i like the concept behind this. i like what they are trying to achieve. but i hate the design and colour. if they perhaps painted it white and tried to make it look slightly more elegant, it would look soooo much better. but i guess that's not what they're trying to do.
I think its really cool. although mabye if it was coated in some sort of smooth glass it would be better, but I guess that defeats the whole 'steel thing'.
How the hell can anybody in their right mind consider that thing beautiful or attractive. Someone needs to tell Mr Kapoor that his design is hated. It hasnt received a mix response. Its received an overwhelmingly negative response. Its like an enormous weed or tumour. And when people say its interesting they mean its crap but are just too polite to say so. Its disgusting. How can that be the best design on offer? How?
He is getting paid how much for this blown up electricity pylon?, he probably designed this by throwing spaghetti at a wall then drawing around it,
they could have used the money better & saved the steel foundry at redcar who could have built something pleasing to the eye instead of this crap,,,,,buying the steel from dr pachauri in india by any chance?.
Is this a joke? I mean, after such an effort to try to impress spectators and tourists they came up with this tower ?!?!?!?!? Sorry to tell you but it looks ugly. The idea of an attraction is very smart but I would expect something better than that....

Kudos to the Mayor of London for having the insight to install such an interesting work of contemporary art!

London's skyline will be ruined by this hairbrained bureacratic scheme.

There should be a vote to decide the best design, so we do not have this thrust upon to our capital's skyline.

Does it represent how much of a swirling mess the UK is in.
Kapoor can do so much better then this. It's a shame his name is going to be put to it

Why Stratford?
It is a shit hole filled with chavs and gangsterchildren
Why did they pick Statford as the area of the olympics?
RandomDirectors 1 year ago
@RandomDirectors because it lies on two ley lines.... :)

@clemburbidgetv oh i was unaware of that
RandomDirectors 1 year ago
@RandomDirectors So only good areas should get good things while the shit areas keep getting shitter?
This is exactly why they picked Stratford for the olympics, to turn run down wasteland into something great.
