Bias was one of those dream players, everyone can talk about what jordan has done and what len could have done. Len was a monster player, he was a superstar on the collegiate level and was poised to be one on the professional level. The battles between Isaiah and Magic, Bird, Mullen Reggie, would've included MJ and Bias .

no doubt he is an etraordinary player, one that has exceptional individual skills, talent, and excitement. If he had not died, celtics would have dominated the late 80s and maybe early 90s.

However, saying that he is the "best basketball player", or that he is a "celtic legend" is pretty off.. and worse still, saying that he "could have been better than jordan". sorry, but jordan is the greatest EVER.

and jordan even dominated him during college already, if you were old enough to watch then..

@rumrumtanneo I've never seen anyone improve more than Bias from his freshman to senior year in college, and Jordan didn't exactly dominate him in '84. Jordan was the better player in '84, but by the time Bias left Maryland, he was the better college player. Not saying Bias would have been the better NBA player, but you put Bias with Bird, McHale, Parish, etc. and Boston wins a couple more rings and MJ doesn't have six rings.

@bull864 well celtics by 1991 already almost completely declined. bird has serious back spasms, parish, mchale all were getting old and having their own problems... jordan's 1991 team could sweep the two-time defending champions pistons bad boys ( who swept magic johnson's la lakers) and jordan defeated magic johnson too.. what makes you think he cant beat the old celtics with a len bias?

@rumrumtanneo Bias would have extended the careers of the big 3, especially Bird and McHale. Bias was a dominate talent, a bigger Jordan if you will. But, would Bias have been a rival of Jordan or a bigger Vince Carter type? I don't know. I'm just going with my gut, and my gut says if Bias would have lived the Bulls would only have four rings instead of six. I'm basing it on the fact that Bias was the greatest college player I've ever seen. He was good enough to change the NBA landscape.

that is the saddest part of the video. His mom was quoted in saying that Jay thought Len was going to walk thru the door every day :'( and his brother Jay, was shot 2 or 4 years after lens death in a parking lot truly a tragedy. RIP Len and Jay Bias
