So which Bible do you use? How can you trust it, if it has hell wrong then it may have other doctrines wrong, therefore God has failed to preserve His word through the ages, Jesus also died for nothing.
@genesis29v20 I use the King James Translation. The problem is see here is anytime when someone wants to twist God's Word the first thing out of their mouth is we can't trust the translations. This is what the Mormons say to get potential converts to believe and so do the Jehovah's Witnesses.
God is more then able to get an inspired translation to the races.
Don't you see the very first lie to Eve was that God's Word couldn't be trusted, he made her doubt his word, and so you do the same.
@carpentersdaughter2 I also use the KJV with the HS so Im not sure what your talking about, I know its trustworthy along with the manuscripts it comes from unlike the other translations and texts. You have lost me completely with your comment, my challenge was to another poster who does not believe in hell, which his/her bible teaches, if you reject the doctrine of hell then what else will you reject from the bible as being false?
@genesis29v20 You didn't address to whom you were speaking, so I thought it was a comment to me, and from what you said, I thought you were defending the doctrine that teaches there is no eternal seperation from God.
The reason I said that those who want to bring in a false doctrine the first thing they need to do is make the Bible untrustworthy. Just as Satan made God's Word untrustworthy to Eve, he still does the very same thing today. Many are falling into the deception of no hell.
@carpentersdaughter2 I clicked a response to someone called jsm whom does not accept the hell doctrine, my point to this person was that surely if they do not believe this doctrine then how can they believe other doctrines in their bible. If hell is not biblical then the word cna be considered compromised and not useful for teaching at all as you dont know the wheat fromt he chaff. I have full confidence in the word and I believe hell to be a real place. I agree with you in what you say.
@genesis29v20 That's good to hear. I get way too many responding who don't beleive in this doctrine. They parrot what they've heard and totally ignore the words of Jesus. They try to make the Greek word for Eternal to be the same word for ages, and it's just not the case. yet they still parrot what they hear and won't listen or check out what the Greek word for Eternal is.
@MsCread Yes there is confusion, no doubt about that, but here's the bottom line. Is there eternal punishment for those who reject the gospel. The answer is yes, Jesus spoke of it and he spoke of ourter darkness too, which is the same thing..eternal seperation from God, not a torchure chamber.
Also before Jesus "Closed" Abraham's bosom, he emptied it and then closed it now if He can do that you can see how the same can be done to the part of hell (torments) that's still left and indeed that's what scripture says, it will be emptied and they will be judged and then "Hell" itself is thrown into the lake of fire along with anyone whose name is not in the book of life, if there are any. If you accept Jesus before you die you are saved from the trial of fire in Hell.
@MsCread When you say that those who put their faith in Jesus before they die are saved from the trial of fire is not anywhere in scripture. This is an interpolation, either from you or from someone you listened too.
Jesus speaks of eternal punishment for those who reject the gospel. How can you just pass that off and ignore it?
Read Matthew 25 of the judgement of the sheep and goats, where the goats go to eternal punishment....The Greek word for eternal means eternal, forever.
@carpentersdaughter2 if you believe in Christ you don't go to hell, is that not in scripture? Eternal punishment comes after the final judgment, in the lake of fire. It doesn't say that all of them go into the lake of fire.
@MsCread I am not sure where you are coming from. You seem to jump around. The point that you are trying to make says you believe that there will be eternal punishment for those who reject Christ.
So please, can you share exactly where you stand on this issue? Do you beleive in Universal Salvation or not?
@carpentersdaughter2 I believe and read in scripture both the doctrine of hell and that scripture also says all men will be reconcilled to God. I don't deny either of those 2 things because they both clearly exist in scripture.
@MsCread So many take that verse that all men will be reconcilled to God as Universal Salvation. This is not the contextual meaning of this verse. The meaning is God has brought salvation to all men, but not all men will accept this salvation. It would be a contriction of scripture if it speaks of eternal seperation, outer darkness, and then say all men will be saved. There are way too many times that Jesus speaks about those who will go to eternal punishment, darkness.
@ShatteredOnes92 you forget the two words, in Christ. those who belong to Christ will be made alive. For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive. Paul is clearly speaking of those who are in Christ, not all mankind.
@carpentersdaughter2 Greek word in that text is "en"....which means "through", I can give a reference to that. through Christ, the same "all" that die in Adam, are saved. Why does this hurt you?
@ShatteredOnes92 This doesn't hurt me at all. You see there is just a huge problem with Universal Salvation because it confirms that all roads lead to God and it doesn't matter if one puts their faith in Jesus or not..and yet, Jesus said those who try to get into heaven without Him are theives. He spoke on eternal salvation and punishment.
If there is no eternal punishment, then there is no eternal salvation because the same word is used for both..then you have God, who is eternal..
The same Greek Word is used the Eternal God, Jesus Christ...if as you say eternal does't mean without beginning or end, then you are saying that Jesus who is God isn't eternal either.
The Greek Word for Eternal is "aionion" and it is used for the Eternal God, for eternal salvation and for eternal punishment. If you take the literal meaning away then you do away with Jesus as being the eternal God.
@carpentersdaughter2 you grossly misunderstand Universal Salvation. Jesus is the only way according to the theory, but all will be put right in HIS name.
@ShatteredOnes92 Now this seems contrictory, you can't have Jesus be the only way, and then say all men will be saved. This means Muslims who don't believe Jesus is God, who have a totally different god, will be saved too.
Since Jesus speaks of eternal punishment, it's easy to see that there will be some who will go into outer darkness.
I just don't see how the words of Jesus can be ignored. I know this is not a popular teaching but still, Jesus did speak of Eternal punishment.
@ShatteredOnes92 according to the theory! So what Jesus said was just a theory? Evilution is a theory, what Jesus said is certainly not a theory but a truth.
@ShatteredOnes92 Actually the word is "IN" Christ and it denotes a place of position meaning that you are "IN" Christ just as people are born IN Adam, so are those who are born IN Christ. But see this requires some knowledge of the new birth which have FALSELY said that "all" people are born again and you were WRONG!
@carpentersdaughter2 yeah, almost as biggotted and unfounded as you, ignoring all the historical and biblical/exegetical evidence that shows God's great harvest to come (the salvation of all men) because YOU don't want to share YOUR heaven.
listen honey, if you want to talk to me about being loving, look at yourself first - you've done nothing but reply cocky, arrogant, pig-headed responses and not addressed any real questions.
@carpentersdaughter2 why are you playing weird games? you know full well which questions you haven't answered. I asked you about sheol, hades, owlam. owlam does NOT mean "forever", and "sheol" does NOT mean "hell"...these are mistranslations. there are also MULTIPLE submeanings of "aion" as I'm sure you are aware (being so, er, intelligent...). so get answering.
@ShatteredOnes92 I wasn't playing games, I truly did forget. You are not the only person I am talking to, I have four other people that I am commenting too, so I just forgot.
Now it doesn't matter about hell or sheol, that's not the problem. The problem is Jesus said in Matthew 25 that there will be eternal punishment. The Greek word for eternal is
"aionion" which means without beginning and end. There's no where where you will find that it means ages.
the Greek word for punishment is KOLASIS which means to punish. to take away what Jesus teaches us here is taking away a doctrine that's very important.
@ShatteredOnes92 If you want to have a dialogue then please, stop being rude. I haven't accused you of anything so please, have the same respect for me.
the book of life would not need to be opened if all that come out of hell for judgment are all going to the lake of fire would it. Why bother opening the book and doing a judgment on them instead of just throwing the whole lot into the lake of fire? These are people who have been tried and chastised in the place of torment before a final judgment is passed and nowhere does it say that they are all going into the lake of fire.
@MsCread The point is there is no such thing as Universal Salvation. Jesus wouldn't have needed to die for our sins if all are saved and that's the point of this video.
@carpentersdaughter2 the point is that universalists that try to do away with the doctrine of hell are wrong just as much as the people who forget that there is a final judgment on those in hell after hell itself has been thrown into the lake of fire and before anyone whose name was not in the book is thrown in, it just doesn't say that that is all of them does it?
@MsCread I agree with you on this, Revelation says those not found written in the Book of Life will be throne into the Lake of Fire. The question is, will there be anyone with their names written in the Book of Life be there? We don't know that for sure and will just have to wait on that one.
Rev 20:15 doesn't say that all their names (those that came out of hell) were not found in the book of life, it says that those whose names were not found in the book were cast into the lake of fire, that's not ALL of them.
@carpentersdaughter2 well see now that's the thing none of us know the exact nature of the final judgment other than that there will be a judgment on their deeds, works. So we can not assume that some will be saved and some will not, accept that there is a "Window" of sorts there.
Hell and the lake of fire are not the same. Hell is where you go if you don't accept Jesus in this life. You stay there until Judgement Day and then you are judged. How many will come out from hell on judgement day and say they still don't believe? Very few I would imagine, so in that way all men may very well be reconcilled to God, on that day.
@MsCread Show me where men get a second chance after they die? While all men will finally believe, it will be too late by then. Men/Woman who reject the Gospel will go to eternal seperation from God. This is their choice and this is why it is so important to share the gospel because there will be no second chance for anyone.
@carpentersdaughter2 before hell is thrown into the lake of fire those that were in it are judged (Rev 20:13-14). Hell is not eternal separation if those in it are taken out and judged and then hell itself it cast into the lake of fire, the lake of fire is eternal separation, where hell and death are destroyed forever.
@MsCread There is only this lifetime to put our faith in Christ and when we pass from this life to the next, there is no second chance to believe. This is why Jesus said to go our and share the gospel. Those who reject the gospel will be seperated from God for eternity.
NDE witnesses have given us a small hint of what hell is like. There are no hours or days. Punishment is infinite... What about Revelation, "every knee will bow"? Will something change during that event?
U R Correct & am shocked (some) people believe ALL are saved. Hell is mentioned about 65 times in the Bible. Tartarus from which Hell is translated in 2 Peter 2:4 which describes the deeps parts of the dark pit where the fallen angels are reserved for punishment. This is the same place the demons in the swine did not want Jesus to sent them; that is, the Abyss. 2 Peter 2:9 which places the deceased wicked in the same place as the fallen angels-Hell. If ALL are saved, much scripture is a lie.
Dear friend, do you really think you have anything to do with it. you see According to Phil.2.13 its God that works in you to will and do all his good pleasure.People are trying to be their own god and say that they can do whatever but Jesus himself said he could do nothing without the Father why would anyone else think they could be different.Jesus was sent in the the world to save the world and i just don,t believe he will fail to do what the Father sent him to do. Gods blessings on you.
@tiano1965 So when Jesus says in Matthew 25, refering to the sheep and goat judgement he didn't really mean that they would go to everlasting punishment?
Was Jesus lying to us when He said He would send them to everlasting punishment?
The Greek Word Avionios means without beginning and end and this word is used in Matthew 25 when Jesus says Eternal/Avionios...
Seems pretty easy and clear to understand what Jesus has said about this.
Your presentation is simplistic. There are many universalist passages in the Bible, but tradition glosses them over with doctrine. Too much misinformation: most Christian universalists DO believe in hell...most believe that hell is corrective, not eternal. At the end of the day, doubt must be cast on the sanity of a God willing to torture defective humans for all eternity. God is truth and truth produces unity....there is no logical unity in the notion of eternal hell.
@elmerfud551 The problem with Universalist view is that Jesus spoke about eternal security for those who believe in Him. Now if there is no eternal seperation from God as you want to believe, then there is no eternal salvation with God either because the same word is used for both salvation and seperation from Him. God will not force anyone into heaven and what ever choices we make here in time will have eternal conquences. God is loving but he is just and won't force Himself upon anyone.
the parable of the 99 and one lost sheep tells Jesus died for all and will not leave one lost, All people will believe for the bible says every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that he is lord ,those on earth, in heaven and under the earth, sounds like all to me.thanks just trying to impart Gods truth to you ,Blessings
@tiano1965 You are right about one thing Jesus did die for everyone's sins but the fact that you and others seem to not acknowledge is that God will not force anyone to be with Him.
Yes every knee shall bow but you are taking that verse out of contest of what the whole bible teaches. Men will bow and anknowledge that Jesus is God but they won't be saying it as saved souls but as men/women who now don't have any excuses as to why they don't believe.
As I tell others that if there is no eternal seperation from God then there is NO eternal salvation with God because the very same Greek word used for eternal salvation is the very same Greek word used when Jesus spoke of eternal punishment in Matthew 25.
This pick and choose scriptures as one likes is going to come back and bite some in the eternal butt and some will reget that they ever taught this blasphemous lie.
It would behoove all to do a study on the"ages" or eons or as is the greek AION, huge word that has caused alot of controversy. Gods judgements are temporal, I do not adhere to the current teaching of adams sin, the adversary, & mans "free will" or "choice" trumps the atonement of Jesus Christ blood. God has delivered me from the doctrine of demons of "eternal torture chamber" it totally maligns the Character of God, and frankly I think he is sick & tired of it so you WILL be seeing Uni. Sal.
@Lrothtube It would behoove some of you guys to read my responses to others on this video. First off a deep study of this word has been done and it doesn't surprise me when I come to the word eternal in Greek it literally means forever, not a temporary setting or set of time as you say. I see this so many times over from people like yourself that it tells me you and others are parrotting what others have said.
I will say yes, study this word in Greek and find for youself that it means FOREVER
@carpentersdaughter2 Nope you have it wrong, Aion represents TIME therefore it cannot mean something outside of time as eternity. I believe that Jesus Christs' atonement was for all men, as the scriptures say! For Jesus Christ to LOOSE EVEN ONE would be Jesus MISSING THE MARK & and not accomplishing what scripture says he CLEARLY set out to do. Hell, Sheol, are consistently representing the grave or death, Jesus saved ALL MEN from sin & death, sorry if that doesnt mesh with current false doctrin
@Lrothtube LOL....you know I keep going back to see if the meaning of AVION has changed and for some reason it hasn't....it has always meant WITHOUT BEGINNING AND END....you know this means eternal incase you didn't know.
I challenge anyone to look up this word in a Greek Interlinear. Yes, Jesus atonement was for all men but as I have said not all men will accept Christ's atonement and God will not force Himself upon anyone at anytime.
@carpentersdaughter2 if aion means eternity then why does it have a plural form? you seriously don't know your Greek, old lady. REPENT EVIL OLD WOMAN! YOU WICKED WITCH!
@ShatteredOnes92 You know anyone can go to the Greek Interlinear and see what the Greek word for Eternity is and what it means. I will say it again the word for Eternity is Avionios which means without beginning and end....go check this out for your self. and if there is no eternal punishment as Jesus says there is, then there's no eternal life with God because the same Greek word for eternal is used in both cases. So you are trying to say there is no eternal hell, well then then...continued
there is no eternal salvation with God either. You can't throw one away without having to throw the other one away. So I guess Jesus came and died and since there is no eternal punishment, then there is no eternal salvation with God, and so I guess he wasted his time dying on the cross and going through all that suffering for nothing.
not only in this age (aion) but also in that which is to come.
Notice that this present aion (age) will be followed by the next aion (age) which is to come. There are more verses I can post if you like? Aion does have different meanings, AND the mistranslations of sheol/hades/gehenna/owlam/tartarus. this bronze-age doctrine is VERY flawed.
@ShatteredOnes92 Yes, end of the age, this Greek word Aion has nothing to do with the word for eternity..."aionion" which means without beginning and end...forever.
So trying to use the Greek word Aion for the Greek Word "aionion" for eternity is wrong.
If there is no eternal punishment as Jesus speaks of then there is no eternal salvation because the same Greek Word "aionion" is used for both. When Paul speaks of Jesus being the eternal God, it is the same Greek work.
so if there is no eternal punishment, then there is no eternal salvation and Jesus isn't the eternal God. The same Greek word used for all three times. God would not be eternal.
The problem with many today is they want to cherry pick what they want to believe and spit out what they don't like. Stop parroting what you hear because it has no backbone to it and it is a heresy and takes the very words of Jesus away when He speaks of eternal ("aionion") punishment. Matthew 25,
The "flesh" is "destroyed," but the person is not. After all, Jesus said He came "to DESTROY the WORKS of the DEVIL." (1 John 3:8)
We are the Works of Christ. He created us. We are NOT the works of the devil. Only the SIN in our lives is the work of the devil. It is the SIN ONLY that is permanently destroyed. Then we become "A NEW creature in Christ.
@jamesstenbeck1977 You should study what Jesus teaches in Matthew 25 where He speaks about the the judgement of the sheep and goats. This happens right after He returns to this earth. Now Jesus tells us that some will go on to eternal salvation while the goats go to eternal punishment. Now the same greek word for eternal is used for both, so if there is no eternal punishment then there is no eternal salvation with God either.
All you are doing is parrotting the same error as others.
...In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth (Genesis 1:1). He told Adam and Eve they would die if they ate of the tree of knowledge of good and evil they would die (Genesis 2:17). Why not tell them they would have eternal damnation? Where did hell/eternal punishment come from? Not God, according to the Bible.
@cbenji07 How do you know God didn't tell them this? I mean not everything was recorded but the Old Testament does speak of eternal punishment/death,.
@jvsm1971 They did die, an animal was killed to cover them. Why would they go to hell? If the lost books of eden can be believed, see gorilla999 on his vid about this, you see a repentant adam repenting continually his sin and pointers from YHWH to a coming messiah. If I recieve the mark or blaspheme the Holy Spirit what happens to me according to your bible? Thank you for your reply in advance,
@ The animal was killed to cover their shame &they eventually died physically tho they died spiritually when they ate of the fruit.I don't know anything of the books of eden. If you receive the mark you will be tormented (tested) day &night (I nver knew day & night was in hell?) forever (for an age during time) in the PRESENCE of the Lamb & Holy Angels(This is supposedly hell?).If you blaspheme the HS you will not be forgiven in THIS age or the AGE to come.(There are countless "AGES " to come)
The penalty for sin is death. (Romans 6:23) You might want to brush up on the Bible in it's original language. The modern versions are mistranslated. If there is eternal damnation then isn't that double jeopardy? Then that is not just (2 Thessalonians 1:6). There is no mention of hell in the Old Testament...
@cbenji07 So I guess God isn't capable of inspiring men to translate His Word to English. This is basically what you are saying and I think it's a bunch of bunk.
So many try to discredit the Bible these days and you seem to follow suit with them.
@carpentersdaughter2 So you think God inspired the translators? Of course you don't. You probably think he just inspired the KJV translators. But the KJV was made in 1611, and its translators claimed they were fallible, and that their version should not be the final translation. You also misrepresent the position. We don't say all will be saved whether or not they believe. All are saved through Jesus, and all will repent and confess him. "Every knee will bow."
@nrolett All you do is parrot the teachings of others. Yes every knee will bow but they won't be saying it from the side of salvation. the context of scripture is that sin seperates us from God. Salvation is a gift but one must take the gift in order to have it and for those who have rejected the Gospel will get exactly what they wanted, to be seperated from God for eternity.
Study Matthew 25 where Jesus speaks of the sheep and the goat judgement. Some will go to eternal...
...salvation while the goats will go to eternal punishment. The same Greek word for eternal is used for both salvation and punishment, so if there is no eternal punishment then there will be no eternal salvation with God either.
Aionios is the Greek word for eternal which means without beginning and end.
If you love God's truth then you will do yourself and others a great favor by teaching the truth. Eternal means just that, eternal, everlasting, without end.
If a majority of the world is going to hell, how is Jesus victorious? Sounds like a victory for Satan. How can I have peace in Christ if my dead relatives are burning in hell right now? What if there is no hell?
I am on the fence about this issue and looking for the truth about it. It is certainly not my intent to pick a fight or defend Universalism.
@urbanrecon The best way to be off that fence is by studying God's Word, especially the gospels and the letters from Paul to the different churches. Jesus plainly speaks of eternal punishment. The one thing to remember is Jesus died who came down in the form as a human being to take on our sins and our punishement for us, but there is a condition for salvation. we must put our faith in Jesus and who who said He is and beleive what He's done for us. God will never froce us to believe in Him.
@carpentersdaughter2 I am studying the Bible. We probably agree on alot. I agree about a possible condition for salvation and believing on Jesus. But I don't see how eternal damnation is real... The greek word for forever or eternal in the Bible is usually some form of aion which from my study means an age or period, not eternity. So maybe the bible means believe what Jesus did on the cross (get people into heaven), not believe in order to get into heaven?
@urbanrecon I suggest you study Matthew 25 and study it in the Greek Interlinear so you will see and understand that eternal means eternal. God will not force Himself upon anyone especially in eternity. If one rejects Jesus while on this earth God is going to respect their choices and allow them to be where they wanted to be and this is seperated from God for all eternity.
You make good points. But how do we know eternal damnation exists in the first place? Where does this idea of eternal hell come from? What if the lake of fire in scripture is temporary?
@urbanrecon The gospels and the book of Revelation is very clear on eternal punishment. Well, if the Lake of Fire was a temporary place as so many try and teach, then it would say so but it doesn't. the word eternal is always used for punishement, just as it is used for eternal salvation. The same greek word for eternal is the same word and is used for punishment and for salvation. So if there is no eternal punishement, then there is no eternal salvation either.
@carpentersdaughter2 You're in serious error. The Greek word is AIONIOS, which is the adjective form of AION. Aion means "an age." In the many English Bibles, including KJV it is translated variously as WORLD, AGE, FOREVER, GENERATION. But it simply means "age." They translated it as eternity when it suited their predermined theology. Yes it is applied to "life." It's the life in the coming age. It is not referring to duration at all. It's about "when" not "how long."
@nrolett Again this is so tiring. All anyone has to do is go to the Greek and see what Aionios means. I dare anyone to look it up and to stop parroting what they hear. The Greek word Aionios means "without beginning or end"
Try it you might learn the true meaning of this word. Also I suggest you study Matthew 25 where Jesus speaks of the sheep and goats judgement that will happen right after He returns. The same Greek Word Aionios is used for both eternal life and eternal punishment.
I can't believe that so many are just accepting and then parroting what others have taught on this and it's really really sad to see because it just shows that you and others are not willing to study this on your own. YOu just take others opinions and take them as truth.
Aionios actually does mean without beginning and end..so with that,,, there are many will not put their faith in Jesus because they believed your blasphemous lies that everyone will be saved.
There is no truth to this Universalism gospel. It presupposes that man does not have free will, and cannot choose to follow Christ. I think of that Scripture in Revelation where Jesus says He is standing at the door and is knocking, and if anyone responds, He will enter and sup with that person and he with Christ. Christ knocks at the door of our hearts, but it is up to us to respond. You can choose to respond, or choose to ignore. There is a choice to be made. We are not robots.
@briank06261973 Yes the common demonator here is free will and the conquences of our decisions. Calvinism and Universalism have this common demonator between them.
@BeauG92 God didn't create sin, it was a choice lucifer chose to rebel and sinned. Adam & Eve-if you even believe in original sin, were tricked, but ultimately chose to disobey God's simple command. When we sin - we make choices in life b/c God gave man sovereignty to decide for ourselves whether we choose to obey his laws or not, incldg the consequences good or bad. He gave man six-days or 6000 yrs to decide whether he can live w/o God or not; then He comes back and cleans the house.
I'm just shooting the breeze with you on stuff that Im thinking about and have come to believe is the truth and want to share them with you. I love your vids Linda and you are my sister in Christ Jesus, whether we see eye-to-eye or not. I hope you have a precious time with all your loved ones celebrating and acknowledging The Saviour of the world and His birth (whenever it was). Jessica.
@jvsm1971 I understand that you want to share what you believe is the truth. When I was a Mormon I wanted to share with others what I thought was truth, so I understand how you feel. Ever since I left the Mormon church almost forty years ago, I have been doing Christian Apologetics and have studied all religions, so called Christian cults and aberranth teachings such as Universalism.
If Universalism is truth, then so is Islam, Buddhaism, and Nazism and communism because in Universalims...
..is true then all roads lead to God, which then makes God out to be sadistic and schyphronic. God wouldn't have punished Pharoah, or the world in Noah's day, or Sodom and Gomorrah. God showed us that sin has conquences and if we don't believe and take the time to repent and put our faith in Jesus, that our sins are still upon us. God doesn't force salvation upon anyone and universalism forces salvation on those who hate God.
@ca I never said, nor do I believe "all roads lead to God".ONLY JESUS CHRIST can save any of us.Have u examined colossians 1 14-20&UNDERLINED "all things" in every single verse?Well,THAT is what Im talking about&it's very clear about what was created, by who is was created, for who it was created, all things in HEAVEN &all things in EARTH &all things UNDER the earth, and ALL to be reconciled (through his PEACE) UNTO JESUS CHRIST.All things and what the means is fully revealed in these verses.
@jvsm1971 If all men are saved as you believe then it doesn't really matter what god you believe in because in the end, all men are saved, which means that any road can lead to God, and salvation. You really can't have it both ways, Jesus said anyone trying to get to heaven without him is a theif and will be throne into the lake of fire. That's not going to heaven.
We have free will to choose what we want and we will have the conquences of our choices. That's why the Bible warns us to believe
@cI didn't say all men ARE saved.I believe all men WILL BE saved. There was a point in my life when I was NOT SAVED &then the day came when God the Father drew me through Jesus Christ His Son&SAVED me.There is a before &after for each precious human being that has ever lived.1Cor15:22 For in Adam ALL DIE so in Christ shall ALL be made alive.Every knee will bow & every tongue confess that Jesus christ is LORD,to the GLORY OF THE FATHER. It cannot be GLORY to our Father if it's a FORCED confession
@jvsm1971 It doesn't really matter because in the end you beleive all will be saved. Yes, every knee wil bow but not every knee will acknowledge Jesus as their Lord. Believe it or not, even though you are not a Mormon, this is a Mormon belief, that all men will eventually be saved. Those that won't be saved according to them is Satan and the demons. You are holding on to a doctrine that is false.
Is it that you can't cope with a loving God who has an eternal seperation from Him?
@c GODS love is neverending and His Gospel and power to save all that is lost is UNlimited. Im not the one who is limiting Jesus Christ's redemptive power, will, plan. His will is to save all, His plan is to save all, His purpose is to save all - and I believe it. Jesus Christ is that Powerful, Loving, Forgiving over all His creation. If even one person is separated from Him for a never ending period of time, then Jesus Christ is NOT the Saviour of the whole world. He failed.
God says "He wants to, can, and will". Im no calvanist... I repented of all doctrines / teachings of men some time ago and only have ONE teacher, Jesus Christ who IS Lord of ALL and IN ALL.
@jvsm1971 Again please take time to study God's Sovereign Will and His Permissive Will. You will see how and why some will not be saved and understand it better.
It sounds like you can't accept God if he allows those who reject Him to be seperated from Him. It's not what we like but what God's Word says about those who reject Christ. It only during our lifetime can we accept or reject this truth and when we reject it, the conquences are seperation from God for all eternity.
@jvsm1971 So you say God is loving, which I believe too, but according to your belief a man like Christopher Hichinns, who died two weeks ago will be saved. This man heard the gospel, reject it, blasphemed Jesus, the Holy Spirit and the Father, and you believe that God will save this man. So God is going to force Christopher Hichinns against His will to be with God? Forcing someone to be with Him is not loving at all. this is why I say Universalism and Calvinism doesn't allow for free will.
@carpentersdaughter2 This is what I believe, The power of His Gospel never ever ever ends. 1 Cor 15:19 And if we have HOPE in Christ only in THIS LIFE, we are the most MISERABLE people in the world. The elect now, the rest in the ages to come. Yes, truly, Jesus Christ will never stop until every last one who is lost, is found and saved. This is GOOD GOOD NEWS.
@ca The bible teaches us we are a SLAVE to sin. That is NOT FREE WILL. It's the Son who sets us FREE. Free from what? Bondage. Bondage, is not FREE WILL. We are in bondage to sin and death and we need to be FREED. & when we are free we are FREE INDEED. Until then, our minds, our hearts, are so corrupted, so ill, so sick we dont even know what truth is.How can we believe in something we are unable to understand?Jesus is the only one who saves,we cannot save ourselves - that is works.
@jvsm1971 Now you are holding on to some Calvinist doctrines which is false too. God calls us to repent, this is clear throughout the Old and New Testament. Yes, we are slave to sin, which means we will sin over doing God's will but the Holy Spirit reveals to us Jesus Christ, which He is the light, and reveals to us our own sins and allows us to see that Jesus died for our sins. we have the free will to choose if we will accept this truth or reject it. If we reject it we die in our sins.
Linda, Im not a mormon, I was saved by Jesus Christ the only begotten Son of the Father who is GOD a long time ago,&believed as u did for a long time until 4 months ago when out of the blue the FULL Gospel was revealed. No man can or will be saved but by Jesus Christ &through Jesus Christ, what Im saying is this,if man is ressurected on judgement day &remains under the POWER of inherited sin nature then Jesus Christ is NOT ALL POWERFUL &Adams fall is more powerful than Jesus work on cross.
@jvsm1971 Oh I wasn't saying you were a Mormon, I was making the point that no matter what we believe we believe it to be truth, so we want to share that truth with others. This doesn't mean that we have truth just because we think we have it. As I was Mormon, I thought that I had truth at that time.
you are confusing God's Sovereign Will verses His Permissive Will, and this is where you go so wrong.
@c Oh, sorry, got mixed up re the Mormon thing. Well, I guess your comment is applicable to every single human being and not just me. It's the Lord, His Spirit that leads us for He is our Shepherd. I have all faith in Him that even if im on the wrong path, He is loving and powerful enough to make sure Im set on the right path again, my part is to earnestly seek Him in all things and continue to ask for His understanding (NOT MENS)to be given to me about His Book, afterall,He did write it.
@c A buddist must be born again by the atoning blood of Jesus Christ&His Spirit.A Nazi must repent and be born again by the Holy Spirit of God and the blood of Jesus Christ. All of us WERE at some point some kind of wretched sinner - some closer to the nature of Hitler, some screwed up in the depths of newage, but the Body today has been SAVED by His BlOOD and renewed by HIS SPIRIT.And this will happen to ALL eventually, the elect now, the rest in the ages to come.Jesus Christ is the ONLY WAY.
@jvsm1971 I wish you could see how you contridict yourself. You try to have this both ways and you can't. It really doesn't matter if it's only through Jesus Christ if all men are saved in the end. This is what you can't see.
Again, you really must learn about God's Sovereign Will and God's Permissive will and then you will see that those who reject Christ will not go to be with God at the end.
eternal destruction is being totally seperated from God for all eternity.
Eternal destruction - no such thing. Rev 21 tells us all death pain suffering is finished and is no more, so whatever "Eternal destruction" means in our heads, it is NOT neverending - there is an end.
When I was born physically, that was my first birth. When I was bornagain, that was my birth spiritually(2nd birth). When I die physically, this is my first death, when I die to the flesh this is my second death. When the unsaved are resurrected into IMmortal bodies, they'll SEE Jesus &BELIEVE but will have the Adam nature still in them which ALL of us MUST DIE TO.This is the 2nd DEATH.1Cor3:15If any man's work shall be BURNED, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be SAVED; yet so as by FIRE.
Just thinking again, Jesus Christ destroyed the POWER of sin and death for ALL right? So that means sin and death ETERNALLY is POWERLESS over ALL right? If sin and death has POWER in anyone for all eternity, then Jesus Christ did NOT destroy the POWER of sin and death and made Adams fall more POWERFULL than the death & resurrection of Jesus Christ over ALL SIN?1Tim4:10He is the saviour of ALL MEN especially those who believe whether we believe it (know it)OR NOT.
@jvsm1971 Jesus died for all sins, you are correct in that, but where you go wrong is believing that every one will be in heaven when the Bible has directly shown us that those who haven't put their faith in Christ will die in their sins. Jesus said that if one did not believe that he was the " I AM" that they would die in their sins...now if Jesus pinned that down to just that, then we must believe everything else God says about those who reject Christ.
Putting our faith in Jesus for salvation is so important for salvation because John says in John 3:18 that those who don't believe are condemned already.
You have to look at it this way, if there is no eternal destruction, then there is no eternal salvation because the same word in Greek for Eternal are exactly the same. there isn'[t two different Greek words for eternal but only one word."aionion" which means without end.
@jvsm1971 Christ died for the sins of the world. His resurrection proved that he has power over death and hell, thus he conquered death and the grave. However, its up to each individual to trust in his completed work of salvation. God gave each person their own sovereignty to choose and decide one's own fate, whether to trust in Christ or not, but it doesn't disqualify God's sovereignty b/c in the end his judgment will triumph over every human subject whether they believe or not.
@jvsm1971, Universal-salvation which is a post-christian and modern re-adaptation of humanism (imho), theoretically undermines God's theological authority by proclaiming blanket amnesty which robs individuals of their sovereignty, personal choices and decisions incldg. accountability and moral responsibility. Paul, Peter, John, Hebrews all made refs about repentance and moral accountability alluding to the judgment to come. Peace.
@porkeebear Universal RECONCILIATION is what Im talking about and it's written in full in Colossians 1 14-20. That is what I preach to everyone, and that is the true Gospel. Jesus Christ WILL reconcile ALL THINGS unto Him. ALL THINGS is ALL THINGS and even the angelic beings are mentioned.Jesus said "And I, when Iam lifted from the earth I shall draw ALL MEN unto Me".John12:32 I believe HE WILL draw ALL MEN unto Him.Thanks for comment.
@jvsm1971 I hear you; Linda's video is about Univ-Salvation. But Reconciliation does not mean Christ will make peace with every individual, even enemies of God. Colossians was meant as a letter disputing heresies that Christ wasn't God or Creator, but its secondary role was God's appeal to reconcile our estrangement that he didn't love us b/c we thought we were still under judgment. Thus Paul wrote it to early Christians to assuage All those who wanted to believe God's mercy and goodness.
@porkeebear The fall of Adam is not more powerful than the redemptive work of Jesus Christ. Sin and death cannot exist forever in His Kingdom because Jesus Christ has destroyed the POWER of sin and death over ALL MANKIND. It is clear in Colossians that through His cross and His PEACE He will reconcile all things. It is written that through PEACE He will reconcile ALL THINGS.
@jvsm1971 I believe we're in agreement that the fall of Adam is not more powerful than the resurrection and redemptive work. What I thought you were implying is that all men are saved "regardless" of whether or not they believed in Christ.
@porkeebear Only through Jesus Christ can one be saved. There is no other way but through Him. He is the Way the Truth and the LIFE, no man comes to the Father but by Him. : )
Thank you for sharing your beliefs with me, they have encouraged me. God bless you always.
@jvsm1971 Amen, and may God continue to bless you with your ministry on YT. It is a delight to meet the body of Christ where ever they are. Much love and aloha, YBIC. I'll have to check out your YT page. Mahalo.
Hi Linda :) just some food for thought:Calvanism says God can but wont.Armeniaism says God wants to but cant. God says He wants to, can and WILL. A universal reconciliation believer in Jesus Christ believes that God wants to save all, can save all and will save all. Isn't that the chief desire of God's heart? to save all? Can we dare ask Him? Is it wrong to ask our Father to continue His salvation plan until ALL are saved?Would it pleaase the Father for us to pray like this?I believe so.
God Wills or Desires that All Men be Saved(1Tim.4:10 & 1Tim.2:3-6) and Wills that NONE perish(2Peter.3:9). Since God is 100% Total Sovereignty, it would be blasphemous to suggest His Will(Matt. 6:9) won't come to pass. With that said, just because ALL Humans will EVENTUALLY be Saved doesn't mean they aren't accountable & Chastised for their Sins, it just that the Punishment isn't endless. In regards to Punishment, Jesus used the Greek Word Kolasin which means " to Prune or Correct."
@oceangrove129 There is God's soverign will and God's permissive will and you get the two mixed up. God does not will that a child be raped and murdered, so does that mean that God's Will can be overridden? No, God doesn't desire that a child be raped and murdered.
Because we are His creation with the ability to make choices, He permits mankind to make choices even if they are in disobedience to His desire.
in 1 Timothy 2:4 we see that God desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth,” yet we know that God’s sovereign will is that “no one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him; and I will raise him up at the last day” (John 6:44).
When we learn the difference between God's Sovereign Will and God's Permissive Will, we will understand that there is eternal seperation from God by those who reject Christ.
@ How can man make SPIRITUAL choices about salvation when man has been blinded to the truth &when we have been born into sin &we are SLAVES to sin? Slaves have no choices or rights &certainly no free will.We have will to go our own way &we pay the consequences of that but ultimately God will have His way with us, "THY WILL BE DONE,ON EARTH AS IT IS IN HEAVEN",His WILL is to SAVE ALL MEN. Why bother praying His will be done if it wont be.That mans "will" is more powerful than God'sWill?
@BeauG92 If you repeated the words of an author, does that make you an author? No, and just because I repeat what God's word says, doesn't mean I am God. It only means I study His Word and take them seriously.
Your old strawman arguements are so old and just so stupid. I can't believe anyone still parrots them.Do you honestly think that that you can cause the downfall with these old useless and answered questions?
Forget about intelligence because it's apparent you have.
1.God is Love and will eventually save everyone! (flat out not true)
2.God is a God of justice & Mercy however it is up to him to choose who will burn in Hell forever and who will live with him forever. (flat out not true)
3.God is Love but the wages of sin is death. Christ died for you! Receive him and become a son of God and live forever instead of die forever!
Linda, don't waste your time with those who will not take the Bible at it's word. They will argue with you util the very end to support their stance. Hell, death and all who don't accept the Jesus of the bible and it's truth, will be cast into the (Lake of fire) for all eternity, like it or not. The Bible makes clear, that in the end days it would be like the days of Noah. Did they believe the truth? No - did they escape what was coming? No. So will it be in our day.
@FormVoltron Thank you for your words of encouragment. For the last several weeks, I've been bombarded by these Universalist. It appears they just throw out what they don't like, take other scriptures and twist them to a meaning that was not intended to be taken that way.
Their very soul could be in jeoparidy if they continue to teach this lie from the pit. This teaching keeps unbelievers from putting their faith in Christ. And why? All because these heretics teach...
that all menwomen will be saved, regardless if they rejected Christ or not. Like I said, this is a lie from the pitts of hell, tickling the ears of those who refuse to take time and study God's Word on this topic. God is a God of Justice and those who think they can play deadly life games and still go to heaven is really sad to see it play out.
@carpentersdaughter2 I refuse to (argue) "Truth" with anyone who refuses the clear and sound teachings of scripture. It's one thing to reasonably discuss with someone an honest misunderstanding, but a pharisee who (purposely) will not listen to the Lord's Word, I must leave alone. There are to many others - who honestly don't know God's Word, to waste on those who are workers of darkness and want, not the (Truth.) You will have to make the call on which you are dealing with. (My SIC.)
Yes...it's consistently translated as forever, eternal, life, world, age...clearly these all mean endless time lol. Yes, any nincompoop can do their research and learn that this word has been improperly translated, much like olam, Sheol, hades, Gehenna, Tartarus, etc.
@ShirleyCoralineJones You know, there's a time and a season for everything. Your season here is done. By your comments posted here there is no interest in learning God's Truth, but only to have your ears tickled.
I am going to end this conversation with you as it will just go on and on and on, and nothing fruitful will come from it.
@carpentersdaughter2 I was commenting to the user "ShirleyCoralineJones". I have asked her repeated questions on other videos and she won't answer me.
@ShirleyCoralineJones Seems like I go through this so much with so many on this word. All the old manuscripts that we have is the same. The Greek word does mean eternal, so we don't have worry about it not being so. The only problem with this is, there are folks out there, like yourself saying that it is an inconsistent translated word. Any nincompoop can go check it out and see what the word means and see that all the old manuscripts where we get our translations from is consistent.
@ShirleyCoralineJones There you go spouting off Calvist teachings. Study Romans 8 and you will see that God chooses based on His foreknowledge of who'g going to respond and who isn;t.
Like I said earlier, Universalism and Calvinism doesn't allow for free will in this heretical doctrine.
If any of you are dead set on believing that an all loving and merciful God will burn people in literal fire for all eternity and never show pity well what I have to say will only waste your time since you are dead set on believing this pagan heresy. For those of you with a slightly open mind go ahead and look up the word hell in the dictionary. Ignore the standard definitions for hell since webster is not a biblical scholar. look up the etomology of the word hell. please read continuation
@johnanderson777777 I see the problem that physical burning of the body is what's been taught through the centuries. Jesus gave us a perfect example of what happens after the non-beleiver dies. While his body is not physically being burned, the man is in torment. His biggest problem seems to be that he is regretful for not believing in God.
It is shown that while this man is in some kind of torment, he wants someone to go to his brothers to tel them the truth.
But Jesus says that since he didn't listen then his brothers wouldn't listen either. What does this parable teach us? It teaches us that when a person dies and dies without God, that their regret is so bad that they are tormented with knowing that had a chance to avoid that place but never listened.
No matter what, the point is, we must put our faith in Jesus and believe who He said He is. God will nor force anyone to have their sins forgiven...
So which Bible do you use? How can you trust it, if it has hell wrong then it may have other doctrines wrong, therefore God has failed to preserve His word through the ages, Jesus also died for nothing.
genesis29v20 6 days ago
@genesis29v20 I use the King James Translation. The problem is see here is anytime when someone wants to twist God's Word the first thing out of their mouth is we can't trust the translations. This is what the Mormons say to get potential converts to believe and so do the Jehovah's Witnesses.
God is more then able to get an inspired translation to the races.
Don't you see the very first lie to Eve was that God's Word couldn't be trusted, he made her doubt his word, and so you do the same.
carpentersdaughter2 6 days ago
@carpentersdaughter2 I also use the KJV with the HS so Im not sure what your talking about, I know its trustworthy along with the manuscripts it comes from unlike the other translations and texts. You have lost me completely with your comment, my challenge was to another poster who does not believe in hell, which his/her bible teaches, if you reject the doctrine of hell then what else will you reject from the bible as being false?
genesis29v20 5 days ago
@genesis29v20 You didn't address to whom you were speaking, so I thought it was a comment to me, and from what you said, I thought you were defending the doctrine that teaches there is no eternal seperation from God.
The reason I said that those who want to bring in a false doctrine the first thing they need to do is make the Bible untrustworthy. Just as Satan made God's Word untrustworthy to Eve, he still does the very same thing today. Many are falling into the deception of no hell.
carpentersdaughter2 5 days ago
@carpentersdaughter2 I clicked a response to someone called jsm whom does not accept the hell doctrine, my point to this person was that surely if they do not believe this doctrine then how can they believe other doctrines in their bible. If hell is not biblical then the word cna be considered compromised and not useful for teaching at all as you dont know the wheat fromt he chaff. I have full confidence in the word and I believe hell to be a real place. I agree with you in what you say.
genesis29v20 5 days ago
@genesis29v20 That's good to hear. I get way too many responding who don't beleive in this doctrine. They parrot what they've heard and totally ignore the words of Jesus. They try to make the Greek word for Eternal to be the same word for ages, and it's just not the case. yet they still parrot what they hear and won't listen or check out what the Greek word for Eternal is.
Glad to see another one stand for God's Truth.
God bless,
Linda
carpentersdaughter2 5 days ago
@genesis29v20 the bible doesn't have hell wrong, people confuse hell with the lake of fire.
MsCread 6 days ago
@MsCread Yes there is confusion, no doubt about that, but here's the bottom line. Is there eternal punishment for those who reject the gospel. The answer is yes, Jesus spoke of it and he spoke of ourter darkness too, which is the same thing..eternal seperation from God, not a torchure chamber.
carpentersdaughter2 6 days ago
Also before Jesus "Closed" Abraham's bosom, he emptied it and then closed it now if He can do that you can see how the same can be done to the part of hell (torments) that's still left and indeed that's what scripture says, it will be emptied and they will be judged and then "Hell" itself is thrown into the lake of fire along with anyone whose name is not in the book of life, if there are any. If you accept Jesus before you die you are saved from the trial of fire in Hell.
MsCread 1 week ago
@MsCread When you say that those who put their faith in Jesus before they die are saved from the trial of fire is not anywhere in scripture. This is an interpolation, either from you or from someone you listened too.
Jesus speaks of eternal punishment for those who reject the gospel. How can you just pass that off and ignore it?
Read Matthew 25 of the judgement of the sheep and goats, where the goats go to eternal punishment....The Greek word for eternal means eternal, forever.
carpentersdaughter2 6 days ago
@carpentersdaughter2 if you believe in Christ you don't go to hell, is that not in scripture? Eternal punishment comes after the final judgment, in the lake of fire. It doesn't say that all of them go into the lake of fire.
MsCread 6 days ago
@MsCread I am not sure where you are coming from. You seem to jump around. The point that you are trying to make says you believe that there will be eternal punishment for those who reject Christ.
So please, can you share exactly where you stand on this issue? Do you beleive in Universal Salvation or not?
carpentersdaughter2 6 days ago
@carpentersdaughter2 I believe and read in scripture both the doctrine of hell and that scripture also says all men will be reconcilled to God. I don't deny either of those 2 things because they both clearly exist in scripture.
MsCread 6 days ago
@MsCread So many take that verse that all men will be reconcilled to God as Universal Salvation. This is not the contextual meaning of this verse. The meaning is God has brought salvation to all men, but not all men will accept this salvation. It would be a contriction of scripture if it speaks of eternal seperation, outer darkness, and then say all men will be saved. There are way too many times that Jesus speaks about those who will go to eternal punishment, darkness.
carpentersdaughter2 6 days ago
@carpentersdaughter2 the same "all" that die in Adam, are the same "all" made alive THROUGH CHRIST (1 Corinthians 15:22).
ShatteredOnes92 6 days ago
@ShatteredOnes92 you forget the two words, in Christ. those who belong to Christ will be made alive. For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive. Paul is clearly speaking of those who are in Christ, not all mankind.
carpentersdaughter2 6 days ago
@carpentersdaughter2 Greek word in that text is "en"....which means "through", I can give a reference to that. through Christ, the same "all" that die in Adam, are saved. Why does this hurt you?
ShatteredOnes92 6 days ago
@ShatteredOnes92 This doesn't hurt me at all. You see there is just a huge problem with Universal Salvation because it confirms that all roads lead to God and it doesn't matter if one puts their faith in Jesus or not..and yet, Jesus said those who try to get into heaven without Him are theives. He spoke on eternal salvation and punishment.
If there is no eternal punishment, then there is no eternal salvation because the same word is used for both..then you have God, who is eternal..
cont
carpentersdaughter2 5 days ago
-2-
The same Greek Word is used the Eternal God, Jesus Christ...if as you say eternal does't mean without beginning or end, then you are saying that Jesus who is God isn't eternal either.
The Greek Word for Eternal is "aionion" and it is used for the Eternal God, for eternal salvation and for eternal punishment. If you take the literal meaning away then you do away with Jesus as being the eternal God.
carpentersdaughter2 5 days ago
@carpentersdaughter2 you grossly misunderstand Universal Salvation. Jesus is the only way according to the theory, but all will be put right in HIS name.
ShatteredOnes92 5 days ago
@ShatteredOnes92 Now this seems contrictory, you can't have Jesus be the only way, and then say all men will be saved. This means Muslims who don't believe Jesus is God, who have a totally different god, will be saved too.
Since Jesus speaks of eternal punishment, it's easy to see that there will be some who will go into outer darkness.
I just don't see how the words of Jesus can be ignored. I know this is not a popular teaching but still, Jesus did speak of Eternal punishment.
carpentersdaughter2 5 days ago
@ShatteredOnes92 according to the theory! So what Jesus said was just a theory? Evilution is a theory, what Jesus said is certainly not a theory but a truth.
genesis29v20 5 days ago

ShatteredOnes92 6 days ago
@ShatteredOnes92 Oh, which question did I not answer?
carpentersdaughter2 6 days ago
@carpentersdaughter2 why are you playing weird games? you know full well which questions you haven't answered. I asked you about sheol, hades, owlam. owlam does NOT mean "forever", and "sheol" does NOT mean "hell"...these are mistranslations. there are also MULTIPLE submeanings of "aion" as I'm sure you are aware (being so, er, intelligent...). so get answering.
ShatteredOnes92 6 days ago
@ShatteredOnes92 I wasn't playing games, I truly did forget. You are not the only person I am talking to, I have four other people that I am commenting too, so I just forgot.
Now it doesn't matter about hell or sheol, that's not the problem. The problem is Jesus said in Matthew 25 that there will be eternal punishment. The Greek word for eternal is
"aionion" which means without beginning and end. There's no where where you will find that it means ages.

the Greek word for punishment is KOLASIS which means to punish. to take away what Jesus teaches us here is taking away a doctrine that's very important.

the book of life would not need to be opened if all that come out of hell for judgment are all going to the lake of fire would it. Why bother opening the book and doing a judgment on them instead of just throwing the whole lot into the lake of fire? These are people who have been tried and chastised in the place of torment before a final judgment is passed and nowhere does it say that they are all going into the lake of fire.
MsCread 1 week ago
@MsCread The point is there is no such thing as Universal Salvation. Jesus wouldn't have needed to die for our sins if all are saved and that's the point of this video.
carpentersdaughter2 6 days ago
@carpentersdaughter2 the point is that universalists that try to do away with the doctrine of hell are wrong just as much as the people who forget that there is a final judgment on those in hell after hell itself has been thrown into the lake of fire and before anyone whose name was not in the book is thrown in, it just doesn't say that that is all of them does it?
MsCread 6 days ago
@MsCread I agree with you on this, Revelation says those not found written in the Book of Life will be throne into the Lake of Fire. The question is, will there be anyone with their names written in the Book of Life be there? We don't know that for sure and will just have to wait on that one.
carpentersdaughter2 6 days ago
@carpentersdaughter2 agreed, we don't know for sure.
MsCread 6 days ago
Rev 20:15 doesn't say that all their names (those that came out of hell) were not found in the book of life, it says that those whose names were not found in the book were cast into the lake of fire, that's not ALL of them.
MsCread 1 week ago
@MsCread I agree, I do believe there will be a few there who's names are written in the book of life, but surely not everyone is saved.
carpentersdaughter2 6 days ago
@carpentersdaughter2 well see now that's the thing none of us know the exact nature of the final judgment other than that there will be a judgment on their deeds, works. So we can not assume that some will be saved and some will not, accept that there is a "Window" of sorts there.
MsCread 6 days ago
Hell and the lake of fire are not the same. Hell is where you go if you don't accept Jesus in this life. You stay there until Judgement Day and then you are judged. How many will come out from hell on judgement day and say they still don't believe? Very few I would imagine, so in that way all men may very well be reconcilled to God, on that day.
MsCread 1 week ago
@MsCread Show me where men get a second chance after they die? While all men will finally believe, it will be too late by then. Men/Woman who reject the Gospel will go to eternal seperation from God. This is their choice and this is why it is so important to share the gospel because there will be no second chance for anyone.
carpentersdaughter2 1 week ago
@carpentersdaughter2 before hell is thrown into the lake of fire those that were in it are judged (Rev 20:13-14). Hell is not eternal separation if those in it are taken out and judged and then hell itself it cast into the lake of fire, the lake of fire is eternal separation, where hell and death are destroyed forever.
MsCread 1 week ago
@MsCread So are you saying that God kills the spirit in the Lake of Fire?
carpentersdaughter2 6 days ago
@carpentersdaughter2 when you say "it will be too late by then" what are talking about?
MsCread 1 week ago
@MsCread There is only this lifetime to put our faith in Christ and when we pass from this life to the next, there is no second chance to believe. This is why Jesus said to go our and share the gospel. Those who reject the gospel will be seperated from God for eternity.
carpentersdaughter2 6 days ago
NDE witnesses have given us a small hint of what hell is like. There are no hours or days. Punishment is infinite... What about Revelation, "every knee will bow"? Will something change during that event?
awolLDSasap 1 week ago

Gods blessings on you.
tiano1965 2 weeks ago
@tiano1965 So when Jesus says in Matthew 25, refering to the sheep and goat judgement he didn't really mean that they would go to everlasting punishment?
Was Jesus lying to us when He said He would send them to everlasting punishment?
The Greek Word Avionios means without beginning and end and this word is used in Matthew 25 when Jesus says Eternal/Avionios...
Seems pretty easy and clear to understand what Jesus has said about this.
carpentersdaughter2 2 weeks ago
Your presentation is simplistic. There are many universalist passages in the Bible, but tradition glosses them over with doctrine. Too much misinformation: most Christian universalists DO believe in hell...most believe that hell is corrective, not eternal. At the end of the day, doubt must be cast on the sanity of a God willing to torture defective humans for all eternity. God is truth and truth produces unity....there is no logical unity in the notion of eternal hell.
elmerfud551 2 weeks ago
@elmerfud551 The problem with Universalist view is that Jesus spoke about eternal security for those who believe in Him. Now if there is no eternal seperation from God as you want to believe, then there is no eternal salvation with God either because the same word is used for both salvation and seperation from Him. God will not force anyone into heaven and what ever choices we make here in time will have eternal conquences. God is loving but he is just and won't force Himself upon anyone.

the parable of the 99 and one lost sheep tells Jesus died for all and will not leave one lost, All people will believe for the bible says every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that he is lord ,those on earth, in heaven and under the earth, sounds like all to me.thanks just trying to impart Gods truth to you ,Blessings
tiano1965 3 weeks ago

Sal.
Lrothtube 4 weeks ago
@Lrothtube It would behoove some of you guys to read my responses to others on this video. First off a deep study of this word has been done and it doesn't surprise me when I come to the word eternal in Greek it literally means forever, not a temporary setting or set of time as you say. I see this so many times over from people like yourself that it tells me you and others are parrotting what others have said.
I will say yes, study this word in Greek and find for youself that it means FOREVER
carpentersdaughter2 2 weeks ago
@carpentersdaughter2 Nope you have it wrong, Aion represents TIME therefore it cannot mean something outside of time as eternity. I believe that Jesus Christs' atonement was for all men, as the scriptures say! For Jesus Christ to LOOSE EVEN ONE would be Jesus MISSING THE MARK & and not accomplishing what scripture says he CLEARLY set out to do. Hell, Sheol, are consistently representing the grave or death, Jesus saved ALL MEN from sin & death, sorry if that doesnt mesh with current false doctrin
Lrothtube 2 weeks ago
@Lrothtube LOL....you know I keep going back to see if the meaning of AVION has changed and for some reason it hasn't....it has always meant WITHOUT BEGINNING AND END....you know this means eternal incase you didn't know.
I challenge anyone to look up this word in a Greek Interlinear. Yes, Jesus atonement was for all men but as I have said not all men will accept Christ's atonement and God will not force Himself upon anyone at anytime.
Jesus spoke of Eternal punishment, BELIEVE IT!!

So I guess Jesus came and died and since there is no eternal punishment, then there is no eternal salvation with God, and so I guess he wasted his time dying on the cross and going through all that suffering for nothing.
carpentersdaughter2 1 week ago
@carpentersdaughter2 OK, listen up.
Matt 24:3
And what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age (aion)?” < eternity? uh,no..
Eph 1:21
not only in this age (aion) but also in that which is to come.
Notice that this present aion (age) will be followed by the next aion (age) which is to come. There are more verses I can post if you like? Aion does have different meanings, AND the mistranslations of sheol/hades/gehenna/owlam/tartarus. this bronze-age doctrine is VERY flawed.
ShatteredOnes92 1 week ago

Then we become "A NEW creature in Christ.
jamesstenbeck1977 1 month ago

The penalty for sin is death. (Romans 6:23) You might want to brush up on the Bible in it's original language. The modern versions are mistranslated. If there is eternal damnation then isn't that double jeopardy? Then that is not just (2 Thessalonians 1:6). There is no mention of hell in the Old Testament...
cbenji07 1 month ago
@cbenji07 So I guess God isn't capable of inspiring men to translate His Word to English. This is basically what you are saying and I think it's a bunch of bunk.
So many try to discredit the Bible these days and you seem to follow suit with them.
carpentersdaughter2 1 month ago
@carpentersdaughter2 So you think God inspired the translators? Of course you don't. You probably think he just inspired the KJV translators. But the KJV was made in 1611, and its translators claimed they were fallible, and that their version should not be the final translation. You also misrepresent the position. We don't say all will be saved whether or not they believe. All are saved through Jesus, and all will repent and confess him. "Every knee will bow."
nrolett 1 month ago
@nrolett All you do is parrot the teachings of others. Yes every knee will bow but they won't be saying it from the side of salvation. the context of scripture is that sin seperates us from God. @yankobutt Here at this video, someone is promoting universalism?
carpentersdaughter2 1 month ago
If a majority of the world is going to hell, how is Jesus victorious? Sounds like a victory for Satan. How can I have peace in Christ if my dead relatives are burning in hell right now? What if there is no hell?
I am on the fence about this issue and looking for the truth about it. It is certainly not my intent to pick a fight or defend Universalism.
urbanrecon 1 month ago
@urbanrecon The best way to be off that fence is by studying God's Word, especially the gospels and the letters from Paul to the different churches. Jesus plainly speaks of eternal punishment. The one thing to remember is Jesus died who came down in the form as a human being to take on our sins and our punishement for us, but there is a condition for salvation. we must put our faith in Jesus and who who said He is and beleive what He's done for us. God will never froce us to believe in Him.
carpentersdaughter2 1 month ago
@carpentersdaughter2 I am studying the Bible. We probably agree on alot. I agree about a possible condition for salvation and believing on Jesus. But I don't see how eternal damnation is real... The greek word for forever or eternal in the Bible is usually some form of aion which from my study means an age or period, not eternity. So maybe the bible means believe what Jesus did on the cross (get people into heaven), not believe in order to get into heaven?
urbanrecon 1 month ago
@urbanrecon I suggest you study Matthew 25 and study it in the Greek Interlinear so you will see and understand that eternal means eternal. God will not force Himself upon anyone especially in eternity. If one rejects Jesus while on this earth God is going to respect their choices and allow them to be where they wanted to be and this is seperated from God for all eternity.
carpentersdaughter2 2 weeks ago
You make good points. But how do we know eternal damnation exists in the first place? Where does this idea of eternal hell come from? What if the lake of fire in scripture is temporary?
urbanrecon 2 months ago
@urbanrecon The gospels and the book of Revelation is very clear on eternal punishment. Well, if the Lake of Fire was a temporary place as so many try and teach, then it would say so but it doesn't. the word eternal is always used for punishement, just as it is used for eternal salvation. The same greek word for eternal is the same word and is used for punishment and for salvation. So if there is no eternal punishement, then there is no eternal salvation either.
I will get back to you on this.
carpentersdaughter2 1 month ago
@carpentersdaughter2 You're in serious error. The Greek word is AIONIOS, which is the adjective form of AION. Aion means "an age." In the many English Bibles, including KJV it is translated variously as WORLD, AGE, FOREVER, GENERATION. But it simply means "age." They translated it as eternity when it suited their predermined theology. Yes it is applied to "life." It's the life in the coming age. It is not referring to duration at all. It's about "when" not "how long."
nrolett 1 month ago
@nrolett Again this is so tiring. All anyone has to do is go to the Greek and see what Aionios means. I dare anyone to look it up and to stop parroting what they hear. The Greek word Aionios means "without beginning or end"
Try it you might learn the true meaning of this word. Also I suggest you study Matthew 25 where Jesus speaks of the sheep and goats judgement that will happen right after He returns. The same Greek Word Aionios is used for both eternal life and eternal punishment.

We are not robots.
briank06261973 2 months ago
@briank06261973 Yes the common demonator here is free will and the conquences of our decisions. Calvinism and Universalism have this common demonator between them.

@BeauG92 God didn't create sin, it was a choice lucifer chose to rebel and sinned. Adam & Eve-if you even believe in original sin, were tricked, but ultimately chose to disobey God's simple command. When we sin - we make choices in life b/c God gave man sovereignty to decide for ourselves whether we choose to obey his laws or not, incldg the consequences good or bad. He gave man six-days or 6000 yrs to decide whether he can live w/o God or not; then He comes back and cleans the house.

..is true then all roads lead to God, which then makes God out to be sadistic and schyphronic. God wouldn't have punished Pharoah, or the world in Noah's day, or Sodom and Gomorrah. God showed us that sin has conquences and if we don't believe and take the time to repent and put our faith in Jesus, that our sins are still upon us. God doesn't force salvation upon anyone and universalism forces salvation on those who hate God.
carpentersdaughter2 2 months ago
@ca I never said, nor do I believe "all roads lead to God".ONLY JESUS CHRIST can save any of us.Have u examined colossians 1 14-20&UNDERLINED "all things" in every single verse?Well,THAT is what Im talking about&it's very clear about what was created, by who is was created, for who it was created, all things in HEAVEN &all things in EARTH &all things UNDER the earth, and ALL to be reconciled (through his PEACE) UNTO JESUS CHRIST.All things and what the means is fully revealed in these verses.
jvsm1971 2 months ago
@jvsm1971 If all men are saved as you believe then it doesn't really matter what god you believe in because in the end, all men are saved, which means that any road can lead to God, and salvation. You really can't have it both ways, Jesus said anyone trying to get to heaven without him is a theif and will be throne into the lake of fire. That's not going to heaven.
We have free will to choose what we want and we will have the conquences of our choices. That's why the Bible warns us to believe
carpentersdaughter2 2 months ago
@cI didn't say all men ARE saved.I believe all men WILL BE saved. There was a point in my life when I was NOT SAVED &then the day came when God the Father drew me through Jesus Christ His Son&SAVED me.There is a before &after for each precious human being that has ever lived.1Cor15:22 For in Adam ALL DIE so in Christ shall ALL be made alive.Every knee will bow & every tongue confess that Jesus christ is LORD,to the GLORY OF THE FATHER. It cannot be GLORY to our Father if it's a FORCED confession
jvsm1971 2 months ago
@jvsm1971 It doesn't really matter because in the end you beleive all will be saved. Yes, every knee wil bow but not every knee will acknowledge Jesus as their Lord. Believe it or not, even though you are not a Mormon, this is a Mormon belief, that all men will eventually be saved. Those that won't be saved according to them is Satan and the demons. You are holding on to a doctrine that is false.
Is it that you can't cope with a loving God who has an eternal seperation from Him?
carpentersdaughter2 2 months ago
@c GODS love is neverending and His Gospel and power to save all that is lost is UNlimited. Im not the one who is limiting Jesus Christ's redemptive power, will, plan. His will is to save all, His plan is to save all, His purpose is to save all - and I believe it. Jesus Christ is that Powerful, Loving, Forgiving over all His creation. If even one person is separated from Him for a never ending period of time, then Jesus Christ is NOT the Saviour of the whole world. He failed.

@jvsm1971 Calvanist says "God can but wont"
Armenaism says "God wants to but cant"
God says "He wants to, can, and will". Im no calvanist... I repented of all doctrines / teachings of men some time ago and only have ONE teacher, Jesus Christ who IS Lord of ALL and IN ALL.
jvsm1971 2 months ago
@jvsm1971 Again please take time to study God's Sovereign Will and His Permissive Will. You will see how and why some will not be saved and understand it better.
It sounds like you can't accept God if he allows those who reject Him to be seperated from Him. It's not what we like but what God's Word says about those who reject Christ. It only during our lifetime can we accept or reject this truth and when we reject it, the conquences are seperation from God for all eternity.
carpentersdaughter2 2 months ago
@jvsm1971 So you say God is loving, which I believe too, but according to your belief a man like Christopher Hichinns, who died two weeks ago will be saved. This man heard the gospel, reject it, blasphemed Jesus, the Holy Spirit and the Father, and you believe that God will save this man. So God is going to force Christopher Hichinns against His will to be with God? Forcing someone to be with Him is not loving at all. this is why I say Universalism and Calvinism doesn't allow for free will.
carpentersdaughter2 2 months ago
@carpentersdaughter2 This is what I believe, The power of His Gospel never ever ever ends. 1 Cor 15:19 And if we have HOPE in Christ only in THIS LIFE, we are the most MISERABLE people in the world. The elect now, the rest in the ages to come. Yes, truly, Jesus Christ will never stop until every last one who is lost, is found and saved. This is GOOD GOOD NEWS.
jvsm1971 2 months ago
@ca The bible teaches us we are a SLAVE to sin. That is NOT FREE WILL. It's the Son who sets us FREE. Free from what? Bondage. Bondage, is not FREE WILL. We are in bondage to sin and death and we need to be FREED. & when we are free we are FREE INDEED. Until then, our minds, our hearts, are so corrupted, so ill, so sick we dont even know what truth is.How can we believe in something we are unable to understand?Jesus is the only one who saves,we cannot save ourselves - that is works.
jvsm1971 2 months ago
@jvsm1971 Now you are holding on to some Calvinist doctrines which is false too. God calls us to repent, this is clear throughout the Old and New Testament. Yes, we are slave to sin, which means we will sin over doing God's will but the Holy Spirit reveals to us Jesus Christ, which He is the light, and reveals to us our own sins and allows us to see that Jesus died for our sins. we have the free will to choose if we will accept this truth or reject it. If we reject it we die in our sins.

@jvsm1971 Oh I wasn't saying you were a Mormon, I was making the point that no matter what we believe we believe it to be truth, so we want to share that truth with others. you are confusing God's Sovereign Will verses His Permissive Will, and this is where you go so wrong.

@c Oh, sorry, got mixed up re the Mormon thing. Well, I guess your comment is applicable to every single human being and not just me. It's the Lord, His Spirit that leads us for He is our Shepherd. @jvsm1971 Jesus died for all sins, you are correct in that, but where you go wrong is believing that every one will be in heaven when the Bible has directly shown us that those who haven't put their faith in Christ will die in their sins.
Context is what shows us what that word means.
carpentersdaughter2 2 months ago
@jvsm1971 Christ died for the sins of the world. His resurrection proved that he has power over death and hell, thus he conquered death and the grave. However, its up to each individual to trust in his completed work of salvation. God gave each person their own sovereignty to choose and decide one's own fate, whether to trust in Christ or not, but it doesn't disqualify God's sovereignty b/c in the end his judgment will triumph over every human subject whether they believe or not.
porkeebear 2 months ago
@jvsm1971, Universal-salvation which is a post-christian and modern re-adaptation of humanism (imho), theoretically undermines God's theological authority by proclaiming blanket amnesty which robs individuals of their sovereignty, personal choices and decisions incldg. accountability and moral responsibility. Paul, Peter, John, Hebrews all made refs about repentance and moral accountability alluding to the judgment to come. Peace.

It is written that through PEACE He will reconcile ALL THINGS.
jvsm1971 2 months ago
@jvsm1971 I believe we're in agreement that the fall of Adam is not more powerful than the resurrection and redemptive work. What I thought you were implying is that all men are saved "regardless" of whether or not they believed in Christ.
porkeebear 2 months ago

In regards to Punishment, Jesus used the Greek Word Kolasin which means " to Prune or Correct."
oceangrove129 2 months ago

@BeauG92 I don't bother to waste my time with givng an intelligent answer to someone who can't handle them.
You will not maniupulate me into your game no matter what mindless games you play.
carpentersdaughter2 2 months ago
@BeauG92 If you repeated the words of an author, does that make you an author? No, and just because I repeat what God's word says, doesn't mean I am God. It only means I study His Word and take them seriously.
Your old strawman arguements are so old and just so stupid. I can't believe anyone still parrots them.Do you honestly think that that you can cause the downfall with these old useless and answered questions?
Forget about intelligence because it's apparent you have.

Nope. Only those who choose to grab the lifeline(Christ's atonement) are saved. Those who choose to ignore the lifeline and drown, drown.

@cliffe98 Amen, sad but oh so true. God will not force Himself upon anyone and those who reject Him, God will respect that for all eternity.

3 Views which one is truly Good News?
1.God is Love and will eventually save everyone! (flat out not true)
2.God is a God of justice & Mercy however it is up to him to choose who will burn in Hell forever and who will live with him forever. (flat out not true)
3.God is Love but the wages of sin is death. Christ died for you! Receive him and become a son of God and live forever instead of die forever!
1.God as a pushover
2.God as unfair.
3.God loving, fair & just!

@Georgephyl Great analogy.

Well, thank you so much, and God bless you,
Linda

@carpentersdaughter2 I refuse to (argue) "Truth" with anyone who refuses the clear and sound teachings of scripture. It's one thing to reasonably discuss with someone an honest misunderstanding, but a pharisee who (purposely) will not listen to the Lord's Word, I must leave alone. There are to many others - who honestly don't know God's Word, to waste on those who are workers of darkness and want, not the (Truth.) You will have to make the call on which you are dealing with. (My SIC.)

@FormVoltron I can see that now, that all they want to do is argue. I am blocking those who persist in arguing

@UniversalismRefuted My deepest apologies. Well, I have blocker her because all she wants to do is argue, so I had enough of that.

As far as God not forcing this gift on to anyone, what else can I say other than His word says He chooses us, not the other way around.
ShirleyCoralineJones 3 months ago
