  • The more time goes by the more he is proven right end the fed. Well today gold hit 1490 I don't think we will have the fed much longer anyway.

  • Such a reasonable man. As more and more of RP's concerns borne out, it becomes increasingly difficult for the main-stream to dismiss him as a fringe element. I hope he inspires likeminded pols in the US and Canada to stick to their guns.

  • ghetto healthcare!

  • I'd take a Congress full of Ron Pauls over the knuckleheads we have in there now.

  • well, that closed on what I can't help but see as a very positive note for him. Make love not war. I guess I'll go sign myself up for that.

  • There's no NWO, it's just as Oedipal a perspective as god and government being necessary to how individuals live their lives.

There is a political class. My view is that more people should hate politicians, look at what they do.

Also are we better without them, well, just like with god superstition we clearly are.

  • 15 different federal agencys all spending a minimum 400 million a year. dont cut back any of those agencys hell no we are in debt lets create 3 new agencys with a nationalized HC. After all that does make sense lol.

  • Makes sense to me.... J/K : ) Only the government thinks that expanding government is the best solution......Wake Up America!!

  • When he laughs, his whole body joins in.

  • God knows I love Ron Paul I will vote for him in 2012 but I am in disagreement with him on universal health care, I don't care what any one says it works in other countries, I have relatives that tell me about how great it is in these countries, but after saying that I am not sure how the USA would fair because of the way our congress is they would probably screw it up I sure, but it is worth a try, my health insurance has increased a lot and I am not happy with it, so I for it.

  • Ithink folks forget that universal coverage only covers"necessities."The next question is"who decides what you need?"Ask an AmericanERdoctor,he'll say he never gets rejected performing a service on a medicaid patient and he makes the decision(just like foreign doctors with nat.hlth care say). However,in both cases, neither doctor works in the billing department, and are in fact subcontracted to work the ER.They have no idea the costs involved or how much the hospital has to"eat"in unpaid services.

  • Sorry but that is not true Ayudria, please wath "Sick around the world" and "Sick around America" 2 Documentries that are free to watch on the PBS website. I think after watching it you wont feel the same.

  • well ... you are not listening! He clearly said "cut spending overseas" and he applauded Obama for cutting on F22 spending... so Obama needs to do more of that ... i.e. cut unenecessary overseas spending...and there are whole lot of them (by Ron's estimate 100s of billion if not a trillion PER YEAR!!!)

    So ....

  • Cut spending overseas, I am just saying, thats very broad, Cut it where, and where is that money going to go after? If he dosnt want a goverment run program, what are you cutting the spending for. What would it have to do with healthcare if he does not want to invest that money in the people.

I knew I would get thumbs down on a Ron Paul video, but please guys, dont worship a man, worship ideas. I have respect for RP but I really dont understand what his plan would be for HC, do you Lord?

  • I agree with you about not worshiping men. Inflation is a very complex issue that's hard to talk about in a news bit or a 500 character limit post, but that is the root cause of the explosion of prices in the healthcare industry and education industry. Now Paul mentions inflation in the video but not how to curb it. The central reserve banking system is the root cause of our inflation, and Paul often talks about that in other videos, his solution would be a complete monetary reform.

  • So your saying that his plan would be to fix the banking system, and that will fix the healthcare system. Or did I misunderstand.

It seems a bit unpredictable what the "Free Market" will do under cretin situations, What I do know is that a corporation, will do what ever it can to maximize profits, and they should! BUT, I think there are some fields we should keep profit out of, Fire Department, Police, Healthcare. Just because of the inevitable result that people without funds will suffer.

  • cut spending overseas=stop going to war abroad unless it is a matter of nat.security.On NCIS last night(the tv show)a"soldier"said he hated going overseas to protect his country, but can't protect his own family(he was accused of murder). What the"soldier"failed to understand is that you can't protect the country overseas, either. We need a defensive stance to defend, not an offensive stance(those are used to offend).Defending the US would cost less than defending Iraq/S.Korea/Germany/etc.

  • Also, the only way for me to stay in business is to see medicaid patients every 15minutes.They get less testing, less comforts, less time, and lower quality product because of gov regulations on benefits and low reimbursement.Additionally,I am theONLYprovider in ~40 miles.I have tried referring a patient out to a specialist for 9 months with no luck!!Obama's plan still allows me to choose not to accept the nat. insurance. I wont. It'll be no better than medicaid (for patients).

  • Try listening again, perhaps you just missed it.Did you know that for every 100 drugs that a company develops, only 7 make it to the U.S. market? The gov charges millions to go through FDA testing, and 93% of the drugs are rejected.Even still, people die as a result of meds sometimes. If you get rid of the FDA,we'd have many more drugs to treat health concerns, and they'd cost less because of lower R&D costs and greater competition.Get gov out of medicine and you'll find it costs less.

  • 3 posts and I still dont know what his health plan is, Getting rid of the FDA is not a very good idea Ayudria, the 93% of drugs that are rejected would be rejected for good reasons. Like, there is already a drug out there that does the same thing, or... you may die taking it.

People should not need a docters degree to decide what medications they can take, thats what the FDA is for, to protect people from companys who would sell you poision if it made them money.

  • RPs plan...basically:

Medical expenditures are 100% tax free

if you owe $1M cancer treatment,$1M of your income is not taxed.

For those who are dependent on Gov Assitance,RP would bring home the troops from bases and wars to pay for that medical attention.

For the person with $1M treatment bill they can't afford even tax free, they qualify for Gov Assistance (if they can't work, etc.) or they simply work out a payment plan or discount with the hospital (like people do now).

  • Thank you, that is by far the most clear answer I got so far.

However, it leaves the for profit system in place, which I am not a big fan of. For someone like myself who freelances, so I make money but dont want to fork out 400$ a month, it would not effect me. And for someone who has cancer works but cant get a private plan, how would it effect them? Is there a change planned? what aobut the 1mil people who file for bankruptcy a year due to medical bills even tho they have inssurance?

  • Not to mention the FDA, like a plethora of other government agencies, is unconstitutional.
