  • Lol, my birds looks EXACTLY the same!

  • Pikachu? is that you?? WHAT HAPPENED! YOUR A BIRD!... oh its Tu Tu... phew o_O'

  • HA...my male tiel is calling to her.

  • A Wild TuTu Appeared!

    Escaped Safely...

  • she wants to mate loooooooooooool

  • she's beautiful ^-^

  • Im positive she is female, although shes vocal she is behaving like a female when they are "courting" which is inviting to mate. She demonstrating EXACTLY what females do when inviting someone to mate. Two of my females do this and actually squawk, its the female version of singing, its all part of courtship.

  • @Cockatielcutiepied I heard the it's the MALES with that red cheek patch.

  • @Calliope334 Cockatiels aren't sexually dimorphic, so it's not guaranteed that the males will always have features that the females don't have. I have a female that looks similar to this one. Definitely a female, she lays eggs. I think the only exotic birds like that are Eclectus Parrots. Males will always be green and females will always be red.

  • @Cockatielcutiepied I have a female the looks exactly like her and she makes similar sounds, not usually to me but she has a thing going with my parrotlet so I hear all kinds of mating noises lol. Is she young? Once she starts randomly laying eggs you'll know for sure lol.

  • thumbs up if you know she wants to mate lol

  • @Testiculatorz Lmao xD

  • POKEMON ITS A TuTu!

  • I'm pretty sure that's a boy/male cuz of its cheeks and only boy cockteils talk not girls.he's so cute i have a baby boy cockteil his barely 3 months his name is Noah

  • @03070881 female cockatiels squawk, its the female version of singing, which is part of courtship, the way shes behaving with the noises is exactly what they do when inviting to mate. Its absolutely normal for a female to do this, its way different to when males sing.

  • i have the same cockatiel, its 6weeks old =], is your one a boy or girl?

  • @dogus194 "FEMALE cockatiel saying her name "

  • Looks more like shes asking for some sexy time at close to thend end of the video.

  • My cockatiel has a very similar name. Chu Chu. She even says it once in a while. :)

  • @BCSpore Awww a cockatiel I had when I was young was named Chu Chu....'cause my dad collected trains and Chu Chu used to go chu chuuuuuuu lol. The two I have now are named Dewey and Scarlett. "I love them so much, but Chu Chu was a good bird too.

  • hi, i do agree with the others that it's "tweet tweet", however, may i point out that your bird is more likely to be a male, as female cockatiel's rarely talk, males talk, and do a wide range of whistles, to impress a possible mate. Thank You, awesome bird :)

  • Asshole. that's a generic cockatiel call noise.

  • tutu."fuck me!!"

  • Cockatiel's thoughts: ..." I got the dumbest human ever..."

  • Comment removed

  • Human: " ... Tu-Tu..."

  • Cockatiel: ...it is T_W_E_E_T- _T_W_E_E_T....

  • Human: "Tu-TU"...

  • Cockatiel: ... T_W_E_E_T- T_W_E_E_T_"....

  • TWEET_TWEET, not tu=tu

  • cute bird.

  • how did you trained a cockatiel?

  • Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww

  • Omg my cockatiel said "tutu" after 15 seconds!

  • going by feathers it looks like a male not a girl n color of cheeks n crest. u might wanna look into gender testing it if u want to know. i had my cockatiel gender tested threw its breast feathers cause we thought he was a girl to n turns out he is a boy lol

  • no offense but i think its a boy did you chek the tail feathers if you look on its underside there should be bars running down if not its a boy

  • @epicparker45

    NOT ALWAYS!

  • i hear parakeets<3

  • my cocktiel died today and i am sooooooo sad im even crying right now

  • awwll soo cute :0) I have a cockatiel named Brat, she isnt mean anymore but she used to tare the crap out of my hands.

  • omg i thought you named it Titu because my cockatiels name is Titu !

  • @bearhugger345 somtimes just whistle or play vids of other birds

  • How can I teach my female bird how to sing or talk or even whistle ?? It'd be great to hear her for once :P

  • Its sooo cute! xD

  • OMG same as above!!! (dharmasdad)

My cocatiel said tutu right as the video started!!!!

  • Wow... i cant imagine how hard it was for you to teach her this. Feminine animals are more... wild to say the least, always been always will be and they are harder to get to learn stuff than muskular... So kudos on that friend.

  • cute lutino cockatiel

  • that bird looks the exact same as mine :O

  • have the same bird her name is CoCo ;O cuz of her feathers

  • so cute ^______^

  • It´s obviously a pokémon

  • @CanalTal Yeah it's a flying/fire pokemon!

  • @CanalTal lol

  • wow! sure it is a female? that is great!

  • dumb and attention seeking.

  • @ihasacaty at first he is but then the bird takes over at :11

  • obiosly u are sayin it behind the camara

  • @ihasacaty obviously you don't know how to spell and you're uneducated. For an animal to say something, it needs to know what you want it to say. So, you say it to them. It's chirps are it talking. <: Dumbass.

  • @yeslyandmarla oops i forgot to mention that if it's a silver, neither the male or female have orange cheeks.

  • @yeslyandmarla they all have orange cheeks. in a normal grey variety (which this cockatiel is NOT), the female's orange cheeks are a little harder to see than a male's, but are still there nonetheless.

  • what a sweetie :)

  • tu tu.... (bird) im ignoring youuuuu!!!!

  • Cheeks don't necessarily determine the gender. I had a gray cockatiel who facially looked like a male, fully yellow face and crest with bright orange cheeks (although it did have the barred tail feathers of a hen.

  • oh my... people can't get it through their heads... its just hard to tell whether birds or female or male... i see a lot of arguments about cockatiels gender... i believe shes a girl :) the owner knows best especially when it lays an egg lol boys can't lay an egg now can they ? lol

  • She is only imitating your "chirp" sound. Female Cockatiels do not tallk.

  • 0:51 SHES GONNA FART!

  • for those wondering i have owned cockatiels for the past 10 years and i have talked to numerous breeders and proffesionals the only way you can for sure tell the gender in a cockatiel is by getting it dna tested, or by waiting until sexual maturity which can be about 3-4 years old for a cockatiel. i have a true breeding pair 1 grey with a yellow face and 1 yellow(latino) her fave and head are just as bright if not brighter than his

  • Sounds like you have finches in the background :)

  • Do female cockatiel have lots of red cheek or the male has

  • I am pretty sure you are right. This is a female, i can tell because her cheeks arent that bright but just to make sure does she have spots under her tail/wings?

  • @lolipopteddybear7

You can't really do anything when an egg cracks or breaks that happened to my birds eggs ... Sorry to say but it probably wont hatch

  • Haha, I Have A Lutino Cockatiel Called Tutu too :D

  • Tutu is adorable! And it does sound like she's trying to say her name.

  • I have a bird named TuTu too! But its a grey pearl. :)

  • i think its not talking its just horny...i have female too and when it gets horny its standing like that and making same sound if you touch its upper back..you will see that it will cntinue to make same sound

  • Tutu has beautiful feathers :D she's so pretty.

  • About 30 seconds in my Cockatiel looked up and said "TuTu" =)

  • @DharmasDad

    lol! thats pretty cool!

  • this is a female because its orange sports r light

  • k plz answer why did my cockatiel broke her eggs i have asked this question like 2 times no one answered me so plz help what should i do help plz

  • Give me head scratches!

  • this looks exactly like one of the birds i have

  • Pretty!!

  • this is MALE cockatiel NOT FEMALE!

  • wants to mate with you

  • It's a male because the crest is very long. Females don't lower their crest unless they feel threatened.

  • @Gabyhipnotic You're wrong. I've a cockatiel lutino female and she looks exactly like tutu. (Anyway, if tutu laids an egg, it can't be a male ! xD)

  • male

  • she's saying youtube :D

  • damn, everyones cockatiel is kind and sweet, but mines a fucking devil

  • Everybody, this is a female. Lutinos don't usually talk, since I own one as well. If they lay eggs, it's a girl. It's not a boy, birds aren't gay.

  • @Clover2247 They are gay bird xD But the fact is that female lay eggs, male don't ;)

  • with Lutino cockatiels the only colour difference between males and females is the 'bars' that the females have on the underside of their wings. I'm pretty sure non of you people saying 'That's a male' can see under her wings so maybe you should all rack off.

And females CAN talk, they just aren't as prolific at it. Male OR female could whistle this birds name.

  • she's so cute,i have a male lutino just like her...hey how do u keep dat bird so clean and shiny...i mean my birds feathers r turning grey from white...no matter how many baths i gave him...the dirt wont cum off...he was dirty when i bought him...n e tips on how to get his feathers nice and clean...widout harming him?

  • female cockateils dont talk so it must be a male

  • i have the same bird ass that

  • Drives me nuts when people post saying a cockatiel is not the sex the owner says it is. People, only the "normal" grays are easy to sex visually, and even then you can get fooled.

    She's a cutie :)

  • @galanie I agree with you...

  • Cutie

  • cute cockatiel! visit my channel to meet mine! :)

  • looks just like the egg laying female I have, only she doesn't talk

  • you can usually tell by about 8 weeks. If it is male, it will begin talking/chirping a lot around this age, maybe earlier

  • i am a breeder...

  • this cockatiel looks like a male... not female.. :/ jus saying...

  • it is a female cuz i have the saem same one and it a girl

  • the birds name is tu tu thats pretty easy to say for a bird... it jsut needs to chirp

  • Cool! I have a cockatiel with exactly the same colouring =D

I'm still not sure if its a female or male yet, though =\

  • this is a male cockatiel :|

  • it's a girl. i think before in a comment she said she fond a egg in cage. also a some percentage of female cockatiels CAN talk

  • i though female cockatiels were grey with a light grey/green face? :l

  • Comment removed

  • Generally, a female cockatiel doesn' talk unless there's a strong bond between her and the human, and usually the only bird of the house. Some birds are just more vocal because of personality. Females do talk, I have 2 cokatiels, male and female. The male is more vocal, but she has her times lol

  • On second thought, though, males usually have the white stripes on their wings. This bird seems generally quiet, so who knows.

  • He looks JUST like my bird lydia! Lydia is the nicest bird you can find

  • awh. leilu can say "leilu" and "prettybird" he is a male tiel. and i do tink tht both male and females can talk just one is harder to teach then the other maybe?

  • Females do not talk thats a male i have a male and 2 females and only my male talks

  • That's true. Females are naturally quiet; males are the ones who usually "talk." Males are known for having the rosy cheeks too. Females usually have gray stripes on the underside of their tailfeathers, but I didn't see any. The only way to be absolutely sure is to do a bird DNA test, which is very expensive and somewhat moot. If you say the bird's a girl and treat it like one, then it might as well be.

  • hey love tutu

  • I love how Tutu says her name!!!

  • I love how Tutu talks. Soooo cute!

  • We have both, male and female, and they both sing and whistle the same way. Take a peek at my vid. The one that sings there is a female. And the male sings exactly the same way (just not on this clip). They do copy eachother and sometimes are both singing at the same time.

  • ithought it was only males could talk but they both could sing and whistlw

  • yeah everyone is saying that females cant talk but i dont think so this video is proof

  • yeh only male's can sing , our local breeder told me

  • very pretty!!

For those who doubt the birds gender;; Cockatiels that are a mutation/colour other than the typical yellow and gray, visual sexing can be very difficult. Relying on the brightness of the head and cheeks is no sure way to determine the sex of a cockatiel.

Females can talk and sing just as much as boys can, if the time and effort is put in to teach them! I am a breeder, and I have a four month old cinnamon chick that can say "hey" and is trying to piece together "pretty girl".

  • Pretty

  • i have parrot just like this one ... his head is yellow, can you please tell me is it male or female ??

  • yes lutino are the yellow ones....I have owned cockatiels for a while and can definitely tell from the calls its doing and how it looks especially in the head/cheek area...definitely a female! :)

  • not if its a lutino, her cheeks arent bright red looks more like a orange color

  • jaitodd...this is a female. I had her for at least 3 years alone and I came home one day and there was an egg in her cage, so it is a female. :)

  • your bird is beautiful i just rescued one actually so now i have 3 males and 1 female all 3 talk like little chatterboxes and the female spends her time in her box my white pied male is actually in the box alot too they um had eggs i have one baby cockatiel in there its adorable watching it grow is magic it came out smaller than its egg by the end of the day it had feathers and was bigger than its egg

  • you tell him yo >.> lol

  • @sexyfufutoo lol same with my bird we thoiught it was a male for like 3 years then we saw an egg in his (now her) cage

  • @sexyfufutoo

    maybe its a shemale? :p

  • @sexyfufutoo wow really :D

  • lutino cockatiels are different. You can't be sure of their sex unless you do a blood test.

  • no thats a female there hard to tell if they have the recessive pied trate i have to pied 1 male one female both have yellow faces....that is def a female males have spotted wings and females have solid colored wings females can talk but not very common nor is it usually clear my female talks like that whenever the male leaves

  • @jaitodd actually the propper way to tell is that females have stripey tails and males have black or dark grey. also this video is rubbish it's not saying it's name it's just goin tweet tweet

  • @michelangelo466 lol, your comment is rubbish. visual sexing is not 100% accurate, it depends on the color mutation plus, when the bird lays an egg, it is pretty apparent that she is a girl.

  • @pengeralus o well done what a great comeback. also duh of course animals are girls if the produce offspring. also my entire family have animal degrees and also i have lived with domestic animals and cockatiels since i was born so i do know somethin.

also that bird is not sayin it's name cos my tame cockatiel does the same thing

  • @jaitodd my birds, just like this and its a female, but its a darker yellow i guess

  • @jaitodd the only cockatiels that you can tell the sex by the color are the gray ones, all the others need to be sexed by a veterinarian

  • @jaitodd There are only 3 good ways to tell if a cockatiel is a male or a female.

    1. Blood test

    2. Wait until it lays an egg

    3. Pick it up and hold its wings down with your hands. Males are usually calm about that while females tend to squawk their heads off. =^p

The egg is the only test that's 100% accurate. Males are also more likely to sing and talk, but that doesn't mean girl birds can't do it. ;^)

  • @ChaosRayZero my male screams like a little bitch when you hold his wings and my female just lays there with not a sound. my female also whistles and sings. and yes, both birds are the sexes i have stated.

  • @nightengaleprincess

That's what I said. =^p The only 100% accurate test is to see if the bird lays an egg. Just because females USUALLY don't sing or talk and are USUALLY fussier doesn't mean that applies to them ALL. ;^)

  • @jaitodd Cockatiel lutino are yellow (limit white) with yellow face. There are no physical differences between the male and the female lutino ;-)

  • @jaitodd she looks like a lutino, so she has a bright face like a male. i have a all yellow lutino with bright orange cheeks

  • @jaitodd no cockatiels come in a whole bunch of different colors and she gave u proof that it was a girl

  • @jaitodd i also have a female cockatiel that has succesfully bred with a male.. her head is the brightest yellow possible with a bright orange spot.... its insulting to a lot of people to think that you know more about their own bird than they do

  • @jaitodd female are not supposed to be black or gray STUPID!!!!!!

  • @jaitodd Yeah, if it's a normal grey-variety cockatiel, but lutinos like this one usually look the same, whether they're male or female.

  • I Like the colour of her and im getting a cockatiel in June and its going to be a boy and im getting it like her i hope if theres some still there.X)

  • hey what colour is TuTu - is she a pied 'tiel - i'm getting one for my 14th and i want one thats a similair colour to TuTu

  • she's a lutino. pied cockatiels have random grey splotches on them.

  • That's a lutino cockatiel. They're usually white and yellow. I had 3 of them. One of them was special and had light grey eyes :]

  • cute ^^

  • Ok....maybe the other one laid the one egg....so far I know females are gray on the head and not yellow...oh well, who knows

  • tutu!! :3:3:3 so pretty and talented ^_^ she looks exactly like my baby girl

  • hahaha ''tutu'' it says . very cute

  • u can only cause she laid a egg???????I want to know more about ur baby cockatiel or grown up cockatiel

  • I'm not sure what your asking but this is definatly a female cockatiel. She laid an egg last spring and males tend to whisle and are louder, she is a pretty quiet bird. My males seem to whistle at her and do their male stuff so that's how I know she is a she. I belive she is about 3 years old. Her name is tutu

  • @sexyfufutoo she is most probally a lutino cockatiel, hense y she looks like a male. i have a female that looks just like urs. does ur gorgeous girl have red / dark maroon eyes if she does then she is definately a lutino

  • she's gorgeous!

    i have 3 cockatiels

    male. Barney 3 years \

    Females. Elsee 11 months

    and little Boo 3 months

i really wanted that colour =[

    but i got cinimon instead!

    tu tu is great =D

    xx

  • cute as! love you tutu :) i love birds

  • so cute

  • thanks

  • @sexyfufutoo I have a female tiel and her name is Tootchie and we call her Toot Toot, lol. She has a yellow face and talks and sings all the time. @Jaitodd I know one thing, tiels come with their own rules so you can't say only males do this and only females do that. Whatever their personality is that's what they do.:)) You can't base a standard on any animal, they will surprise you. Back @Sexyfufutoo TuTu is very pretty :D Thanks you for posting.

  • all lutino's have visible orange cheeks on their faces.unlike the other breeds.

  • tahts a male bceause males have the orange thing on their cheek anf females.

  • It's a female because she laid an egg all on her own. She doesn't whistle either and shes quiet as females tend to be. :)

  • @alfonso908 lol... so do females... haha for everyone saying that this is a male because it has a yellow head, or orange cheek or whatever.. this is a LUTINO cockatiel. Lutinos lack the grey pigmentation and they ALL have bright orange cheeks. male or female. .but. most lutinos are in fact females.. males are less common in the lutino colouring.. plus she laid an egg and it also looks very much like she is hen squatting.. (about to present herself - which they do to favoured humans!)

  • i wuff tutu (:

i rated as many as i could.

you have lots of vids on the birds.

    how many is that now?
