  • I remember this number as the one that non-disco fans loved. Even fans of Black Sabbath and/or The Ramones dug this one. Maybe it had something to do with the mention of a 'steppenwolf' (conjuring thoughts of John Kay's hard-rock band and the novel by Herman Hesse). Maybe it had something to do with that great bass line. Whatever the case, it was--and still is--a great track.

  • When it's one of the least known Boney M tracks then I can say, thank goodness my mother had it on one of her tapes or else I would never have discovered it. I was actually browsing her old tapes for another Boney M track but found this one instead and decided to give it a try.

  • What is a Steppenwolf anyway ?

  • @BigusDicus1000 It's a german word and if you translate just the term itself it's an animal, a wolf living in the steppes so I guess some kind of dingoe or coyote. But from the whole songtext I would rather say that they are relating to the book with the title Steppenwolf (written by Hermann Hesse) where the main character was a loner just like the previously mentioned wolf.

  • One of my favourite song by BoneyM. still the best.

  • Quality

  • Boney M, was one of the most loved group in the 1970's in the islands of Seychelles just as Abba was. I now remember this song and had forgotten about it. Thanks for the post
