buy il2 sturmovik 1946 and play online for free you only have to download hyperlobby. there are a couple of hundreds of pilots playing still :) ALSO check out il2 sturmovik birds of prey for xbo360 and ps3 coming out 9/8/09. battlefield 1943 for xbox and ps3 is also fun for dogfighting and its only 15 dollars. lol they should pay me.

i love ww2 style dog fighting, its what made me want to be a fighter pilot. but you can get the SAME Action as this by playing BF1942 on the Air maps, such as Battle of Britain and so forth. For FREE. but not as many people play 1942 anymore =(

That's in singleplayer jpongfani ;) In multi, if you're missing half a wing, like in RL, if your engine torque's with you, and you use full rudder, you can keep 'er airborne... but you can't manuver or usually land. In singleplayer it's teaching you accuracy to make the fast kill, and blow 'em to shreds. Taking off really isn't that hard. If you have such a hard time, leave auto-takeoff on and just up throttle. ;)
I still like Il-2 more. It's more realistic and more fun. And you can't keep your plane in air if your missing a wing maybe you can keep it straight but you can't prevent it to dive. Or at least in il-2 if you lose wing it immediately starts spinning and diving. there is no way to survive it unless you have much altitude that you can bail out. No matter how hard your pushing the stick and rudders in opposite direction it will spin.
In AHII, if you're missing a wing, you cant recover either, now a half a wing, or a wingtip, like in RL, you can recover from. As I said, with the engine torque, opposite ailron/rudder, you can keep 'er airborne. IL2's damage modeling is messed up in so many ways. I'm not sayin I don't like the game, or don't play it, but rather I like and play AHII more ;)

If aircraft going approx 300-400 km/h completely loses it's wing it goes into violent spin where it's unable to recover. It can't just fly straight it makes no. Fucking. SENSE!!!
The only AI aircraft are offline drones, and they're just in there for target practice by flying in circles. They do not fight back on purpose or even crash. They just go until they explode.
Aces High is an Online game only. Offline modes are VERY limited and not at all the point of the game.

Helps if you read the manual a little... Like keystrokes commands to start engines. This is a serious flight sim. Full flight controls are best, but mouse and keyboard will get you up there
iv been thinking about suggesting that HTC make a B-36 Peacemaker, tho its not plausable- the B-26 was HUGE and wouls lag AHII up like mad, and wouldnt get up very fast, should i suggest this? hoipefully that do, and ill make a movie with it! btw, make another one of these but more like a movie! 9 outta 10!

Helps if you read the manual a little... Like keystrokes commands to start engines. This is a serious flight sim. Full flight controls are best, but mouse and keyboard will get you up there

iv been thinking about suggesting that HTC make a B-36 Peacemaker, tho its not plausable- the B-26 was HUGE and wouls lag AHII up like mad, and wouldnt get up very fast, should i suggest this? hoipefully that do, and ill make a movie with it! btw, make another one of these but more like a movie! 9 outta 10!

it's free for 2 weeks, then it's 15 bucks a month, if you want to play head to head, that's free, but the real fun is fighting in the main areans.
