  • Erdogan is a big liar.He was playing political game on davos.Election date is coming closer in Turkey, his goal was get more vote from radical islamics.Israilis pilots who bombs gazza, were training in Konya,Turkey.Israil and Turkey have huge amount of arms deals, who does the deal erdogan himself.

  • Manouchehr Mottaki basically showed with his clever remarks, the Wests' (particularly USA's) hypocrisy and polarizing political agenda

  • Where is the translation, are you blocking to hear different point of views?

  • Would you please post the translation? Who does not want us to know what they are talking about.

  • All my respect to Turkey 2009

  • Israel must end the occupation

  • small arab countries created for britain control over oil are totally afraid to see iran becoming powerfull, the key is the freedom of women, but still controlling as their wish

  • usa sell weapon to taliban for $

    iran too

usa create instabilities for internal politics

    iran too

usa are afraid of proliferation of nuc arms, but it's yet the case with pakistan, supported by usa, others countries are allies of usa so there is only one left, iran, so with iran the proliferation wich started with israel in the sixties should finish with iran,

  • The translated version is here:

    gaia.world-television (dot) com/wef/worldeconomicforum_annualmeeting2008/default.aspx?sn=21667&lang=en

  • naahh its not working... AND its not on WEF webside!

  • For those who are asking for translation.

Isn`t it a good idea to learn Farsi?

I am serious Iran is important country and Farsi languge is using in many countries; Iran, Afaganestan, India, Uzbakestean, Tajikestan...

I understand you want the translation now, but i wanted to mention the importance of the language of Farsi.

  • are you serious? why the hell would anyone want to learn farsi when they can learn important and useful languages like french, and spanish maybe even german. Iran an important country? really? in what regard besides oil? you don't need to know arabic or farsi to fill your car with oil. Farsi spoken in uzbeckistan? Wrong! they speak Uzbek, india? wrong! they speak over 30 languages none of them are farsi. Afghanistan? They speak Pashto with dari-farsi minority? who are you kidding? lol.

  • search for the arabic in english and other languages ... and by the way the old arabic is very important to understand and some ancient languages like Hebrew ... and nowadays it considered the oldest ..it didn't changed for 1500 year.... look at English before 50 years and you can tell the difference...above that it is an entrance for a big major of science (Islam).

  • im sorry but they don't use it in ( tajikestan, Uzbakestean and India ) and in Afaganestan 5%percent ues it only ... and by the way 50% of the Iranian them self don't speak Farsi .. and more than 30% percent of them (the 50% I mean) language is Arabic and most of them speak it. So I didn't understand from were did you come with the importance of this language... check 0:13:58 he was speaking completely arabic.

  • yes I almost forgot ... 2% of the Iranian are Arabic native speakers....with all respect to you neighbours

  • total embaresment 4 west.

thats why they dont translate this.

  • waiting for the translation?

  • Clearly, it isn't happening. I mean, I understand Persian, but this is at least seemingly underhanded on the part of the WEF, at best.

  • It is silly not to put the English translation.. a very obvious trick from WEF to block the public from listening to the Iran message

  • I am working to get the version with the correct audio tracks up soon.

    Bear with us

    Matthias Lüfkens

    World Economic Forum

  • thanks matthias I think it's good idea.

    siavash from iran

  • anyword on the translation? is there a date for us to watch for?

  • Waiting for those translations....

  • Still waiting! 4 months of Persian lessons might have gotten me further.

  • WorldEconomicForum; don't you think 7 moths is already a loooooong time to translate 1 hour video? What is your game mate? Have the Jews paid you not to do it? Let me know if you need help, I can translate it all in an hour and you can add the translation with annotation without making a new video! Let me know if you are not actually working the Brits and Yankees and their illegitimate child Israel.

  • Ugh... FRUSTRATION... there's no translation here. Davos is great, the access it gives through online delivery of the vids is great. But the inconsistency of the vids which are translated vs. not translated is maddening!

  • You are just going to have to learn Persian, also keep in mind that if you don't know what the other side is saying...it makes it easier to rely on translators. In latin the verb "to translate" and to "to lie" are one and the same. This is why Arabs insist that the Koran not be translated from the original Arabic. While many will disagree with this point of view, it should encourage folks to learn a

    new language.

  • United States and Diplomacy

are not two words that go well together

Garreth, what about your definition of attacs on civilians

  • I don't understand the politic here properly.

America insists not talking directly with Iran before halting the enrichment, but what is here in this meeting going on.

Aren't these two directly talking? And what is the harm in talking directly?

  • Please American public needs to see this.

Where can i get a english version of this.

  • Translation?

  • Indeed, where are the subtitles?

  • All the world's a stage.

  • The only thing that emerged from Iran's nuclear case is the sheer hypocrisy of liberal democracy.

  • Ardeshiran , Do you allow anybody to speak in ur video? or u still cencoring peoples comments?

  • Looking at middle-east issues and Iran from an unbiased prospective, you will easily realize what the roots of the problems are and which governments are at fault. The solution is very easy to comply and it is available but only effective when the USA`s foreign policy shifts its behaviour from a bully to a civilized one.

  • Good Luck w-that one Sweetie! America is a Bully, because it can be! It is the law of the Jungle!

  • Iran is not democratic and free, yet I don't believe your numbers are also correct. Iranian women have more rights than Saudi women. Ask yourself this question, do you think US ever cares about our women's right, jouranalists in jail, and our pro democratic intellectuals? If this is the issue why they don't sanction Saudi Arabia? My idiot friend, if US ever attack Iran for decades to come you won't even can go there. Just look at Iraq and Afghanistan today, and read some history books!!!

  • what do you know understand about iran and the iranian question? how qualified are you to speak your judgment?

-iran is the only stable country in the middle east that can pull its own weight, instead of sparring with iran this rich in history and culture. you should first read and not to visualize through the one-sided mirror.

-the adoration of magi by da vinci would be a great way to start...

  • i can not speak of the persian people in iran but i can say that any aggression towards iran will be met with fierce resistance. Persians are a very proud people who have been held down by major world powers because they know a united and strong iran will be a superpower unlike any the world has seen. iran does have problems just like any other country but they at least can say they havnt attacked any country in over 100 years. Let Iran be and dont be so stupid to attack a sleeping lion!

  • Lets leave out the English translation so only Persians can understand the answers. Bottom line is... McCain has been selected to be the next president and Iran is in the crosshairs. Iran is not our enemy. We should have voted for Ron Paul.

  • down with pan farsism.down with pan iranism

  • down with idiots who do not even know what "Iran" means!!

  • Iran (or any other country)should not be invaded by the superpowers and the gang of world laders for whatever reasons. However, do not forget that Iranian leaders are tyrants that oppress their own people and want to export their so called islamic revolution.

  • Few more lies from mullahs. As Mr. Khalilzad mentioned, there is wide gap between mullahs' statements and mullahs' practices. Iran deservers peaceful nuke program but not under current radical and dictator mullahs.

  • Actually the statements from the Iranian government that Iran doesnt have a nuclear weapons program has been confirmed by the NIE and IAEA. They have confirmed that what the government says about its nuclear program is consistent with its practices. On the other hand it is Bush that consistently lies about other countries in order to gain support for his plans to invade. Bush is the little boy who repeatedly cries wolf, not Iran.

  • Iran has in fact 1.5 billion population and must be taken seriousely by western powers. All Iranian must work hand in hand to defend Iran against US agression in the region. Security of Iran is the only prerequisite to democracy and freedom.

  • 1.5 billion? Try 70 million.

  • So you mean Iran is democratic and free?Thats why our woman has only 50% of the rights of a man?Thats why million of journalists are in prision and thats why Chātemī were pushed out of his charge? If you like it so much, go back. But then you would not be able to post here, because youtube (for example) is BLOCKED.I will not go back anymore.

  • millions of journalists are imprisoned in iran? i think the number might be slightly lower than that :) and one day i hope to go back and eat some lamb kabob and fresh baked bread. also women are a majority of the colleges trust me persian women have plenty of power and theyre getting much hotter than i remember.

  • millions of journalists are in prison?????? are you high?

  • Sorry , But where did u get the number of the population in Iran. As much as I know it's only 70.000.000.

  • I don't know if you are being sarcastic or serious.. But what he mant was muslims (1.2 billion) + people of other countries that are backing Iran in this case.

  • well he is wrong.

  • where the hell did you get that number?

your saying iran has 1/4 people of the world? its 65million not 1.5billion

  • Iranians living in Iran are only 70 million, majority are not content with this regime, but they don't see US military invasion as liberation. In fact, US military has proven record of torture and abuse of innocent civilians and it is a well known fact. Here is the catch, 1.5 billion are Moslems who have a deep sympathy with the cause of this Iranian regime, in fact they want to see the revival of a major and sovereign Islamic regime that doesn't pay lip service to Western powers.

  • This was a great discussion and worth being broadcasted in main stream western media, especially during US election. Thanks to Google that has eliminated somehow the censorship. I urge all Middle Easterns rise to defend Iran against US hegemony, because the modern Iran does not represent only 70 million population, but all 1.5 billion Moslems. Nuclear issue is only an excuse to bomb the very existence of Iran and teach all independent nations a lesson, be the white man slaves !!!

  • What a completely delusional person you are. Iran does not represent ALL moslems, thank God. The IRP repressive govenment does not even represent the Iranian people. The proud, yet repressed Iranian people hate this regime. The IRP is NOT democratic! Opposition=death.Your idiotic comment about White Men's Slaves shows how reactionary you really are. Iran's mullahs starving their people, stealing every dime, fueling terrorism everywhere. Iranians are starving, have no oil to heat their homes!

  • Democracy is an important issue, but US hegemony in the region is not for democracy. Any small nation who dares to challenge this modern day colonialism is doomed, no mater what regime rules Iran, as long as they exercise their independence they are sanctioned by the Western major powers and brandished with all kind labels. In 1953 Mossadegh was not anti American nor a communist and his democratically elected governemnt was overthrown by a Coup de Etat supported by CIA ...

  • Dr. Mossadegh was an intellectual and a humanitarian.

  • Also I mentioned " modern Iran" I wonder what u meant by that? Oconomy in Iran is a trouble. 20% unemployment. 5% are abusing drug.inflation is 30%.Also As an Iranian Iran is a dangeous to the middle east. I'm Agianst war. but also agianst Iranian goverment.

  • All the drugs in Iran come from afghanistan. Afghanistan is today in the hands of the US military and this year according to the UN afghanistan has produced record amounts of narcotics. The US has done nothing to curb drug production in Afghanistan even though they claim smuggling is what funds al-qaeda. So blame george Bush for Irans drug problem, not the Iranian Government. Instead of eradicating poppy fields, the US provides the afghan drug lords with stinger missiles.

  • i wonder if hitler was alive, where he would be seated in this picture?

  • Don't compare Iranians with Nazi's. Take a course in 20th century European history and find a single co-realation between these two nations. Who is a modern day Hitler? To my belief Neo-Cons and US hawks are more facists than any one else. Even Israel, as a victim of Holocaust is ethnically cleanising a nation from the face of the earth. Just see how they starving innocents people in Gaza stip. Literally another Warsaw Ghetto?

  • Iranians are not nazis

but a lot of Muftis had support for Hitler and Nazis and his organized violence against innocents

    Clerical Islam is dangerous

and so is the dangerous demagoguery of Islams worst aspects

blame USA for everything right, you life sux so anti- USA is the answer to all your problems

what about economic stagnation due to civil servants controlling all the economy and starving opportunity

  • I am not aware of any war crimes commited by Iran. I can mention a few commited by the state of Israel. Do you want examples?

  • This government is hated in Iran and the Mullahs turned the iranian economy, once the most powerfull in the region, to a broken economy. the whole government is a Mafia, How can we trust such a government?

  • Your description sounds very much like the Bush administration.

  • Thank you Google for world info

  • The bottom line is that Iran is under a brutal religious dictatorship. These mullahs have lied and suppressed the Iranian people for almost 3 decades. They are totally hated and mistrusted by Iranian people, how do you expect the world community to trust this brutal government. The world community would not have any problem with Iran having nuclear power if its government was a democratic and responsible to its people and world community. The mullahs can not and should not be trusted, PERIOD!

  • i don't like islamic govern or regime, but i do like Motaki.even if hes conservative the guy is really smart and knows what comes out of his mouth.

hes not some ignorant warewolf like ahmaghi-nejad

  • Is there a english version of this video or one with subtitles?

  • Can anyone put an English subtitle for this plz. If you can't, plz let me know how someone can do it and I'll try to do it.

    tanx

  • On behalf of the American-Iranian Friendship Committee(AIFC),I found the positions of the representatives of the Islamic Republic of Iran to be logical, rational and legitimate. While the rhytric of Mr. Khalilzad, US representative in the UN and an old neocon, was baseless and aggressive.

  • anyone got the english translation?

  • Proof that the USA and Islamic Republic of Iran work hand in hand and this is not their first public proof. They are in it together, and from the views you can see the USA is playing into the Ayatollahs' hands (and the Ayatollahs' masters) where are the British, ha?

  • why not go ahead to peace

  • Manoooch is awesome . Long live Iran and Iranians' rights

  • It is dobbel standard

  • manooch i like you ! you dont look like others !!!

  • Mr KHalilzad was talking non-sense !I am so sorry for his reasons similar to Bush administration. They are some lier and the world is changed. Interesting, Bush administration had a lot pressure in Khalilzad after looking this video! He may get fired soon because of this session in Davus.

  • This video is fantastic in enabling the public to know the facts. And the facts are the USA represive anti-Iranian political and economical policies. Containg Iran is the word one hears about US intention on Iran.

  • The video is valuable in so far as it gives us the public to find out how the UN has been used as a instrument of repression by US to punish a nation for its own political and economic objectives.

  • thak you

  • thank you for uploading this video

  • tnx for sharing
