Mate, you're confusing the low-end dual-cores with mid-end and high-end ones. Intel Core 2 Duo is NOT Pentium D which is very old technology which I'm afraid it doesn't keep up with today's standards.

Eh, the processor does the job it's meant for, didn't notice any kind of bottle-necking.

As for 2x 9600 GT's in SLI, I'd say a 550W psu should do alright, considering you have enough PCI-E connectors.

Is there any such motherboard that supports two pentium D processors and has a pci-express connector? If there is, well, that's nice, but the pentium D is really OLD technology (2004-2005 anyone?) and they would probably not match up any close to a current generation processor. However, if you play games on a max. 20" monitor, the 9600 is the greatest card you can get for those money.

Yes it is the Nomad from the first Crysis, there are a few cutscenes throughout the game which show some of these flashback dialogs.
