  • A nascar weighs roughly 3400 pounds each, is that trailer really over 4000 lbs?

  • @sabgog

For hauling 2 cars weighing 6800 pounds I sure hope so!!

  • I wasn`t much a ford fan till my dad bought one of these trucks they ride smooth and have the numbers to back it up

  • why it sound like a v8?

  • The v6 sounds good on paper, but id be worried going in for maintenace since it could be quite more costly.

  • What I want to know is what oil was used during that test!!!

Does anybody know? (for a fact)

  • I really need to figure out a way to get my dad to watch this, he thinks the ecoboost engine isn't powerful enough to tow a 21' boat and here it is pulling 11,300 lbs which is more than twice the weight of a boat.

  • @johnnyo032003 A V6 Tacoma could tow a 21 ft. boat. We have a Tundra that tows a 24ft. Boat. I think your dad really needs to see this

  • @johnnyo032003 did you get him to watch it?

  • WHO DARES DISLIKE!!! must be the competition

  • I love these new engines! One question though, why does it make V8 noises when it pulls out of the pits? Lol

  • nice how every time they show the gauges, there is no milage, lol

  • what this video trying to show that the engine is really reliable and it i know for sure you wont be driving 24 hours straight at 100 mph so stop putting ignorant comments like... "100 mph is that all?"

  • and the BIG question is what was the average MPG during the testing?

  • @KendrickMcMurphy With towing it's rated max at full throttle, i would say it's nothing impressive. 5-8 mpg would be my guess. What i would like to see is what kind of MPG's would we see with no load cruising at 70mph...i know it's rated at 21 but would like to see a real world test.

  • @KendrickMcMurphy Mileage when towing will be closer to what you would expect with a standard V8. The turbos don't do anything magical, you still have to invest the energy in the form of fuel to move a certain amount of mass. What the EB mill does do is improves mileage and performance in the kind of driving that is done by most people day to day - I have an EB Screw that has put up 21.5 and 22.8 on two 300 mile trips, but mostly highway miles. Around town, I'm getting 17 unloaded.

  • I literally hate every F150 outside of the Raptor. But they've got something special with this EcoBoost. But I really feel any truck now days can do anything the others can. It all comes down to preference.

  • @iPROFITDON idk, this ecoboost has great gas mileage (for its class) can do 0-60 in 6.1 seconds (unloaded) and has more torque than comparable v8's in its class

  • 1 person....well is just a fag.

  • where is it they say that it gets better fuel milage??

  • That EcoBoost engine is amazing! and so are those turbos

  • FORD rules!! hands down!!!

  • tow something with a little more wind resistance/drag than two race cars.....try a boat @ 100mph for 24 hours

  • 100 mph is real good if you ask me. Coming out of a turn with an 11,500lbs trailer behind you ain't like doing it in a race car.

  • 100 mph??! thats it????

  • @citydriver I don't think anything you drive could haul 11,500lbs at full throttle for 24hrs without blowing the tranny, water hoses etc.. And yea this thing already had 150k miles before the run.

  • @citydriver U do realize that you can't spin truck tires that fast because of their weight, or you risk a blowout. And usually trailer tires are only rated up to 85mph top speed. The truck is surely capable of driving the whole rig much faster, but doing so for a long period of time is very risky. Imagine blowing a tire out at 120mph with a totally rig weight of probably 17,000lbs? Not good at all.

  • Wow... I think Ford will keep their #1 selling title, plus some...

  • Makes you wonder how much they could get out of an ecoboost V8?

  • @MrUpgraydde That's what I want to see. I think the 5.0L is a great canadite for Ecoboosting.

  • Can you get the ecoboost motor in a regular cab short bed 2 wheel drive truck? i know you can get the new 360hp 5.0 but not sure bout the ecoboost. if you can i bet its impressive. now if ford will put the ecoboost 3.5 in the 2wheel drive short bed regular cab ranger they will be on to sumthing!!!

  • @BLACKLACDTS

You can get the ecoboost engine in regular cab 2 wheel drive, but only with the long bed.

  • @adogg619 boooo!!!! lol

  • Is ecoboost just Ford talk for turbo charged?

  • @MrUpgraydde yupp

  • @MrUpgraydde Turbo charged ''V6''

  • @MrUpgraydde alluminum block v6 + twin turbos + direct injection = ecoboost

  • @EatmyDust1311

Um, no Ecoboost can be four or six cylinder engine which is based around direct-injection turbocharged engine technology. And not all are aluminum block.

  • @EvilxMerlin all ecoboost engines are aluminum, and the truck application is v6 only.

  • @EatmyDust1311

Ecoboost is not just for trucks though. And for now its V6 only. When the F100/Ranger comes back I'm willing to bet we will see a 4 banger in it.

  • I will be test driving a 2011 F150 soon as they are available. Hope it is as impressive as the hype.

  • I love these EcoBoost endurance test!

  • i want one

  • Ford and their Eco Boost engine are amazing
