  • plz tell me where u got the script & how 2 innstall it inmaya

  • i think the debris is made by blast code but plz let me know how did u expoted 2 real flow . i hav tried with blast code both the ways baking the debris & exporting into

real flow sd format but wat happend it shows only camera but not debris . can uhelp ,me by giving step by step procedure .

  • @shankervfx using voronoi shatter script, I make the polygon of the glass shattered into peaces, and use them as glue object, bake the simulation of the blastcode glue object into keyframe animation, then export it to realflow. I don't export debris from blascode into realflow, I just export the glue object only.

  • can u explain how u did this please. im doing something very similar to this in a school project but a slow motion matrix type thing. I have a bottle modeled, and now im trying to similate the water ripples as the bullet passes through

  • it does. what falls to the floor is water. look closely.

  • nice animation! 5/5, Must have taken a while to make. :D

  • dont you think the glass itself would move from the bullet? The base of the glass didn't move at all.

  • hmm.. I didn't think like that, I think the bottom of the glass just shake a little bit and not moved because the impact from the bullet is happen too fast. and the top of the glass already broken and moved so there's not enough force to move the bottom of the glass. it's just my opinion, I don't know if this true or not :p

  • well, usually when you shoot a milk jug with a .357 magnum, it makes a huge hole and send the jug itself tumbling. We use things like that for targets.

The glass would move. The energy and momentum of the bullet hitting the glass would transfer throughout the glass, not just into the top part.

A bullet moves at about 900 feet per second, depending on the caliber. It would send the glass flying, mate.

  • @randomrocket2000 depends on the angle at which the projectile were to hit the target object, if it were to hit higher up on the opject there is a chance it would just chip the object and flip it then break, if it were a direct hit towards the top (glass) it would just smash the top part of the class. If it were to hit the base of the glass the top part wouldn't smash but fall off so to speak then smash on impact on the floor.

  • @randomrocket2000 It's a function of force of complete crack propogation vs inertia of what's left of the glass.

  • hey, wanna ask how did u export your glass into realflow? i tried export as SD with deformations but realflow doesn;t allow...

  • I just bake the simulation of the glass break in maya so it became key frame animation, and then export it as SD.

  • trima kasih, i'll try it out :)

  • this is pretty cool

  • wow.....
