It's kinda a sad fact, but many people place celebrities on a pedestal and look up to them. So if using celebrities in a campaign is gonna get the attention of even just a few more people, I say go for it.

NZ generates most of its electricity HOW, Orangutan? Here's the quote from Wikipedia.

New Zealand generates more of it's electricity from coal than hydro. Coal is a major export of NZ to Australia and China. There are realities that people in NZ need to understand. If the majority of clothes the beautiful Lucy & Robyn are sporting in this video are made in China, and China uses NZ coal...doesn't that make coal sexy?

chillyplasma - why if someone is opposed to mining should they not respond to the governments request for input on their plans for more mining? Those plans are real my friend and if we do nothing now that just means more mining messing up the place down the track. Awesome clip!

More or less valuable conservation land is not just an abstract concept, it's based on ecological factors regarding the importance of the habitat it provides relative to the survival needs of the species which need it. I disagree that you'd go backwards before stopping what's happening now, otherwise you're just chasing mistakes forever.
