@MarthaH605 The nights were chilly and the days, fairly moderate. And yes, I saw lots of animals. As a group we had a few days to take day-trips or safaris into the preserves, where we saw lots of zebra, giraffes, wildebeasts, rhinos, some lions and elephants, monkeys, families of baboons, warthogs, and various other wildlife in their natural setting. We had Tanzanian guides and drivers, and of course, did not get out of the vehicles (but took lots of photos).
This is absolutely beautiful. Came across this looking for recordings of Martin, how breathtaking to find something so different to shape note but so stunning. Thanks so much for putting this up.
Hey! They are not doing it right! They need someone from America to bring in a powerpoint presentation, a rock band, and several thousand dollars worth of equipment and colored lights so they can REALLY worship.
Amazing. It sounds African! :-)
How cool that you got to go to Tanzania. What were you doing there?

@MarthaH605 I was with a group of teachers who taught a summer English program at the school. Yes, it was amazing!

@PLBrayfield They go to school in the summer? Must be awfully hot. Did you also see any cool animals?

Wonderful! I hear someone "lining out" or at least calling the first couple of words of each line.

Wonderful. How rich the harmony and soulful tone in singing.

You are right. May God bless our nation with more people that are willing to learn to similarly worship in the beauty of holiness.
