I just got the Zune HD, and I have to say, It doesn't have all the apps the Ipod does, but who needs em anyway. I got the Zune for ~$130 on Newegg, wwwaayyyy cheaper than the Ipod Touch. Also, you can tell that the Ipod is big and clunky, and the Zune is small, and sleek, and that also goes for the interface. The Zune is also much easier to use. Listening to Music is on the Zune is way more entertaining than anything on the Ipod. The Zune also has some pretty good games, especially Audiosurft.

@duckwithnukes well everyone has their own personal preferences, to be honest the iTouch is only better because it has a lot more apps and the browser is about 4 seconds faster than the Zune HD. but besides that, as an actual MEDIA player, it is better(or at least in my opinion, and experience) in relation to the screen, the touchscreen, etc and BTW you cant say its a copy of an iTouch, because then you would be saying the iPhone is a copy of the IBM Simon which was the first touchscreen phone

@microsoftaddict The iPod is better than the Zune in every way. How is the Zune better as a media player? The iPod works with iTunes, which is much larger than the Zune Marketplace. The iPhone OS is also much easier to use... and as you mentioned, the iPod Touch has the App Store.

the problem with the whole iphone vs zuneHD vs blackberry etc is that people tend to go for the iphone/touch first. apple have been pretty dominant with the ipod, and it's even recognised as a universal shape. so alot of people go for iphone without giving the other devices enough of a chance, even if they surpass the ipod range. it kinda sucks :L

I actually have an iPod and would really want to trade it in for a Zune HD. The Zune HD's hardware is much more powerful than the iPhone's. The only downside is that the Zune doesn't have a whole lot of apps yet. So really, I would say Zune is better if you want music, and the iPod touch would be preferred if you're just into apps and games.
