I used to sing this song when I'm only 10-year old girl and now that I'm already 29 it is still my favorite song...it brings back good memories during my childhood years...Thank you Conway Twitty and Joni Lee!
I loved this song as a teen, I remember one day arguing with my grandma whether there was something wrong with a father daughter singing a love song...she was bothered by it, I felt it was not different than a married woman (ie Loretta Lynn) singing with a man (Conway Twitty) who was not her husband...it was one of the only disagreements my grandmother and I ever had!! When I hear it now, I do not think of the love song aspect so much as remember my grandmother who I lost 25 years ago :)
i love this song along with all the rest of his songs, i use to listing to them when i was young and i still listin to them today, just as much as i did then,
i love this song my father and i use to sing this song together befor he passed. its a really good song. conway is another one that could sing a song to make you cry brake your heart make you smile laugh or cry.
This is the song my mum like very much ! She use to sing this song when I was small ! I like it to ! Time flies now I already 31 this song bring all my sweet memories .... ....
I miss this song when i was 3 years old...when my dad who taught me & sang together every Sunday morning...for now,,,i sing this song when i visit my dad @ the memorial park...I MISS YOU PAPA!!!
The first time i listened to this song, i felt very emotional. Because, Joni was in love with Jimmy but she was turned down cause she was under-age, but not knowing she will come of age one day, eventually she married Jimmy's best friend John. Lets all try to have true love
My Grandparents have this on record, I really played that record grey. Now I have the song on mp3 in my collection, but it doesn't sound the same without the scratches and squeeks.

I grew up hearing my mom play this song over and over again on her 45 record. She's been gone 11 years now and I'm 40, listening to this song makes me think of my mom. I can't believe I remember every single lyric to this day....

This song always reminds me of my brother Jimmy who was 15 years older than me and my hero I remember the day I was like 6yrs old and told him I was going to marry him when I grew up he just laughed at me and didnt crush my little dream...We have had many laughs over it...RIP Jimmy & Conway

I had the so called pleasure to see Conway and Loretta was supposed to be there, but had to cancel due to her oldest son passed from drowning. Well it was my time to get a piece of paper signed/autographed by Mr. Conway and when he seen that it was only a piece of paper and not an album or something else of his I had purchased he turned his back on my and walked away. I was so upset after standing in line for several hours. But you see, I didnt have any more money cause I spent it on tickets.
I am so sorry that happened to you. I can only imagine how crushed and shocked you must have been. What astounds me is "any and all" singers would NEVER be wealthy if NOT for their fans. I am so saddened to know Conway treated one of his fans this way :(
@dianainbama1986 That's sad when "artists" do that.I can see in his face that he seems like he would kinda be stuck-up&pompous though. People like Bootsy Collins, Buckethead, guys from DOWN, Bernie Worrell, etc. would never do such a thing though, because they realize that we are their lifesblood&main source of income. Plus, those guys honestly see the fans as buddies and never seem to be putting on a face face to "deal with fans."

@dianainbama1986 Man I can't spell right lol...Correction to my post about thanking everyone that has replied to me...Now I meant to say, Yes it was a really awful and rude thing he done...And I don't think he realized I paid to see him and he got his share of that money...Oh well, like I said I forgive him, cause you should do that.
