¡Muy bien! Aunque debo de estar de acuerdo en que le pondrías más gracia si hicieras énfasis en los "dynamics" como dice el caballero. De igual modo, lo tocas muy, muy bien.... Thanks for the interpretatio of this wonderful peace!
i have to say it was very good but no where near perfection. mainly because i didn't hear ANY dynamics in this piece...you played forte the entire time. the ending of this piece was suppose to be pianissimo, then 2 diminuendos xDD but i guess, regardless of the dynamics....well done :o its a rly soft piece and there's only one section of forte.
Gee, check out Wolfgang Amadeus over here. She said she wasn't using it so is it really any surprise that every technical direction isn't represented?
i'm learning this piece for my exam on the 16th september.
you know the tempo is 88 beats per crotchet?
well my piano teacher thinks each BAR is worth one beat... so she thinks 4 quavers are crammed into one beat, which is wrong (and nearly impossible)! i've tried telling her but she won't listen! lol
Very good!!! That was fast. I'm trying to learn this song, but at 0.32 to 0.35 I always mess it up lol. Hopefully during the exam this song does not fail. How long did you take to perfect this?
Very nice!!! Excellent finger placement...and tempo- I tend to smack my fingers everywhere....Lack of skill lol.... Well...I suppose slowing down at 0:11-12 a little...i think it gives the piece more feeling 0.o..Ive heard many people play it that way... But very well played!!!
Any tactics to practice this song? Such as movement of the fingers? I've been trying it for 2 days but still cannot catch the feeling of playing this song.
I am playing this for Grade 6, and I have just started this. I actually have a book full of Schubert for it though, which is harder to read. Do you suggest getting the ABRSM book for it and the other pieces?
BTW, really, really good, you are obviously skilled COUGHMOZARTCOUGH.
OMG! U completely put me to shame and make me incredibly nervous for my grade 6 exam, tho thankz cuz i now realise how much work i need to put into it!!!! FAB x
can you post a video of how to play "an die musik" by franz schubert? i love that song but no one has a video on how to play it so can you post one please?
yea... it's some really crappy cartoon about a talking pig (?!) i mean... it's a total waste of such a gd piece of music... i was like watching some kinda trailer or sth on tv in hk and the i was like wtf?
htis is the theme to a chinese cartoon!!!! i heard it at my music festival, and was like wtf???, why is a cartoon theme played at a grade 6 concert, me and my dad wre laughing bad
Hey!!! I did this for my grade 6 in May!! Nice one! What other pieces did you do?
Its excellent, though I think you need more range in dynamics. I actually play this SLIGHTLY faster than you, which is different from what you have heard. You have really good articulation and it was an WONDERFUL performance.
Wow .. I'm learning this piece right now and it seems like how I play is different sounding than how you play. It's probably I'm still playing it slowly.
I also play this piece and I think you play it very well! You're not playing it too fast, I have a recording of it from Schubert's greatest hits and it is played in 1min 44secs (including repeats!) although I suppose that IS a professional :D Keep up the good work!
I think it's good that you played it a bit faster than it's supposed to be (or at least that's what people are saying - haven't checked with a metronome!!!!), it shows you're expressing it in your own way!! great playing in my opinion!! :D
I keep listening to all your pieces on here and I just have to comment on them because they're so good! haha!
way too fast, hardly no dynamics and expression, and you have no technique. stop rushing, the examiners will probably say its ''too rushed'' and plain . no offence:)
this sounds so coordinated. I am struggling with this piece for my grade 6. I find it demanding stylisticly and get all stressed out with it! I'm playing this tune, gigue and rumba tacotta for my pieces. Have u taken yr exam yet?
i've just started this piece, and i really don't like the accidentals, it's well good though how you play it :)

It lacks feeling. very boring

some attention to dynamics would be nice and finger balancing to make the tune prominent

I liked this, although I felt quite a lack of dynamics. But that may be because I just listened to Horowitz's version. :)

I struggle with the 0:10 - 0:14 bit, and 0:21 - 0:26.

Ahh, you're in the UK? Okay, you're probably right, because Europe, (especially Russia) have a much more advanced and harder piano grading system.
thunder1909 3 years ago
No,at the end of the syllabi, all the grading systems are virtually of the same difficulty.
blackgamma12 3 years ago
Same difficulty, but higher expectations. This is because there is higher difficulty at the beginning, so pianists can play much better at the end.

This is really confusing; Moment Musical in F minor and Prelude in C Sharp Minor - those are both pieces also by Rachmaninoff ;)
Nice playing though.
Especially of the Prelude [other video =P]. I might well go out and buy some of these pieces, you make them sound really playable. =]
However, I must say, Lancashire is far better. ;) OJ
