  • I get the impression the same people keep bringing up the Asian thing?

Notation & piano was invented in Italy, Beethoven & Mozart the genius was Austrian, Franz Liszt was German-Hungarian mix. China had a closed-door policy to the West until the mid-19th century. They are just latecomers trying to catch up. Famous musicians Y-Y Ma, Yundi, Li & L. Lang didn't appear until the 20th century.

The stereotype came from the Jackie Chan remake of the movie "Karate Kid"?

  • fuc*ing genius :D

  • sheet music @ sheetsearch . com

  • He's good! and he's not asian!

  • WHY CAN'T I HAVE A GRAND PIANO?!?!?!?!?! :(

  • LOL!

  • @projundertax lol :D

  • this kid is really good... like really REALLY good... but far from master... gotta luv him tho :D

  • My compositions have shifted now from ragtime to more serious works like fantasies, sonatas, string quartets, and now hopefully a symphony. I love God more than ever. Find me on Facebook, my new teacher has helped me sooo much, I sound totally different now than I did in this video.

  • Whats the first piece?

  • lol

  • He looks extremely smart! Like, sometimes when you look at someone, you can tell that they are geniuses. And this guy is definitely one of them after seeing his piano playing.

  • Shine....

  • finally someone not asian

  • @kevinandger Wow, Racism. Is it wrong being Asian or White or even Black?

    Dude, whats your prob.

  • @kevinandger YOU HAVE PROBLEMS

  • hey, brilliant work playing the piano, you have a brilliant technique. im 16 and i just finished my grade 8 exam, and i can appreciate how much pratice it takes to get to a high level. keep prasing God, you can worship him in everything you do, and it makes me think much more highly of you when i hear that not only are you a very tallented musician, but that you are able to thank God 4 it. keep up the good work,!!!

  • Could I get a .mp3 of him playing HR2? Thanks.

  • I second that!

I would love to hear the full version from this young Jaron! Very impressive! So much talent!

  • Wow, what a pleasant surprise. The Liszt is excellent, very clean and any blurring due to the pedaling is absent. He can literally take that to competition after competition and just clean house, like Van Cliburn did with the twelfth rhapsody before he went to Moscow.

I like his words a lot. He doesn't try to sound profound, but he is a developing musician. He's a better pianist than a composer though.

  • Rock on! 5/5!

  • wow Travis! Love your work man!! =) awesome! And since I play piano (professionally, for a country star), please tell Jaron that I'm now yet another fan, and I think he absolutely ROCKS!!!! =) Amazing, Jaron!! Ya'll suuuure have some talent there in the family! ;-) I'm also sitting here, Jaron, thanking God for you and the "testimony" you give my own heart of the reminder of my own need to continue seeking Him with aaaall my heart!! (Jeremiah 29:13). Nice to know Travis and Jaron are out there!

  • i want to do his hair and take him shopping!

    i love his playing still.

  • Awsome. Keep up the good work.

  • lmfao, i sure love his clothes style...=P

  • Jaron, you're a very talented and perceptive young man -- keep playing to God's glory! He does have a plan for your life and I know he must love to hear you play! It really encourages me to hear a young man like you give credit to God with such humility. God has really blessed you!

  • That photo at the end makes him look like Bill Evans

  • this kids is lucky .. he's good cuz he wants to be .. im only good if my dad wants me to be .. this dude actually likes the piano .. so i respect ur cousin a whole lot .. he is the 14 year old master .. im just 15 with a bad mouth .. just look at the comments i responded to people .. lol ..
