take them out of the wild so you can ship them off to mexico to get slaghtered look your right about them not being truly wild but your wrong about about them starving because they arent, the main reason people love wild horses so much is because they symbolize freedom.
To Big Mouth Hillbilly, horses were here before the Europeans...do some homework...Some Indian tribes documented them. They are called feral because the BLM took them off their land for cattle ranchers. They are not starving it's all bs...so they have an excuse to round them up....next time you venture out, I hope they run after you and bite you in the ass.
lol UR as stupid as jersey boy, he doesnt even realise we have a SHIT LOAD wild horses in new mexico, probably doesnt even know its part of the US.
u ignorant shits need to learn more about these horses and quit w/ the romantic notion that they are "wild" they are not, they are an invasive domestic species turned loose by man, by ur reasoning we should open up all the dog pounds and let the "wolfs" run free in the wild. stupid asses
@bigNMhillbilly You sound so ridiculously stupid. Wild horses are not an invasive species. Yes they came over with the Spanish but they were here before. They just moved out. They crossed the land bridge. This is their home and they deserve to stay. And as for the dogs and wolves "theory" you have, dogs are not wolves. They are domesticated and have been specifically BRED to live with man. They are not wolves. Wolves are untamed and have been purely wild thorugh history. Doesn't prove anything
@TheBlueRainEquus listen up silly one..the "wild" horses we have here are nothing like the native horses that once live here in NA which nature selected for extinction on this continent...sure some used beringia to leave but the rest died this land is not suited for them anymore..they are like DOGS which have a wild ancestor and which they are now thothing like because of selective breeding by man..these horses are the same! bred by man, changed by man TOO LIVE WITH MAN, not in the WILD!
@bigNMhillbilly The mustang has changed much since they escaped from the Spanish conquistadors. It's been more than half a century. They have reevolved to work with the land that was their home. They belong here more than the white settlers.
@TheBlueRainEquus Try checking into it for urself...the horse species that once lived here in NA where SMALLER some as small as dogs, many had three toes..the modern horse as we know it didnt originate here.its ancestors came from here and evolved into the more modern versions of horse..then some came back over the land bridge and those died out, even they where more like zebras than a large domestic horse a beast of burden and has a high metabolism, they eat more lb for lb than any wild animsl
They had three toes very early in their evolution. They became one toed here on American soil. THEN they crossed the land bridge. During the time of Plesippus, which is the one-toed horse that resembled Arabians, was when the climate changed and they were forced to move. What you have forgotten is that some went South as well as the crossing the land bridge. They are still native.
@TheBlueRainEquu..how many "wild" horses have you actually seen? i can tell you ive seen thousands and presently on our land and forest lease we have apx. 100 head running around in our back yard...they are no different than the domestic horses we have other than the fact they are for the most part sorry looking animals, inbred swaybacked and hammerheaded...i might also add diseased and in generally poor condition.
@bigNMhillbilly I've seen at the least one hundred. And to me that's luck, because they're almost gone. Unlike you I would LOVE to see them in my backyard.
@TheBlueRainEquus as far as ur Bio lesson lol..i guess i didnt tell u i not only know what i know from experience but i did major in zoology, ecology, biology & ag..and as far as horse shit being a good thing LOL! i guess u didnt realise IT KILLS GRASS!! so the 10' in diameter stud piles laying all over the place are only good if u eat MUSHROOMS! ..& no they arent magic, which a fuckin hippy like you would probably like :)
@TheBlueRainEquus THEY ARE DOMESTIC ANIMALS a they havnt changed one bit...ur full of shit and know jack about what a "wild" horse is...they dont work with the land they fuck it up...they eat more lb for lb than any cow or wild animal out there, they have large feat which tear up the land and cause erousion and stamp out vital water sourses like seeps, they eat & move like nothing else they will not move from an area till the grass is eatin to dirt cows & wildlife dont do that...u know shit :)
@bigNMhillbilly You are the most ignorant stupid person I've met. I guess you really are a true hillbilly of some run down suburb. Do I need to give you a little biology lesson? Here we go.
@TheBlueRainEquus "some run down suburb" lol! ur funny hehe...actually no we have some of the best water and land in southcentral NM & its been in the family for 7 generations now...we also have always kept it looking better w/ more & healthier wildlife than just about anywhere around us, including forest and indian land...we get rid of pests (horses) and maintain our land & take care of it as it takes care of us, & our wildlife is thriving as well..when the horses are gone it will be very nice
@bigNMhillbilly The horses are mobile, moving constantly. Cattle move slowly, trampling grazing areas, denuding the ranges and destroying plant life. Due to upper incisors, horses nip off plants above ground. Cattle uproot vegetation. Digestive systems of the horses allow rapid passage of partially reduced organic matter, thus contributing soil retaining moisture and nutrients necessary for plant growth.
@TheBlueRainEquus wow for someone who never has SEEN "wild" horse u sure do know alot about what they are doing to the land LOL! my family has been ranching here on this land for 142yrs and we've seen what they do, we border the mescalero reservation & they dont graze catlle over the fence yet they are overrun w/ horses like parts of our land and they TEAR SHIT UP WAY WORSE THAN CATTLE :)
@TheBlueRainEquus ranching in qoutes huh LOL...somewhere over the rainbow.. rainbow bright :) if u wanna use qoutes rainbow, use them on the "wild" in wild horses....these are not wild they are FERAL...just like an escape poodle is not a "wild" dog or a fucking wolf!! these are DOMESTIC LIVESTOCK GONE ESTRAY!! that is why ESTRAY laws apply to them!!
@bigNMhillbilly You're continuing to be wrong. There are thousands among those horses that were BORN on the RANGE, not in a stall, not in a pasture, WILD and FREE. Sure, in every herd (if herds even exist anymore with what we've done) there are escaped horses from ranches. But they live in a WILD herd. They have blood in their veins that links them to the horses of the Spanish conquistadors. The Native Americans marveled at them when they arrived. This will always be the land of the horse.
@TheBlueRainEquus yeah and the indians had domestic dogs when the spanish arived...the spanish had pigs as well...many dogs, and pigs are running around wild too....i guess even though they both do not belong in the wild, put under the care of man LIKE THESE DOMESTIC HORSES...we should just let them roam free, no matter how much damage they do or how unhealthy they are right?
@bigNMhillbilly Yup, that's exactly what we should do. Because the horses are doing no damage, and they are very healthy, until they come in contact with roundups.
One cow can do more damage to the land in it's lifetime than an entire herd of wild horses. Get them off the range first, I have no problem whatsoever of having no beef on my plate.
@TheBlueRainEquus where the fuck do u get ur info?? fuckin dr.suess? that is the bigest load of shit ive heard from you yet rainbow! LMFAO have you ever seen wild horses at all? have you ever seen land grazed by cattle and horses? cuz i have, MY WHOLE LIFE!! ive seen what horses do and what cows do first hand and you so far off its not even funny!!
@TheBlueRainEquus cattle fill a niche left by bison pretty well, when grazed properly they benifit the land, as do the ranchers paying for grazing leases on public land, w/o us, there wouldnt be a fraction of the water suplies that wildlife & these damn horses u know nothing about need...they dont run horses on the reservation we border, but its full of horses, & ours is relativly horse thin, & we have cattle on it, AND IT LOOKS BETTER & HAS A HEALTHIER WILDLIFE POPULATION!! u know jack shit!
WSMR HERD, right near my home, in 1994, after decades of suffering through droughts, food shortages 100's died. & almost 2000 were in such dire straits that they were unlikely to survive. In a race to prevent more tragic deaths, large-animal veterinarian Don Höglund was called in to organize and lead a team of dedicated cowboys, soldiers, and other professionals in removing the surviving horses and their babies to safety & placed where they need to be UNDER THE CARE OF MAN!
@TheBlueRainEquus these horses in the wild are very healthy my fuckin ass, ive seen them die, starve, suffer, inbreed, suffer through disease first hand you stupid fuck, u & people like you make me sick, a fuckin bullet would be more humane than making these animals suffer! you dont care about THEM all u care about is ur little romantic notions and fantasy world bullshit! THEY ARE NOT WILD ANIMALS & tho some can do fairly well in the wild THAT IS NOT THE NORM!
@bigNMhillbilly Ok you need to calm down for a second because I think your anger issues are handicapping your common sense. You are shooting lies and make-believe at me from all directions and I really don't care because you are speaking no truth. Go ahead and swear at me it only makes you look even more like some redneck hillbilly.
@TheBlueRainEquus yeah ur right stupidity and cruelty on ur level as well as the lack of care for the natural world, frankly it makes me want to puke when i here dipshits like you spit out complete and utter nonsence....especially when you have absolutly no first hand experience in the matters which your are mouthing about
@TheBlueRainEquus like i said, ive lived and worked and played around "wild" horses all of my life, i know what they do to the land and what kind of shape they are in where i live, sure these herds u see on nat geo programs up in some refuge in montana where they get the human care ALL DOMESTIC ANIMALS SHOULD HAVE look healthy, but here in the desert southwest that is just not the case, nor can this land sustain an animal like them on the scale needed to sustain a healthy population
@TheBlueRainEquus this land is not made to support horses, they move differently and eat more pound for pound than any wild species, cattle fill a niche left open by bison pretty well, horses have no niche to fill as there was nor is anything resimbling them in the natural native species of this continent. the pop needed to sustain a genetically deverse & healthy herd just simply cannot be supported here on this land w/o adversly effecting the natural habitat & native species, simple as that!
@bigNMhillbilly Cattle do not fill any niches, they are not wild bison. There is probably more of them today then there were bison back then. The land was perfect when wild horses were around, and then when humans get in the mix, all of a sudden, it's chaos. Interesting isn't it?
@TheBlueRainEquus LOL! man ur clueless and might i add very uncivilized..if u dont like humans so then do the planet a favor and kill urself :)...as far as cattle not filling a niche left open by bison..HA! ive happend to work w/ both and BOTH act nearly identical as far as grazing and movements go..
@TheBlueRainEquus aslo...ur right about the choas when humans get involved and especially when we dont do what is right...like REMOVING ENVASIVE SPECIES...the land here HAD NO HORSES UNTIL PEOPLE GOT INTO THE MIX! fuck ur a stupid ass no brained idiot arent you? man created this strain of domestic hores...let them get loose...now they are fucking up land and endagering native species...& a bunch of dippy ass bleeding hearts like you think they belong here so the problem stays...choas indeed
@TheBlueRainEquus like ive said before ur goofy ass has probaly never even seen a "wild" horse in person or worked w/ cattle bison or on wildlands in general..but u know huh? lol...ive been out working, guiding & hunting hard around our place this month & have seen no less than 50..saw one new colt his mamma and a big stud yesterday morning in fact. actually not to bad looking animals right now, & the colt was cute as hell, but THEY DONT BELONG RUNNING AROUND LOOSE ON THE LAND PLAIN & SIMPLE!!
@TheBlueRainEquus we have feral pigs and dogs on and around our land as well as these horses...NONE of them are good for the land or good for wildlife, they spread disease, BECAUSE ALL DOMESTIC ANIMALS NEED VACINATIONS, which they dont get! by ur idiot ass reasoning, we should open all the pounds doors and let all the cats and dogs that where born stray out to run free...right rainbow?u know jack shit about what needs to be done are are to blinded by some bs romantic notions to do whats right!
@bigNMhillbilly Letting domesticated cats and dogs loose is NOT my idea. If that's what you think of me you haven't be listening. Those animals are already too tame for their own good. I would LOVE it if we could release them, their life would be better, but unlike the wild horses, THEY don't know how to survive! We've tamed them past their own good.
@TheBlueRainEquus since yo obviously have never seen or been around any agriculture, horses, or wild land, you should try and read up on the subject, try the book "nobody's horses" i worked around and lived around that herd! it was horrible what was going on with them and a round up was the biggest blessing those poor things could have ever hoped for, along w/ the endangered species on that land that they where putting at risk for extinction!! you need to grow up and do some learning rainbow!
@TheBlueRainEquus Dear Rainbow Brite, the way to take care of a bunch of sorry ass feral horses is SSS...we all know that around here...S.S.S. "shoot, shovel, & shut up" :) we use to trap them and haul them off to market to be made into alpo & elmers, but since thats not paying enough to even cover fuel now...one of the best ways to do it is a 22. bullet to the gut...that way they run off and die somewhere and feed a truley native species like a coyote or bear!..now u hate me more huh? :(
@bigNMhillbilly No I don't hate you, I feel very sorry for you. I feel sorry for the beautiful free horses that have to look at your ugly face and I feel sorry for the land that has you stomping all over it...
Look at this stupid fucking redneck motherfucker! He is supposed to be 33 years old and cant even spell simple words and yet he wants us to believe he knows about horses.!LOL. First learn how to read and then go to AA.Then when you can figure out what end your ass is on ,stop talking out of it you so you can then talk to me with some sense.Until then! Shut the fuck up pig! lol. He lives in New Mexico and thinks he know something about wild horses. That is the funniest thing that I have ever heard
the genetic makeup and foundation bloodstock of those breeds is substantially derived from domesticated horses, and therefore these breeds possess domesticated traits.
The term "wild horse" is also used colloquially to refer to free roaming herds of feral horses such as the Mustang in the United States. These feral horses are untamed members of the domestic horse subspecies (Equus ferus caballus), and should not be confused with the two truly "wild" horse
talk about looking ignorant u foul mouthed nasty talkin bastard, i may not be able to spell lol but u cant talk w/o being a stereotyping racist foul mouthed moron and to me that shows alot more about how ignorant someone is than thier spelling lol
ill post a vid of a wild horse for u, and yes they are out my backdoor, just so u can see what one looks like since they dont have any on the 10acres of wildland in jersey lol
wow ur so original, w/ ur slurs lol u should be a writer lol...goofy punk. u havnt the first clue about horses or the land that much is apparent, u know nothing about their morphology or grazing habits. ur nothing but a silly little goofball w/ some romantic notions about "wild" horses.
look at the conspiracy theorist jersey boy, thinks the blm helped to make up the fossil record that shows plainly that NO HORSES HAVE BEEN IN N.A. FOR 10'S OF THOUSANDS OF YEARS till the europeans brought these feral ones over.
if he hears otherwise, he runs his stupid old wrinkled foul mouth spouting off insults then he blocks u, just like he blocks out facts in his fairytail world of makebelieve.
Get a grip little old fella and get some help u need it badly ur sick!
Hillbilly walks about as far as his land allows him and know no further, because if he did he would know what he says is just stupidity and lack of knowledge.New Mexico isnt known for its wild horses. The only wild horses in New Mexico are the Placita herd. Hey hillbilly go talk to Patience O'dowd.Maybe she can teach you something.
as far as the the only wild horses in NM being the placita herd mr "horse studing knowitall" just google search "white sands missle range wild horses" and ull see not only a story about the 2000 wild horses that were starving to death and dying out here near my home, that were thankfully REMOVED. u know shit, what were u studing the fiction or kiddy book section at the library LOL
bigNMHillbilly is a dope!If you people listen to his comments about wild horse syou will become very stupid for listening to him. This poor guy has more of an issue spelling his own name let alone knowing about the history of wild horses. All you can do is feel sorry for this pathetic puke! He needs to put out of his misery by being trampled to death by a herd of what he calls feral horses!Poor dumb bastard!
guys like this jersey guy has absolutly no care for these horses or the land they are running wild on. That or he is grossly misinformed or blind to facts and truth.
"NO WILD HORSES STARVING ON THE RANGE" what a goon, i see them just about everytime i walk around the forest near our land and on it, they are poor, inbred, malnurished, and in need of vacinations THAT ALL DOMESTIC ANIMALS NEED! I happen to care about the land and the wildlife, and these horses, its obvious Jerseyfool doesnt!
I have studied the horse for 40 years asshole! You have nothing in your resume but shit for an education. Meet me somewhere hillbilly.Anywhere anytime and we will see what you know vs what I know!
Ur full of shit! studied horses 40yrs LMFAO! u dont even know these are a DOMESTIC STRAIN OF HORSE the only wild horse left in the world is the mongolian wild horse, and these feral horses here in N.A. are NOT WILD AND WHERE NOT HERE BEFORE THE EUROPEANS, yes there where horses here dummy but those went extict many thousands of years ago. WTF have u been studing fuckin kids books and fairy tails? cuz u know absolutly shit fella LOLOLOLOLOl
STOP the BLM from "horse wars" and eliminating wild mustangs! I have a little BLM palomino filly myself. She is the most friendly and trusting animal! I would hate to see others like her killed or euthanized because of the BLM's MISMANAGEMENT of OUR wild horses!!!! Sign the online petitions at The CLoud Foundation and Let 'Em Run and even the BLM website itself! Thank you!
They are just like stray dogs, they are DOMESTIC animals, bred by man to live w/ our help not to run free, they can no more survive properly in the wild than ur dog could. the large hoofs we bred them to have need care & destroy habitat. As far as killing them well if u wanna flip the bill to take care of them all after they are removed then be my guest, but u shouldnt expect other taxpayers too, just cuz u think they need to be kept. To let them run free is cruel & bad for the environment!
bigNMhillbilly (how fitting),just to end this..as I really don't feel that you are educated enough in your topic to continue to bother arguing with you, I will say this: if you don't like wild horses, don't look at videos about them, and then make snide and nasty comments that would be better kept to yourself. Go look at something else...if you can find ANYTHING that you DO like. And keep your nastiness to yourself. The world would be much better without it.
yeah i only see them everytime i go behind my house, and see them on all the land around here, not to mention ive attended meetings about them w/ the feds and blm and state, what would i know. by the way me saying they are sorry looking doesnt mean i dont like them, in fact i know i care more about them than u. the reason i know that is i care that these animals are in bad condition and its not humane to let them continue in that contition
Please...whoever chooses to watch this. Please tell your friends to write to the BLM and your state legislators to stop the sale and slaughter of our 'American' dream These animals were here before us, and should damn well be here after us. If it wasn't for these horses, we would never have been able to come west. They are our heritage..please don't let them destroy it.
These animals where not here before us, they are DOMESTIC animals bred and brought here by europeans. by ur way of thinking we should just let all the dogs and cats out of pounds and cut them loose in the wild to fend for themselves. i know most people see these fanciful videos and think "oh how beautiful" well we have around 30-40 mustangs on our land and they are all poor, inbred sorry looking wrecks, its cruel & wrong to let a DOMESTIC animal fend for itself. they are not natural or native!
They destroy habitat and compete with wildlife, and they need to be removed! we catch & remove every horse we can! we happen to love nature, the environment & our land, we also feel sorry for the wild horses, they are in bad shape and it is much more humane to catch them and take them out of the wild than to let them continue to live in the wild.
true n. america once had horses, but nature selected them for extinction & they were nothing like the domestic horses u see today.
As for SORRY ANYTHING, you are the epitomy of SORRY. You need to do a bit of research, and learn to control your opinionated self-centered, ignorant attitude and open your eyes to the world around you and see how beautiful it could be if people like you were wiped from the earth. These animals deserve peace, kindness, and honor.
it just so happens i have lived my whole life w/ nature & these animals, as my ancestors have for generations. u have no clue whats right for these creatures. if u saw them suffering, starving and freezing, inbreeding ect like i do EVERYTIME I GO BEHIND MY HOUSE u would want something done about it too i think. if u saw a domestic dog starving on the streets u would want it picked up, but a DOMESTIC horse is somehow different YOUR SICK! not to mention ive seen the damage the cause to nature!
I respect what you say when it comes to watching them starve. If it wasn't for the europeans coming to our lands and taking every inch of land to themselves, these animals would be able to survive without 'competing' with the other wildlife. you are right, something needs to be done. but what our country has decided to do isn't right either.
there are other ways to do things besides to ravage and kill everything in our path. if you have any GOOD ideas, I would love to hear them, as people taking them off of the lands and taking them home, only to neglect and starve them because they can't afford to feed them isn't going to work. And killing them all won't work, they have NOT been selected for extinction by nature, if that was the case, we wouldn't have any wild horses in North America today.
In the late 1800's to the early 1900s people tried to wipe out all of the horses, and Native Americans, and neither would falter. Doesn't that say something to you? That they are stronger than we are? They are beautiful, and if it wasn't for them, many things in our world today would be much different. please think about them in a better light, as we all deserve to be.
sorry but saying they wernt selected by nature for exticntion is irrelivent, they werent created by nature, hence they cant be selected by nature for extinction, horses are not and indangered species. they do not belong here they are a foriegn species brought in by man and if history shows us anything it shows that this is very very seldom a good thing and never a good thing if those species go unchecked.
sorry i do know and have sympothy for the plight of NA and the wild animals they depended on such as the bison that where both driven to almost total anialation. my great grandmother was full blooded comanche and most of my friends and nieghbors are apache as our land has bordered the res. for 132 yrs. but NA didnt know what a horse was till europeans brought them here, they are not indiginous to this continent and they need to be removed.
You need to be removed because your opinion based which is based upon false documentation by the ecologists that work for the BLM is inaccurate and incorrect. The horses were here long before the Europeans came here. AND before the Spanish Conquistadors and their Spanish Colonial horses.
I have a really good idea, let the people that study the impact that these animals have on our public land, have degrees in such subjects, and do it for a living do what they think is best. I know its a hard to stomache euthanizing any stray domestic animal that has no one to care for it, but sometimes just like is done in pounds and shelters everyday its the best way to handle the problem weither we like it or not. all animals deserve our love and respect even if its tough love.
look whats done is done, europeans took the lands and changed them, we cant dwell on past mistakes we can only do whats right for these animals, nature and the land. we gotta look at the future and if we continue to let these ferril horses and other introduced species run rampant w/ no control over their #'s it will threaten the little that is left. as keepers of the land and DOMESTIC ANIMALS, such as these horses, we have the responsability to look past our emotions and do whats right.
There are no wild horse is starving or dying of thirst on the ranges!None! After 35 years of seeing for myself I can attest to the fact that it a fallacy. The BLM duped the public into believing that the horses are starving and dying of thirst for no other reason but to warrant their purpose to eradicate them.Your information has been falsely reported and documented.
are u fuckin kidding? i just say some behind my house YESTERDAY! they are in ver poor condition. I dont know where in the hell ur seeing FERAL HORSES, BUT IT SURE AS HELL AINT IN NEW MEXICO. secondly "these feral domestic horses where here before europeans & conquestadors (which are one in the same by the way" ur a joke dude, u have no idea what ur talking about. The horses on this conteninent that NATURE NOT MAN PUT HERE went extinct 1000's of years ago and didnt not resimble these horses!
stupid fuck the placita herd is in northern new mexico lol we are in southern new mexico, and yes dummy there are wild horses, ur pathetic, a racist and a fucking scumbag horsehating son of a bitch just shut the fuck up already lol u know absolutly shit fella. my family has been here on and next to the mescalero reservation and for many generations, we know more about taking care of the land and whats on it than u ever fucking will wise guy LOL
really poor condition becuase asswipes like me ruin the land? lol there are no cattle grazing on the mescalero reservation and they are in just as bad of shape as those on grazing leases on the lincoln national forest, i think we should start doing what the indians do and start solving the problem w/ bullets maybe, becuase dumb shit horse and nature haters like u bitch when they are rounded up. we catch everyone we can and take them to market the next one i catch ill name jerseyrenegade lol
the fact that domestic horses where dirived from a truly wild line, has not bearing on the subject. the fact is they are changed drastically from what they originaly came from and CANNOT SURIVE properly w/o human help. by ur ignorant way of thinking because a poodle was dirived from a wolf they should be able to fend for themselves and dog pounds are stupid, we should just let poor starving stray dogs AND HORSES continue to live w/o our help lol. get over urself u know less than u think
to continue...So nature is selecting them (the horses) for extinction? What do you think nature has in store for humans? Or wait a minute...we do it to ourselves, nature doesn't need to select us for extinction, human kind will be it's own downfall with your kind of thinking...and I'm so sorry for you and others who think like you. You and those like you deserve to be dragged into a horse trailer with no food water and sent to a slaughter house, not these horses.
people like u have no care or clue for earth, nature, the environment or these horses, ur self centered attidude and refusal to to whats right, even though it might be hard to stomache are the reason that human kind and all of nature are in such trouble in the first place. u act like u know something about me and how to take care of our lands and animals, u sit in ur comfortable homes and bitch when someone w/ enough sense and care does something about it.
To finish, WE-HUMANS damage the earth, and we make it so those around us who WERE here before us are unable to survive without us. That is why wild horses aren't 'shiny' and pretty. They aren't show horses...they are WILD. They live off of the land...like a WILD animal. So, when a cougar, wolf, snake, bobcat, bear or any other WILD animal eat from the trees, grass, livestock, etc., they should be killed because they are 'damaging' the earth? Give me a break.
THESE ARE NOT WILD ANIMALS they are DOMESTIC animals no matter how beutiful they are, they do not belong in the wild any more than any other domestic animal. to compare these horses to truley wild ones is the stupidest thing ive ever heard, its like compairing a poodle to a wolf. would u let a poodle loose in the woods & say "go be free"? no, it would be cruel & irresponsable! Ur a sick cruel uninformed person! u ovbviously know nothing of aggriculture or nature & no love or respect 4 animals!
A horse technically IS a WILD AMIMAL. DO YOUR RESEARCH.American wild horses, chincotigue ponies, Brumbees, Arabians (the base to 90% of all horse breeds all over the world) etc. were DOMESTICATED BY HUMANS-therefore needing to be WILD prior to domestication, whether it be on this continent or another. If humans did not intervene, and take over land like ants, all animals would be able to survive without causing damage to the earth.
do ur research, ALL domestic animals come from wild animals lol. and u obviously know nothing about animals or anything along the lines of how to care for them and the effect they have on the environment. people like u are a joke u think that experts and people who deal w/ such things for a living know less than u. and as far as human pop be to much ur right, but its something that cant and wont be stoped all we can do is do our best to preserve what we have.
these animals arent damaging habitat? lol u know NOTHING ive seen first hand what they did to the tularosa basin before they where removed, they are larger and have bigger more destructive hoofs than any NATURALY OCCURING animal. they NATURAL habitat that had been there 4 1000's of years in and around seep and cone springs, that held a fish unique to the world THAT NATURE PUT THERE would have been destroyed by these stray ferril horses if they hadnt been removed.
u say they dont cause habitat destruction funny that all the EXPERTSA and anyone w/ eyes could see what they where doing in the tularosa basin, if we would have left them there we humans would have been responsible (since we introduced this domestic foriegn domestic animal) for the extinction of an animal and a habitat unique to the world and that until the intorduction of these "undestructive" animals were in perfect health. you really need to leave this to the experts ur grossly uninformed!
thank you so much for helping them i wouldnt dream of having horses or any animal not being here. thank you so much! i would love to help save these beautiful animals!
Thanks for posting this I am working hard to stop them from killing the horses. I already have tons of people on live video signing petitions....this is a good video and so true. Thank you
Thanks for putting this up. The BLM just had a meeting on Monday and has decided to kill the 34,000 wild horses and burros it has taken off the range.
Save the wild horses!! We need change to keep our American Hertiage!!

@TheBlueRainEquus listen up silly one..the "wild" horses we have here are nothing like the native horses that once live here in NA which nature selected for extinction on this continent...sure some used beringia to leave but the rest died this land is not suited for them anymore..they are like DOGS which have a wild ancestor and which they are now thothing like because of selective breeding by man..these horses are the same! bred by man, changed by man TOO LIVE WITH MAN, not in the WILD!
bigNMhillbilly 1 year ago
@bigNMhillbilly The mustang has changed much since they escaped from the Spanish conquistadors. It's been more than half a century. They have reevolved to work with the land that was their home. They belong here more than the white settlers.
TheBlueRainEquus 1 year ago
@TheBlueRainEquus Try checking into it for urself...the horse species that once lived here in NA where SMALLER some as small as dogs, many had three toes..the modern horse as we know it didnt originate here.its ancestors came from here and evolved into the more modern versions of horse..then some came back over the land bridge and those died out, even they where more like zebras than a large domestic horse a beast of burden and has a high metabolism, they eat more lb for lb than any wild animsl
bigNMhillbilly 1 year ago
@bigNMhillbilly The only beast of burden is Man.
TheBlueRainEquus 1 year ago
@TheBlueRainEquu..how many "wild" horses have you actually seen? i can tell you ive seen thousands and presently on our land and forest lease we have apx. 100 head running around in our back yard...they are no different than the domestic horses we have other than the fact they are for the most part sorry looking animals, inbred swaybacked and hammerheaded...i might also add diseased and in generally poor condition.
bigNMhillbilly 1 year ago
@bigNMhillbilly I've seen at the least one hundred. And to me that's luck, because they're almost gone. Unlike you I would LOVE to see them in my backyard.
TheBlueRainEquus 1 year ago
@TheBlueRainEquus as far as ur Bio lesson lol..i guess i didnt tell u i not only know what i know from experience but i did major in zoology, ecology, biology & ag..and as far as horse shit being a good thing LOL! i guess u didnt realise IT KILLS GRASS!! so the 10' in diameter stud piles laying all over the place are only good if u eat MUSHROOMS! ..& no they arent magic, which a fuckin hippy like you would probably like :)
bigNMhillbilly 1 year ago
@TheBlueRainEquus THEY ARE DOMESTIC ANIMALS a they havnt changed one bit...ur full of shit and know jack about what a "wild" horse is...they dont work with the land they fuck it up...they eat more lb for lb than any cow or wild animal out there, they have large feat which tear up the land and cause erousion and stamp out vital water sourses like seeps, they eat & move like nothing else they will not move from an area till the grass is eatin to dirt cows & wildlife dont do that...u know shit :)
bigNMhillbilly 1 year ago
@bigNMhillbilly You are the most ignorant stupid person I've met. I guess you really are a true hillbilly of some run down suburb. Do I need to give you a little biology lesson? Here we go.
TheBlueRainEquus 1 year ago
@TheBlueRainEquus "some run down suburb" lol! ur funny hehe...actually no we have some of the best water and land in southcentral NM & its been in the family for 7 generations now...we also have always kept it looking better w/ more & healthier wildlife than just about anywhere around us, including forest and indian land...we get rid of pests (horses) and maintain our land & take care of it as it takes care of us, & our wildlife is thriving as well..when the horses are gone it will be very nice
bigNMhillbilly 1 year ago
@bigNMhillbilly The horses are mobile, moving constantly. Cattle move slowly, trampling grazing areas, denuding the ranges and destroying plant life. Due to upper incisors, horses nip off plants above ground. Cattle uproot vegetation. Digestive systems of the horses allow rapid passage of partially reduced organic matter, thus contributing soil retaining moisture and nutrients necessary for plant growth.
TheBlueRainEquus 1 year ago
@TheBlueRainEquus wow for someone who never has SEEN "wild" horse u sure do know alot about what they are doing to the land LOL! my family has been ranching here on this land for 142yrs and we've seen what they do, we border the mescalero reservation & they dont graze catlle over the fence yet they are overrun w/ horses like parts of our land and they TEAR SHIT UP WAY WORSE THAN CATTLE :)
bigNMhillbilly 1 year ago
@bigNMhillbilly That just proves it. Even 142 years of "ranching" can't fix a horde of hillbillies like you...
TheBlueRainEquus 1 year ago
@TheBlueRainEquus ranching in qoutes huh LOL...somewhere over the rainbow.. rainbow bright :) if u wanna use qoutes rainbow, use them on the "wild" in wild horses....these are not wild they are FERAL...just like an escape poodle is not a "wild" dog or a fucking wolf!! these are DOMESTIC LIVESTOCK GONE ESTRAY!! that is why ESTRAY laws apply to them!!
bigNMhillbilly 1 year ago
@bigNMhillbilly You're continuing to be wrong. There are thousands among those horses that were BORN on the RANGE, not in a stall, not in a pasture, WILD and FREE. Sure, in every herd (if herds even exist anymore with what we've done) there are escaped horses from ranches. But they live in a WILD herd. They have blood in their veins that links them to the horses of the Spanish conquistadors. The Native Americans marveled at them when they arrived. This will always be the land of the horse.
TheBlueRainEquus 1 year ago
@TheBlueRainEquus yeah and the indians had domestic dogs when the spanish arived...the spanish had pigs as well...many dogs, and pigs are running around wild too....i guess even though they both do not belong in the wild, put under the care of man LIKE THESE DOMESTIC HORSES...we should just let them roam free, no matter how much damage they do or how unhealthy they are right?
bigNMhillbilly 1 year ago
@bigNMhillbilly Yup, that's exactly what we should do. Because the horses are doing no damage, and they are very healthy, until they come in contact with roundups.
One cow can do more damage to the land in it's lifetime than an entire herd of wild horses. Get them off the range first, I have no problem whatsoever of having no beef on my plate.
TheBlueRainEquus 1 year ago
@TheBlueRainEquus where the fuck do u get ur info?? fuckin dr.suess? that is the bigest load of shit ive heard from you yet rainbow! LMFAO have you ever seen wild horses at all? have you ever seen land grazed by cattle and horses? cuz i have, MY WHOLE LIFE!! ive seen what horses do and what cows do first hand and you so far off its not even funny!!
bigNMhillbilly 1 year ago
@TheBlueRainEquus cattle fill a niche left by bison pretty well, when grazed properly they benifit the land, as do the ranchers paying for grazing leases on public land, w/o us, there wouldnt be a fraction of the water suplies that wildlife & these damn horses u know nothing about need...they dont run horses on the reservation we border, but its full of horses, & ours is relativly horse thin, & we have cattle on it, AND IT LOOKS BETTER & HAS A HEALTHIER WILDLIFE POPULATION!! u know jack shit!
bigNMhillbilly 1 year ago
WSMR HERD, right near my home, in 1994, after decades of suffering through droughts, food shortages 100's died. & almost 2000 were in such dire straits that they were unlikely to survive. In a race to prevent more tragic deaths, large-animal veterinarian Don Höglund was called in to organize and lead a team of dedicated cowboys, soldiers, and other professionals in removing the surviving horses and their babies to safety & placed where they need to be UNDER THE CARE OF MAN!
bigNMhillbilly 1 year ago
@TheBlueRainEquus these horses in the wild are very healthy my fuckin ass, ive seen them die, starve, suffer, inbreed, suffer through disease first hand you stupid fuck, u & people like you make me sick, a fuckin bullet would be more humane than making these animals suffer! you dont care about THEM all u care about is ur little romantic notions and fantasy world bullshit! THEY ARE NOT WILD ANIMALS & tho some can do fairly well in the wild THAT IS NOT THE NORM!
bigNMhillbilly 1 year ago
@bigNMhillbilly Ok you need to calm down for a second because I think your anger issues are handicapping your common sense. You are shooting lies and make-believe at me from all directions and I really don't care because you are speaking no truth. Go ahead and swear at me it only makes you look even more like some redneck hillbilly.
TheBlueRainEquus 1 year ago
@TheBlueRainEquus yeah ur right stupidity and cruelty on ur level as well as the lack of care for the natural world, frankly it makes me want to puke when i here dipshits like you spit out complete and utter nonsence....especially when you have absolutly no first hand experience in the matters which your are mouthing about
bigNMhillbilly 1 year ago
@TheBlueRainEquus like i said, ive lived and worked and played around "wild" horses all of my life, i know what they do to the land and what kind of shape they are in where i live, sure these herds u see on nat geo programs up in some refuge in montana where they get the human care ALL DOMESTIC ANIMALS SHOULD HAVE look healthy, but here in the desert southwest that is just not the case, nor can this land sustain an animal like them on the scale needed to sustain a healthy population
bigNMhillbilly 1 year ago
@TheBlueRainEquus this land is not made to support horses, they move differently and eat more pound for pound than any wild species, cattle fill a niche left open by bison pretty well, horses have no niche to fill as there was nor is anything resimbling them in the natural native species of this continent. the pop needed to sustain a genetically deverse & healthy herd just simply cannot be supported here on this land w/o adversly effecting the natural habitat & native species, simple as that!
bigNMhillbilly 1 year ago
@bigNMhillbilly Cattle do not fill any niches, they are not wild bison. There is probably more of them today then there were bison back then. The land was perfect when wild horses were around, and then when humans get in the mix, all of a sudden, it's chaos. Interesting isn't it?
TheBlueRainEquus 1 year ago
@TheBlueRainEquus LOL! man ur clueless and might i add very uncivilized..if u dont like humans so then do the planet a favor and kill urself :)...as far as cattle not filling a niche left open by bison..HA! ive happend to work w/ both and BOTH act nearly identical as far as grazing and movements go..
bigNMhillbilly 1 year ago
@TheBlueRainEquus aslo...ur right about the choas when humans get involved and especially when we dont do what is right...like REMOVING ENVASIVE SPECIES...the land here HAD NO HORSES UNTIL PEOPLE GOT INTO THE MIX! fuck ur a stupid ass no brained idiot arent you? man created this strain of domestic hores...let them get loose...now they are fucking up land and endagering native species...& a bunch of dippy ass bleeding hearts like you think they belong here so the problem stays...choas indeed
bigNMhillbilly 1 year ago
@TheBlueRainEquus like ive said before ur goofy ass has probaly never even seen a "wild" horse in person or worked w/ cattle bison or on wildlands in general..but u know huh? lol...ive been out working, guiding & hunting hard around our place this month & have seen no less than 50..saw one new colt his mamma and a big stud yesterday morning in fact. actually not to bad looking animals right now, & the colt was cute as hell, but THEY DONT BELONG RUNNING AROUND LOOSE ON THE LAND PLAIN & SIMPLE!!
bigNMhillbilly 1 year ago
@TheBlueRainEquus we have feral pigs and dogs on and around our land as well as these horses...NONE of them are good for the land or good for wildlife, they spread disease, BECAUSE ALL DOMESTIC ANIMALS NEED VACINATIONS, which they dont get! by ur idiot ass reasoning, we should open all the pounds doors and let all the cats and dogs that where born stray out to run free...right rainbow?u know jack shit about what needs to be done are are to blinded by some bs romantic notions to do whats right!
bigNMhillbilly 1 year ago
@bigNMhillbilly Letting domesticated cats and dogs loose is NOT my idea. If that's what you think of me you haven't be listening. Those animals are already too tame for their own good. I would LOVE it if we could release them, their life would be better, but unlike the wild horses, THEY don't know how to survive! We've tamed them past their own good.
TheBlueRainEquus 1 year ago
@TheBlueRainEquus since yo obviously have never seen or been around any agriculture, horses, or wild land, you should try and read up on the subject, try the book "nobody's horses" i worked around and lived around that herd! it was horrible what was going on with them and a round up was the biggest blessing those poor things could have ever hoped for, along w/ the endangered species on that land that they where putting at risk for extinction!! you need to grow up and do some learning rainbow!
bigNMhillbilly 1 year ago
@TheBlueRainEquus Dear Rainbow Brite, the way to take care of a bunch of sorry ass feral horses is SSS...we all know that around here...S.S.S. "shoot, shovel, & shut up" :) we use to trap them and haul them off to market to be made into alpo & elmers, but since thats not paying enough to even cover fuel now...one of the best ways to do it is a 22. bullet to the gut...that way they run off and die somewhere and feed a truley native species like a coyote or bear!..now u hate me more huh? :(
bigNMhillbilly 1 year ago
@bigNMhillbilly No I don't hate you, I feel very sorry for you. I feel sorry for the beautiful free horses that have to look at your ugly face and I feel sorry for the land that has you stomping all over it...
TheBlueRainEquus 1 year ago
Look at this stupid fucking redneck motherfucker! He is supposed to be 33 years old and cant even spell simple words and yet he wants us to believe he knows about horses.!LOL. First learn how to read and then go to AA.Then when you can figure out what end your ass is on ,stop talking out of it you so you can then talk to me with some sense.Until then! Shut the fuck up pig! lol. He lives in New Mexico and thinks he know something about wild horses. That is the funniest thing that I have ever heard
JerseyRenegade 2 years ago
the genetic makeup and foundation bloodstock of those breeds is substantially derived from domesticated horses, and therefore these breeds possess domesticated traits.
The term "wild horse" is also used colloquially to refer to free roaming herds of feral horses such as the Mustang in the United States. These feral horses are untamed members of the domestic horse subspecies (Equus ferus caballus), and should not be confused with the two truly "wild" horse
THEY DONT BELONG HERE IN THE WILD!
bigNMhillbilly 2 years ago
talk about looking ignorant u foul mouthed nasty talkin bastard, i may not be able to spell lol but u cant talk w/o being a stereotyping racist foul mouthed moron and to me that shows alot more about how ignorant someone is than thier spelling lol
ill post a vid of a wild horse for u, and yes they are out my backdoor, just so u can see what one looks like since they dont have any on the 10acres of wildland in jersey lol
bigNMhillbilly 2 years ago
wow ur so original, w/ ur slurs lol u should be a writer lol...goofy punk. u havnt the first clue about horses or the land that much is apparent, u know nothing about their morphology or grazing habits. ur nothing but a silly little goofball w/ some romantic notions about "wild" horses.
bigNMhillbilly 2 years ago
look at the conspiracy theorist jersey boy, thinks the blm helped to make up the fossil record that shows plainly that NO HORSES HAVE BEEN IN N.A.

JerseyRenegade 2 years ago
as far as the the only wild horses in NM being the placita herd mr "horse studing knowitall" just google search "white sands missle range wild horses" and ull see not only a story about the 2000 wild horses that were starving to death and dying out here near my home, that were thankfully REMOVED. u know shit, what were u studing the fiction or kiddy book section at the library LOL
bigNMhillbilly 2 years ago
bigNMHillbilly is a dope!If you people listen to his comments about wild horse syou will become very stupid for listening to him. This poor guy has more of an issue spelling his own name let alone knowing about the history of wild horses. All you can do is feel sorry for this pathetic puke! He needs to put out of his misery by being trampled to death by a herd of what he calls feral horses!Poor dumb bastard!
JerseyRenegade 2 years ago
guys like this jersey guy has absolutly no care for these horses or the land they are running wild on.
I happen to care about the land and the wildlife, and these horses, its obvious Jerseyfool doesnt!
bigNMhillbilly 2 years ago

Thank you!
deserthorses5 3 years ago
They are just like stray dogs, they are DOMESTIC animals, bred by man to live w/ our help not to run free, they can no more survive properly in the wild than ur dog could. the large hoofs we bred them to have need care & destroy habitat. As far as killing them well if u wanna flip the bill to take care of them all after they are removed then be my guest, but u shouldnt expect other taxpayers too, just cuz u think they need to be kept. To let them run free is cruel & bad for the environment!
bigNMhillbilly 3 years ago
bigNMhillbilly (how fitting),just to end this..as I really don't feel that you are educated enough in your topic to continue to bother arguing with you, I will say this: if you don't like wild horses, don't look at videos about them, and then make snide and nasty comments that would be better kept to yourself. Go look at something else...if you can find ANYTHING that you DO like. And keep your nastiness to yourself. The world would be much better without it.
emarizona 3 years ago
yeah i only see them everytime i go behind my house, and see them on all the land around here, not to mention ive attended meetings about them w/ the feds and blm and state, what would i know. by the way me saying they are sorry looking doesnt mean i dont like them, in fact i know i care more about them than u. the reason i know that is i care that these animals are in bad condition and its not humane to let them continue in that contition
bigNMhillbilly 3 years ago
Please...whoever chooses to watch this. Please tell your friends to write to the BLM and your state legislators to stop the sale and slaughter of our 'American' dream These animals were here before us, and should damn well be here after us. If it wasn't for these horses, we would never have been able to come west. They are our heritage..please don't let them destroy it.
emarizona 3 years ago
These animals where not here before us, they are DOMESTIC animals bred and brought here by europeans. by ur way of thinking we should just let all the dogs and cats out of pounds and cut them loose in the wild to fend for themselves. i know most people see these fanciful videos and think "oh how beautiful" well we have around 30-40 mustangs on our land and they are all poor, inbred sorry looking wrecks, its cruel & wrong to let a DOMESTIC animal fend for itself. they are not natural or native!
bigNMhillbilly 3 years ago
They destroy habitat and compete with wildlife, and they need to be removed! we catch & remove every horse we can! we happen to love nature, the environment & our land, we also feel sorry for the wild horses, they are in bad shape and it is much more humane to catch them and take them out of the wild than to let them continue to live in the wild.
true n. america once had horses, but nature selected them for extinction & they were nothing like the domestic horses u see today.
bigNMhillbilly 3 years ago
As for SORRY ANYTHING, you are the epitomy of SORRY. You need to do a bit of research, and learn to control your opinionated self-centered, ignorant attitude and open your eyes to the world around you and see how beautiful it could be if people like you were wiped from the earth. These animals deserve peace, kindness, and honor.
emarizona 3 years ago
it just so happens i have lived my whole life w/ nature & these animals, as my ancestors have for generations. u have no clue whats right for these creatures. if u saw them suffering, starving and freezing, inbreeding ect like i do EVERYTIME I GO BEHIND MY HOUSE u would want something done about it too i think. if u saw a domestic dog starving on the streets u would want it picked up, but a DOMESTIC horse is somehow different YOUR SICK! not to mention ive seen the damage the cause to nature!
bigNMhillbilly 3 years ago
I respect what you say when it comes to watching them starve. If it wasn't for the europeans coming to our lands and taking every inch of land to themselves, these animals would be able to survive without 'competing' with the other wildlife. you are right, something needs to be done. but what our country has decided to do isn't right either.
emarizona 3 years ago
there are other ways to do things besides to ravage and kill everything in our path. if you have any GOOD ideas, I would love to hear them, as people taking them off of the lands and taking them home, only to neglect and starve them because they can't afford to feed them isn't going to work. And killing them all won't work, they have NOT been selected for extinction by nature, if that was the case, we wouldn't have any wild horses in North America today.
emarizona 3 years ago
In the late 1800's to the early 1900s people tried to wipe out all of the horses, and Native Americans, and neither would falter. Doesn't that say something to you? That they are stronger than we are? They are beautiful, and if it wasn't for them, many things in our world today would be much different. please think about them in a better light, as we all deserve to be.
emarizona 3 years ago
sorry but saying they wernt selected by nature for exticntion is irrelivent, they werent created by nature, hence they cant be selected by nature for extinction, horses are not and indangered species. they do not belong here they are a foriegn species brought in by man and if history shows us anything it shows that this is very very seldom a good thing and never a good thing if those species go unchecked.
bigNMhillbilly 3 years ago
sorry i do know and have sympothy for the plight of NA and the wild animals they depended on such as the bison that where both driven to almost total anialation. my great grandmother was full blooded comanche and most of my friends and nieghbors are apache as our land has bordered the res. for 132 yrs. but NA didnt know what a horse was till europeans brought them here, they are not indiginous to this continent and they need to be removed.
bigNMhillbilly 3 years ago
You need to be removed because your opinion based which is based upon false documentation by the ecologists that work for the BLM is inaccurate and incorrect. The horses were here long before the Europeans came here. AND before the Spanish Conquistadors and their Spanish Colonial horses.
JerseyRenegade 2 years ago
I have a really good idea, let the people that study the impact that these animals have on our public land, have degrees in such subjects, and do it for a living do what they think is best. I know its a hard to stomache euthanizing any stray domestic animal that has no one to care for it, but sometimes just like is done in pounds and shelters everyday its the best way to handle the problem weither we like it or not. all animals deserve our love and respect even if its tough love.
bigNMhillbilly 3 years ago
look whats done is done, europeans took the lands and changed them, we cant dwell on past mistakes we can only do whats right for these animals, nature and the land. we gotta look at the future and if we continue to let these ferril horses and other introduced species run rampant w/ no control over their #'s it will threaten the little that is left. as keepers of the land and DOMESTIC ANIMALS, such as these horses, we have the responsability to look past our emotions and do whats right.
bigNMhillbilly 3 years ago
There are no wild horse is starving or dying of thirst on the ranges!None! After 35 years of seeing for myself I can attest to the fact that it a fallacy. The BLM duped the public into believing that the horses are starving and dying of thirst for no other reason but to warrant their purpose to eradicate them.Your information has been falsely reported and documented.
JerseyRenegade 2 years ago
are u fuckin kidding? i just say some behind my house YESTERDAY! they are in ver poor condition. The horses on this conteninent that NATURE NOT MAN PUT HERE went extinct 1000's of years ago and didnt not resimble these horses!
bigNMhillbilly 2 years ago
Your brain and eyes are in poor condition. LOL. The only reason they are in poor condition is because asswipes like you ruin the land.
JerseyRenegade 2 years ago
stupid fuck the placita herd is in northern new mexico lol we are in southern new mexico, and yes dummy there are wild horses, ur pathetic, a racist and a fucking scumbag horsehating son of a bitch just shut the fuck up already lol u know absolutly shit fella. my family has been here on and next to the mescalero reservation and for many generations, we know more about taking care of the land and whats on it than u ever fucking will wise guy LOL
bigNMhillbilly 2 years ago
really poor condition becuase asswipes like me ruin the land? lol there are no cattle grazing on the mescalero reservation and they are in just as bad of shape as those on grazing leases on the lincoln national forest, i think we should start doing what the indians do and start solving the problem w/ bullets maybe, becuase dumb shit horse and nature haters like u bitch when they are rounded up. we catch everyone we can and take them to market the next one i catch ill name jerseyrenegade lol
bigNMhillbilly 2 years ago
the fact that domestic horses where dirived from a truly wild line, has not bearing on the subject. the fact is they are changed drastically from what they originaly came from and CANNOT SURIVE properly w/o human help. by ur ignorant way of thinking because a poodle was dirived from a wolf they should be able to fend for themselves and dog pounds are stupid, we should just let poor starving stray dogs AND HORSES continue to live w/o our help lol. get over urself u know less than u think
bigNMhillbilly 3 years ago
to continue...So nature is selecting them (the horses) for extinction? What do you think nature has in store for humans? Or wait a minute...we do it to ourselves, nature doesn't need to select us for extinction, human kind will be it's own downfall with your kind of thinking...and I'm so sorry for you and others who think like you. You and those like you deserve to be dragged into a horse trailer with no food water and sent to a slaughter house, not these horses.
emarizona 3 years ago
people like u have no care or clue for earth, nature, the environment or these horses, ur self centered attidude and refusal to to whats right, even though it might be hard to stomache are the reason that human kind and all of nature are in such trouble in the first place. u act like u know something about me and how to take care of our lands and animals, u sit in ur comfortable homes and bitch when someone w/ enough sense and care does something about it.
bigNMhillbilly 3 years ago
To finish, WE-HUMANS damage the earth, and we make it so those around us who WERE here before us are unable to survive without us. That is why wild horses aren't 'shiny' and pretty. They aren't show horses...they are WILD. They live off of the land...like a WILD animal. So, when a cougar, wolf, snake, bobcat, bear or any other WILD animal eat from the trees, grass, livestock, etc., they should be killed because they are 'damaging' the earth? Give me a break.
emarizona 3 years ago
THESE ARE NOT WILD ANIMALS they are DOMESTIC animals no matter how beutiful they are, they do not belong in the wild any more than any other domestic animal. to compare these horses to truley wild ones is the stupidest thing ive ever heard, its like compairing a poodle to a wolf. would u let a poodle loose in the woods & say "go be free"? no, it would be cruel & irresponsable! Ur a sick cruel uninformed person! u ovbviously know nothing of aggriculture or nature & no love or respect 4 animals!
bigNMhillbilly 3 years ago
A horse technically IS a WILD AMIMAL. DO YOUR RESEARCH.American wild horses, chincotigue ponies, Brumbees, Arabians (the base to 90% of all horse breeds all over the world) etc. were DOMESTICATED BY HUMANS-therefore needing to be WILD prior to domestication, whether it be on this continent or another. If humans did not intervene, and take over land like ants, all animals would be able to survive without causing damage to the earth.
emarizona 3 years ago
do ur research, ALL domestic animals come from wild animals lol. and u obviously know nothing about animals or anything along the lines of how to care for them and the effect they have on the environment. people like u are a joke u think that experts and people who deal w/ such things for a living know less than u. and as far as human pop be to much ur right, but its something that cant and wont be stoped all we can do is do our best to preserve what we have.
bigNMhillbilly 3 years ago
these animals arent damaging habitat? lol u know NOTHING ive seen first hand what they did to the tularosa basin before they where removed, they are larger and have bigger more destructive hoofs than any NATURALY OCCURING animal. they NATURAL habitat that had been there 4 1000's of years in and around seep and cone springs, that held a fish unique to the world THAT NATURE PUT THERE would have been destroyed by these stray ferril horses if they hadnt been removed.

u say they dont cause habitat destruction funny that all the EXPERTSA and anyone w/ eyes could see what they where doing in the tularosa basin, if we would have left them there we humans would have been responsible (since we introduced this domestic foriegn domestic animal) for the extinction of an animal and a habitat unique to the world and that until the intorduction of these "undestructive" animals were in perfect health. you really need to leave this to the experts ur grossly uninformed!

Thanks for putting this up. The BLM just had a meeting on Monday and has decided to kill the 34,000 wild horses and burros it has taken off the range.
