Amateur accordionist

I went back to p[laying in 2008 after 41 years. I was also one who believed that the accordion is to be dumped on. I now play contemporary Christian and top 40. I am now convinced that accodrions can play ANY kind of music. I heard heavy metal, techno, country. I played black gospel on accordion. You should start going to the various accordion conventions and join an accordion club.

I have stopped taking my accordion outside to play because the neighbor's dog always stands in his backyard and howls while I play. This video is very good and I like it. Just tell the dogs to get ear plugs. I frequently torture my family on a regular basis with my accordion playing. It's good for them! Fran

Aw, thanks! I'm 39 (38 when this video was taken). I've always loved the accordion; it never fails to make me happy when I hear it. I finally decided to learn how to play, and am very glad I did. Wish I had started sooner!

Are you Linda from "Becker" Anyway...accordion... it's a great hobby and you can learn lots from the circle of fifths structure. Music theory at it's root. Hope you continue studies. The box as gotten dumped on as a music source, in America. Parts of the world still crave it's sound, however. You are lovely, and off to lots of fun.
