@SalvadorPalacios888 Santa Rosa, N.M., the town where the park is located is on the western edge of the llano. The llano stretches from eastern New Mexico into west Texas. It is said to have been named by the Conquistador Francisco Coranado in 1541.

@SalvadorPalacios888 The author, Rudolfo Anaya says it is semi-autobiographical. He grew up in Santa Rosa.
