@ryder187mac you obviously have not seen good flying finger then... check out blastphemer, he puts out 280-290 with more power than you'd get from wrists. If you think flying finger is a weak technique it just means you whine about not having the discipline to get it down.

Not true. The "Flying" Finger technique is very powerful and reliable at higher tempos. It just takes more practice.

@zinessen Roddy was George's connection, but by no means was he his teacher in any way, shape or form. In fact, he learned much of what he knows from his teacher Yannis Stavropoulos, not Derek Roddy. So actually, no, Roddy couldn't play ALL of George's parts. Yes, I'm sure he could play some of them. But Roddy isn't as about the speed as George is, he's a little different kind of player. But that's why we like Roddy, he's his own drummer, just like George.
