This was the scene that made me love Lightning as a character. I know, I know, it's weird. But somehow, hearing her say "Worst birthday ever" made her a whole lot more human. Before then, I'd seen her as this cold, too-cool-for-you character with not much humanity. But then, we get this sad, very human moment with her (not to mention the subsequent moments with Hope, where she reveals even more of her character). And from then on I loved her! <33

@HyperSonicSquall You missed the part about being-a-bitch being her biggest character flaw. If characters didn't have flaws, they'd be boring. I do get what you're saying, she's not my favorite character, in this specific game I much more prefer Fang, but she's not as horrible of a character as you're painting her to be. Yes, she has a flaw. Everyone has one. The whole game is about her attempt to overcome that flaw, for god's sake.

if it was an actual flaw than it would cause problems for her within the game. I will agree that there are a few instances where her cast mates shake their heads at her attitude, but it never once hampers her. She's never abandoned, never without the aid of her fellow rebels, or really left with the opportunity to really look at herself.

It's more bad writing than anything else.

Lightning is referring to how mad she is at Serah and Snow. Knowing her, she probably feels like stabbing Snow. The fact that Serah gave her a knife is "practical" for her, it's what she "needs" to get out her anger or let others know her anger.
