@KungfuFr0g Yes, but the invasion of Afghanistan by the Soviet Union, and the military support to Talibans by the US, started in the end of 1979, so more than 30 years ago...
@jfolpf Yeah well after the collapse of the soviet union, the industrial military complex needed new enemies to fight. Its funny how they made all these top secret titanium aircraft to keep an eye on Russia, however, they needed lots of Russian titanium to make them. Their power and dominance cannot exist without an enemy to fight.

America+NATO forces gained control over Afghanistan without much resistance. and it seems like once again Pakistan will force the conquerors to accept a negotiated settlement with the local resistance (Taliban).

@infiltratorr If you are talking about mughals then they were not Afghans to begin with, and their rule didn't last for 1000 years, only 300 years. Alexander did not face any resistance from Afghans and crossed the river Indus to Punjab(now in Pak) where his army suffered tremendous loss to the Elephants of Punjabis, to the point that it put an end to his campaign... Alexander died on his way back home.
@rickhiop Afghans are good fighters but yu afghans aren't the ones fighting against america its actually pakistanis in disguise or pashtuns mostly from pakistan !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@rickhiop And how come it took the us to defeat the taliban and don't say we didn't cause in november 2001 they left their government and now we help arrange elections and police force. you know what fuck it we run the country. Acctuly we run the world.
@scoterlucyaredogs Thank God America's government tells the truth 100%. :) Your so called victory over these people will not last a year. You might have managed to fool their leaders, but you will not fool the whole country. These people don't give a shit about your stupid ideas, democracy and lies and don't want them! Your government should have stayed the fuck home and let the Afghans run their country like they know and did for thousands of years, long before you existed!
@bob1sded Exactly, which gave USRR a greater legitimacy. US, on the other hand, invaded Afg unilaterally just because theoretically they switched from freefighters to terrorists
the taliban are not from afghanistan, the word means students. which comes from the group of students who came to afghanistan from pakistan after the soviets left. and when they saw the entire country fighting each other, they began killing the warlords who were armed to the teeth by the U.S. basically they helped form the new goverment, and as remembering those warriors they named the goverment after them. and the funny thing is the current president of afghanistan was one of the warlords
having afghan descendants it is true they have kicked out major powers and i am proud of that heritage i jus totally disagree where the culture went in todays society with the jacked up taliban
@Johnny55199 maybe you're right but the taliban have a great record of resistance against major empires. The major resistance in old times weren't made by tribe leaders, but by the talibans. Remeber the SU invasion
@jfolpf yes but you must understand that when they defeated powers such as england alexander and genghis khan they were not taliban but small tribes not connected sadly after fighting the enemy and winning they fight themselves which i find sad i am btw a christian not a muslim
@Johnny55199 Yes, but when the Soviet Union fought against them, they were already Taliban, with all that Muslim doctrine. And at that period, US supported Taliban, in the name of sovereignty and freedom of Afghan people... WIth this video I just want to show to everyone the paradoxes and the incongruities of the US external policy
@Johnny55199 my dear those small tribes were the same as now they have named themself as taliban...there is no any difference in them or thier ancestors..pakhtoons are really hard like stone people they are famous for thier strongness in the region...

Ummm, to this Talibani guy, Alexander, the Mongols, Persians, Arabs, turks etc... did conquer afghanistan and held it for most of it's history. What were they sleep through out all these invasions or something?
@persiandudeee Actually I don't know the precise history of Afghanistan, but for sure they kicked out the Soviets and for sure they'll kick out also the US troops
@jfolpf Ha ha thats funny. It shows not only do you not know history, you don't know current events. There is hardly any fighting there. Its all media sensationalism.
@jfolpf Kicked out? The casualties and battle ratio was well in the Soviet Army favour, until Gorbachev decided to pull the troops out because of his 'new thinking' on foreign and domestic policy.
It's like Vietnam IMHO, military-wise they've won.
@WolfhoundMercenary They've won military-wise, but they had tremendous losses and then they had to retreat. And the Talibans at that time were largely suported by CIA and all the US intel. And that is a huge PARADOX
@persiandudeee you dont know these Afghanis they are made up of stones..they are hard as rock becasue of thier climate and atmosphere...they will emerge after each 20 years as they have been after britishers, soviets, and now USA....write it with my blood they can never be defeated....
@AFGMUJAHID08 Yes, they all conquered it, for like most of Afghanistan's history these empires were ruling that region, especially the Persian dynasties. Now America and Russia invaded, maybe not conquered, but the rest mentioned diff conquered.
@AFGMUJAHID08 Wtf are you talking about you Pakhtun kooni? If being controled by these empires for most of your history doesn't count as being conquered, then you're delusional.
@persiandudeee I don't really know the history of the region either... but the turkish empire did not reach that far east... or Alexander the Great.... the mongols took over it.... but the mongol empire took over most of the known world touching both great oceans, but could not hold it for very long; that is why tribal leaders in afghanistan are still called 'Khans' to this day.
Anyway, if it's because there is a hilly and dificult terrain or because the afghans are strong warriors, the fact is that many empires have perished in Afghanistan
American foreign policy is run by genocidal idiots, schizophrenic ideologues, and warmongering corporate interests. It's been that way forever, even since the so-called "Good War", aka World War II. For example: we firebombed Dresden, a city that was all civilians, had no military value, and was nearly twice it's population with innocent war refugees. We dropped nukes on Japan, even though they were in the middle of deciding their terms for surrender.
@OneEyeOctopus A very interesting point of view dear octopus... Actually I have never though deeply what the allies did in Dresden during the so called "Good War". US nowadays just pretends power and global hegemony and that's way US spends every year about 650 billion dollars on military expenditures, seven times more than China and twice the total of European countries!
@OneEyeOctopus Sounds like you didn't quite get your history right. You watch too much news :) Dresden Had military value, look it up. Japan was not going to surrender. The people were completely indoctrinated and the leaders were too swept up in believing their own lies of success.
@p51spittinnails I don't care about those parts of the movie... the essential message is on this part of the movie published here. The Afghans wil always fight for their independence
@jfolpf First off, the Taliban is not Afghanistan. They are IN Afghanistan but they corrupt it like a cancer and terrorize the good people of the country. There is a difference between being in Afghanistan and being in the Taliban. Second of all there is no second point because the first one is the only truth that needs being discussed here.
@p51spittinnails I might agree with you when you say that Taliban is not Afghanistan, but what I try to mention with this metaphorical video is that US in the 70's actually supported Talibans and on that period US demonstrated Talibans as being the humble free-fighters for the sovereignty of their homeland. 30 years have passed and now they're terrorists. Is not that paradoxical?
@jfolpf I see where you're coming from. However the U.S has technology that Russia did not have in the 80s when fighting the taliban. GPS gives the battlefield a whole new perspective and will be the primary instrument in eliminating the Taliban. As for the U.S supporting the Taliban it shows how fickle politics can be at times. So yes I would say it is paradoxical.
@mandroid87 lol i wasn't aware the Taliban was rich enough to afford computers. If you mean that the US are going to win, i'm inclined to agree with you.
@p51spittinnails Will you win? Maybe not, because guerilla fighting is quite different from the typical war scenario. And who were the good people during the red army invasion of Afghanistan?
@jfolpf Those fighting for Afghanistan against Russia were not the same people that are fighting the USA today. Yes, some may be conscripted by the Taliban for duty or may volunteer through a disillusioned mentality of defending their country. However, the Taliban only began their rise to power over Afghanistan in the 1990s and i do not believe most people know that. They are not some age old regime that has held Afghanistan for hundreds of years.
@p51spittinnails For the Afghans there is no difference if the invader is US or SU, it is anyway an invasive empire which pretends to remove the sacred sovereignty of the Afghan people. There is no difference in the type of guerilla nor on the social extract of the population which fights the invader. SU then, and US now, are both invaders on one sovereign country!
First alexander the great then kengis khan then britain then russia AND NOW NATO! No woner the taleban cant be defeated with rambo on there side that man with rambo in the movie is bin laden and he is actually second in command of the taleban RAMBO IS THE LEADER AND THE MASTER MIND! Rambo fightsn with the taleban
@osamabinladin4u - It's a metaphor. Talibans supported by America won the Red Army, and they were the free fighters fighting for their independence and freedom, now 30 years after, they are terrorists
@jfolpf americans arnt trying to take afghanistan, The usa wants the taliban out, They are a threat to the usa. The usa would leave tomorrow if afghanistan became communist or a dictatorship. Which the usa dislikes both. As long as they dont bomb europe or the usa.
@meronmotors Dear sir, didn't talibans bomb many soviet union cities during the war against the communists? Weren't they supported by the americans? I am Portuguese! How many Portuguese citizens were killed by the african guerilla supported by US during the cold war? The Taliban were never a problem or a threat to US, as was not either Saddam Hussein! US simply wants to lubricate its huge and tremendous war machine and the Taliban are just the perfect target
yea I understand how they were used as a buffer for the (then) upcoming war with russia. Times have changed the Taliban took power fucked that whole thing up and again are being used as a buffer by iran. screw the taliban infidel is how i roll. your metaphor is a bit ignorant.
@clydethekiller My metaphor just say that the Taliban always fight, always resist against empires who try to invade their homeland. It was SU in the past, now is US.
@p51spittinnails Ten years have passed since you invaded Afghanistan, more soldiers have died in the past years than before, the facts say that you are losing the war. Everyone knows you are not leaving because you are too afraid for your reputation, what will the world think when you run away like cowards lol.
@p51spittinnails America is already ripping the Talibastards a new hole. Don't think you can win this.
It is always this same argument. But a nation doesn't win wars by how much enemy it kills, but by completing military objectives. Killing talibans isn't completing military objectives.
@jfolpf I'm against the war in Afghanistan, but saying that the Taliban is for freedom is ridiculous. They govern the Afghan people under an oppressive theocracy.
@bleushift There is no difference between Mujahideen and Taliban... Both fight for the freedom and for the sovereignty of Afghanistan against the invaders.
@jfolpf Actually they fight to repress the Afghan people. They burn down schools, kill and dismember other Afghans just for voting, throw acid at crowds of young girls, blow themselves up in populated areas, kill tribal leaders who refuse to cooperate with them, as well as their families, don't allow people to learn to read so that they can teach their own twisted and hate filled version of the Quran, the list goes on. Oh and this is just my personal experience. **** the Taliban.
@jfolpf Well during those days the Taliban did actually fight for the people, but since my comment was clearly in reference the modern terrorist regime, I stand behind what I said. Nice choice of some big words though, even though your grammar was a bit off. Oh by the way I know for sure that someone will reply with a America sucks speech, so I'll just say thank you for being the weaker man in our argument. Americans are proud but not hateful, unlike you.
@the1stneogod first of all... I try not to be hateful and I defend a better world for everyone with peace and tranquility. But I strongly insist, the so called free fighters during the SU invasion are now the terrorist. They haven't changed a tiny thing. They have the same costumes, the same beliefs, the same culture and the same goal: to expel the invaders. Take care and reflect dear Neo God
@jfolpf I agree. But only if you make it a democratic country with human rights & free speech etc, Afghanistan will be an extremely prosperous country with all its natural resources & hard-working people.
@jfolpf I'm not saying the U.S. is perfect because i read further into your comments, but the Taliban is not righteous gods as you think. The Northern Alliance(most of them Mujaheddin we funded in the 80s) has good example of of caring about their own people.
If we turn Afghanistan into the democratic with human rights, it will be prosperous but i don't think it will be. Afghanistan HAS NEVER been stable society since Alexander the Great. It was a group of tribal religious warfare.
@Hperman09 you picture Talibans as being very diferent from Mujaheddin. And there aren't such differences as you want to praise. Both have a Muslim doctrine, Mujaheddin during the SU invasion already forced women to use Burqa and Mujaheddin didn't have any respect for human rights as they also forced kids to bomb themselves agains russian troops. But during the SU invasion, US external policy pictured Mujaheddin as the free fighters. Remeber that Mujaheddin were supported by Saudi Arabia.
@jfolpf The Taliban didn't even existed until 1994. Most freedom fighters were fought against the Soviet troops in the 1980s were the Mujaheddin and they least attacked Soviet military targets. And Taliban "fight for their freedom and for the culture of their own people" by forcing women to wear Burqa, not allowing most Afghans to get a decent education, and blowing up kids who were trying to get a good education what NATO is trying to build is a great way of fighting foreign resistance.
Ahh the '80s... when US foreign policy still had a brain in its head.

@rickhiop Afghans are good fighters but yu afghans aren't the ones fighting against america its actually pakistanis in disguise or pashtuns mostly from pakistan !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Dholbajale 4 months ago
@rickhiop And how come it took the us to defeat the taliban and don't say we didn't cause in november 2001 they left their government and now we help arrange elections and police force. you know what fuck it we run the country. Acctuly we run the world.
scoterlucyaredogs 1 month ago
@scoterlucyaredogs Thank God America's government tells the truth 100%. :) Your so called victory over these people will not last a year. You might have managed to fool their leaders, but you will not fool the whole country. These people don't give a shit about your stupid ideas, democracy and lies and don't want them! Your government should have stayed the fuck home and let the Afghans run their country like they know and did for thousands of years, long before you existed!
Sorvos 1 month ago
@rickhiop russia never tried to conquer, they were actually invited by the afghan government. common misconception
bob1sded 3 weeks ago
@bob1sded Exactly, which gave USRR a greater legitimacy. US, on the other hand, invaded Afg unilaterally just because theoretically they switched from freefighters to terrorists
jfolpf 2 weeks ago
the taliban are not from afghanistan, the word means students. which comes from the group of students who came to afghanistan from pakistan after the soviets left. and when they saw the entire country fighting each other, they began killing the warlords who were armed to the teeth by the U.S. basically they helped form the new goverment, and as remembering those warriors they named the goverment after them. and the funny thing is the current president of afghanistan was one of the warlords

having afghan descendants it is true they have kicked out major powers and i am proud of that heritage i jus totally disagree where the culture went in todays society with the jacked up taliban
Johnny55199 6 months ago
@Johnny55199 maybe you're right but the taliban have a great record of resistance against major empires. The major resistance in old times weren't made by tribe leaders, but by the talibans. Remeber the SU invasion
jfolpf 6 months ago
@jfolpf yes but you must understand that when they defeated powers such as england alexander and genghis khan they were not taliban but small tribes not connected sadly after fighting the enemy and winning they fight themselves which i find sad i am btw a christian not a muslim
Johnny55199 5 months ago
@Johnny55199 Yes, but when the Soviet Union fought against them, they were already Taliban, with all that Muslim doctrine. And at that period, US supported Taliban, in the name of sovereignty and freedom of Afghan people... WIth this video I just want to show to everyone the paradoxes and the incongruities of the US external policy
jfolpf 5 months ago
@Johnny55199 my dear those small tribes were the same as now they have named themself as taliban...there is no any difference in them or thier ancestors..pakhtoons are really hard like stone people they are famous for thier strongness in the region...

@jfolpf Kicked out? The casualties and battle ratio was well in the Soviet Army favour, until Gorbachev decided to pull the troops out because of his 'new thinking' on foreign and domestic policy.
It's like Vietnam IMHO, military-wise they've won.
WolfhoundMercenary 4 months ago
@WolfhoundMercenary They've won military-wise, but they had tremendous losses and then they had to retreat. And the Talibans at that time were largely suported by CIA and all the US intel. And that is a huge PARADOX

@AFGMUJAHID08 Yes, they all conquered it, for like most of Afghanistan's history these empires were ruling that region, especially the Persian dynasties. Now America and Russia invaded, maybe not conquered, but the rest mentioned diff conquered.

persiandudeee 7 months ago
@persiandudeee I don't really know the history of the region either... but the turkish empire did not reach that far east... or Alexander the Great.... the mongols took over it.... but the mongol empire took over most of the known world touching both great oceans, but could not hold it for very long; that is why tribal leaders in afghanistan are still called 'Khans' to this day.
Hecate1990 6 months ago
Anyway, if it's because there is a hilly and dificult terrain or because the afghans are strong warriors, the fact is that many empires have perished in Afghanistan

BALEnaVICO 10 months ago
American foreign policy is run by genocidal idiots, schizophrenic ideologues, and warmongering corporate interests. It's been that way forever, even since the so-called "Good War", aka World War II. For example: we firebombed Dresden, a city that was all civilians, had no military value, and was nearly twice it's population with innocent war refugees. We dropped nukes on Japan, even though they were in the middle of deciding their terms for surrender.
Fuck America. I'm ashamed to be a citizen.
OneEyeOctopus 11 months ago 2
@OneEyeOctopus A very interesting point of view dear octopus... Actually I have never though deeply what the allies did in Dresden during the so called "Good War". US nowadays just pretends power and global hegemony and that's way US spends every year about 650 billion dollars on military expenditures, seven times more than China and twice the total of European countries!
jfolpf 11 months ago
@OneEyeOctopus Sounds like you didn't quite get your history right. You watch too much news :) Dresden Had military value, look it up. Japan was not going to surrender. The people were completely indoctrinated and the leaders were too swept up in believing their own lies of success.

And then Rambo shows them how Americans fight by throwing this guy off a mountain. End of the war comes soon after.
p51spittinnails 1 year ago
@p51spittinnails I don't care about those parts of the movie... the essential message is on this part of the movie published here. The Afghans wil always fight for their independence
jfolpf 1 year ago
@jfolpf First off, the Taliban is not Afghanistan. They are IN Afghanistan but they corrupt it like a cancer and terrorize the good people of the country. There is a difference between being in Afghanistan and being in the Taliban. Second of all there is no second point because the first one is the only truth that needs being discussed here.
p51spittinnails 1 year ago
@p51spittinnails I might agree with you when you say that Taliban is not Afghanistan, but what I try to mention with this metaphorical video is that US in the 70's actually supported Talibans and on that period US demonstrated Talibans as being the humble free-fighters for the sovereignty of their homeland. 30 years have passed and now they're terrorists. Is not that paradoxical?
jfolpf 1 year ago
@jfolpf I see where you're coming from. However the U.S has technology that Russia did not have in the 80s when fighting the taliban. GPS gives the battlefield a whole new perspective and will be the primary instrument in eliminating the Taliban. As for the U.S supporting the Taliban it shows how fickle politics can be at times. So yes I would say it is paradoxical.
p51spittinnails 1 year ago
@p51spittinnails It does simply show how volatile and incoherent US external policy is throughout time

p51spittinnails 11 months ago
@jfolpf We're still going to win ;) Then the good people will be free.
p51spittinnails 1 year ago
@p51spittinnails Will you win? Maybe not, because guerilla fighting is quite different from the typical war scenario. And who were the good people during the red army invasion of Afghanistan?
jfolpf 1 year ago
@jfolpf Those fighting for Afghanistan against Russia were not the same people that are fighting the USA today. Yes, some may be conscripted by the Taliban for duty or may volunteer through a disillusioned mentality of defending their country. However, the Taliban only began their rise to power over Afghanistan in the 1990s and i do not believe most people know that. They are not some age old regime that has held Afghanistan for hundreds of years.
p51spittinnails 11 months ago
@p51spittinnails For the Afghans there is no difference if the invader is US or SU, it is anyway an invasive empire which pretends to remove the sacred sovereignty of the Afghan people. There is no difference in the type of guerilla nor on the social extract of the population which fights the invader. SU then, and US now, are both invaders on one sovereign country!

@jfolpf americans arnt trying to take afghanistan, The usa wants the taliban out, They are a threat to the usa. The usa would leave tomorrow if afghanistan became communist or a dictatorship. Which the usa dislikes both. As long as they dont bomb europe or the usa.
meronmotors 1 year ago
@meronmotors Dear sir, didn't talibans bomb many soviet union cities during the war against the communists? Weren't they supported by the americans? I am Portuguese! How many Portuguese citizens were killed by the african guerilla supported by US during the cold war? The Taliban were never a problem or a threat to US, as was not either Saddam Hussein! US simply wants to lubricate its huge and tremendous war machine and the Taliban are just the perfect target
jfolpf 1 year ago
yea I understand how they were used as a buffer for the (then) upcoming war with russia. Times have changed the Taliban took power fucked that whole thing up and again are being used as a buffer by iran. screw the taliban infidel is how i roll. your metaphor is a bit ignorant.

It is always this same argument. But a nation doesn't win wars by how much enemy it kills, but by completing military objectives. Killing talibans isn't completing military objectives.

the1stneogod 6 months ago
@jfolpf Actually they fight to repress the Afghan people. They burn down schools, kill and dismember other Afghans just for voting, throw acid at crowds of young girls, blow themselves up in populated areas, kill tribal leaders who refuse to cooperate with them, as well as their families, don't allow people to learn to read so that they can teach their own twisted and hate filled version of the Quran, the list goes on. Oh and this is just my personal experience. **** the Taliban.
the1stneogod 6 months ago
@the1stneogod And during the invasion of the Red Army the list was not the same? You americans are so hypocrite and paradoxical
jfolpf 6 months ago
@jfolpf Well during those days the Taliban did actually fight for the people, but since my comment was clearly in reference the modern terrorist regime, I stand behind what I said. Nice choice of some big words though, even though your grammar was a bit off. Oh by the way I know for sure that someone will reply with a America sucks speech, so I'll just say thank you for being the weaker man in our argument. Americans are proud but not hateful, unlike you.
the1stneogod 6 months ago
@the1stneogod first of all... I try not to be hateful and I defend a better world for everyone with peace and tranquility. But I strongly insist, the so called free fighters during the SU invasion are now the terrorist. They haven't changed a tiny thing. They have the same costumes, the same beliefs, the same culture and the same goal: to expel the invaders. Take care and reflect dear Neo God
jfolpf 6 months ago
@jfolpf I agree. But only if you make it a democratic country with human rights & free speech etc, Afghanistan will be an extremely prosperous country with all its natural resources & hard-working people.
1vkoz 5 months ago
@1vkoz I completely agree with you
jfolpf 5 months ago
@jfolpf I'm not saying the U.S. is perfect because i read further into your comments, but the Taliban is not righteous gods as you think. The Northern Alliance(most of them Mujaheddin we funded in the 80s) has good example of of caring about their own people.
If we turn Afghanistan into the democratic with human rights, it will be prosperous but i don't think it will be. Afghanistan HAS NEVER been stable society since Alexander the Great. It was a group of tribal religious warfare.
Hperman09 5 months ago
@Hperman09 you picture Talibans as being very diferent from Mujaheddin. And there aren't such differences as you want to praise. Both have a Muslim doctrine, Mujaheddin during the SU invasion already forced women to use Burqa and Mujaheddin didn't have any respect for human rights as they also forced kids to bomb themselves agains russian troops. But during the SU invasion, US external policy pictured Mujaheddin as the free fighters. Remeber that Mujaheddin were supported by Saudi Arabia.
jfolpf 5 months ago
@jfolpf can you reply to my PM message that i sent you? About iraq violations.
Hperman09 5 months ago
@jfolpf The Taliban didn't even existed until 1994. Most freedom fighters were fought against the Soviet troops in the 1980s were the Mujaheddin and they least attacked Soviet military targets. And Taliban "fight for their freedom and for the culture of their own people" by forcing women to wear Burqa, not allowing most Afghans to get a decent education, and blowing up kids who were trying to get a good education what NATO is trying to build is a great way of fighting foreign resistance.
Hperman09 5 months ago
@Hperman09 US external policy is the biggest paradox Man has ever created. US just needs to oli its military machinery and finds purposes every were
