@mazda2284 When I ran DB drags. I had a S-10 pick up. 10- 12" Diamond Audio. 5 Rockford BD 1000's. I was hitting 160's. My best was 165.5 legal, not outlaw. Someone isn't doing something right. I know for a fact Rockford Fossgate will handle 1 om. Also a 1/4 om loads with no problems. Rolling Thunder in Richmond VA. built my wall and set my truck up. you don't believe me. @bluegrasssingingman still dont matter the 4000bd is not gonna put out the power that crown will ... them crown amps are no joke and put out real world power and also do it at 4 ohm with very little THD and a high dp factor....you should know this if you know so much. just like people think the orion HCCA amps and pioneer premier amps arnt shit but them amps are also no joke. he now has 2 2500bd's and is even louder than before but he also has a new alt and more batts and new subs lol .

@mazda2284 Orion pounds hard but burn up. I seen many cook not by me. Those speakers are dual voice coil aren't they? Bd will kick them. I'd never run 18" anyways. Takes to much power. to much money, and not enough cube space in a vehicle. You can get more Spl out of 12" and 15" for alot less money. Put a BD 4000 on each voice coil of each 18." 2 amps per 18"lets see what shes got. LOL I haven't ran a system for about 6 years now. So things do change, and things i imagine is more advanced some.

@bluegrasssingingman yeah just bout all subs are dvc nowdays these were the FI BL 18'' , and for the money 18's are nt to bad of an option . figure you pay an extra 100-150$ more for a 18'' than a 12'' and say the 12'' cost 500$ already .... its much cheaper to go 18'' cuz it take 2 12'' to = the cone area , grated you have more motor but then it also takes more power

@mazda2284 Yeah I know when I competed 18" was out of this world in price, compare to 12"&15." I know then I could use 12" get more of them in my S-10. Move alot more air. Have alot more money to spare for power supply and amps. I was happy with what I had and was doing. 160's with 10 12''s. With 5 BD 1000's I wasn't complaining. I had to replace my windshield 3 times. I had a visor with lights over my windshield. SPL ripped it off, 6 base ball sizes holes. Whole new roof put on. ouch lol
