Consumer products multinational Unilever said on Thursday that it has acquired the Wonderlight trademark after the company, Wonderlight Consumer Products Ltd invited bids for the sale of its registered trademark.
Is this real? OMG!!! OMG!!! This happens with multinationals also? as a marketing student what I have to say is that, these big MNCs have to strategy... they have NO HEADS to use so copying is the next best option... guys use ur head ya? Never thought that Levers is THIS stupid!!!
Just saw this while in UK. What a cheap bogus production...... as usual Unilever is attempting to 'lead' by mis-leading the masses..... to hell with wonderlight...clearly some action against this is called for...
Unilever Sri Lanka had purchased the Wonderlight trademark on the 15th of February 2009. Sri Lanka has strong IP laws. In view of the purchase of the trade name "Wonderlight", Unilever is not violating IP laws. The info relating to the purchase can be found from a simple google search. Yet another reminder to ascertain the truth before being judgmental.
I dont get the problem here, they compied it but whats unethical about it?
