  • I always cry when I watch this video

  • I still remember the last thing he and his wife told me before they left for a show. "Eat anything in the fridge you wan't, and Jim bought some beer just for you, in the back". I house /dog sat for them sometimes when they went to out of town shows.

  • I cried.

  • I saw Jim in Oshkosh with his Pitts

    Regards from Malaga Spain

bientot 2 ans que Jim nous a quitté !!

pouvez vous me dire quelle est cette musique ???

  • What was he flying so low with fog on the ground. Great flier but what was he thinking.the agl id diffrent every where you fly.this have caused him to miss look the gound ifr gages.if it was to please the crowd, it cause him his life that day.rest in peace.

  • ground ifr gauges? Aerobatics are flown with the altimeter, airspeed indicator and thats it. You glance at your engine gauges, CHT, Oil Temp and the like. Everything that is being flown is being flown "outside" of the cockpit. Your post is unintelligent and disrespectful. Its quite obvious you have little clue what you are talking about and furthermore know very little if anything about aerobatics.

  • I would like to ask that no one start arguements in my videos. Thank you.

  • He is free as a bird now!!

We all miss u Jim with your fast flying Bulldog!!!

Very touching video and the perfect song!

Rest easy, Jim. We'll see yah' soon, buddy!

  • Fantastic Tribute, to One of the Greatist Men to ever Take to the Skies. The Airshow Community is still reeling over his loss. Jim was a true Gentleman, and had perhaps the greatist personality of all the performers Ive met in 35years of going to airshows. Thank you so much for this Video, its very fitting, I'll always think of him when I hear that song.

  • Thank you for such a great video production. I met Jim at Oshkosh in 2006. I too fly a Pitts Special and Jim was indeed the best airshow pilot. I was always concerned with the aggressivness of his routine but he flew the way the Pitts is meant to be flown and lived the life that few others will ever experience. Thank you again for such a moving video. You have some great talent.

  • Thank - you for posting this. Excellent tribute to one of the best air show pilots/showmen in the world!!! I was there, and was devastated by the tragedy. Joannie, Tommy, and all their family and friends have been in my thoughts and prayers.

  • I have watched many videos on Jim LeRoy lately and this by far is my favorite. True, Tommy will not know his Dad but the videos (like this) will show Tommy what a great man Jim was and how much he was loved. Once again thank you. I know this came from your heart.

  • beautiful video, beautiful song. It's a blow when we lose a brother, whether we know him well or not. And when he's someone we look up to.... it's that much harder.

  • Best airshow performer I ever saw, was Jim Leroy

  • Nice...I was there that day as well, up near the press stand...I couldn't believe watching someone that good pass away. RIP JIM LEROY!

  • Jim performed at Ilopango Air Show in El Salvador, Central America in 2004, awesome show!!! We send our condolences...

  • jim was the best piolt that performed every and he was so good to at what he did and I can't believe he died at the age 46 that is young and his son is going to grow up with out a dad.

  • SUPERBLY done. kudos.

Jim was an amazing pilot, and I'm proud to say an even better friend. Truly a "hero" in any sense of the word.

Thank you for doing this. It captures everything Jim was.

Best wishes and blue skies always, Jim.

  • To the people who made you want to be more than you are.

    Nice Tribute, Nice Song.

    - Rest in Peace Jim! -

  • We'll miss you Jim, thanks for all you've done.

  • Bye Jim...Godspeed and blue skies...and god be with his family.

  • Awesome video! I'm sure the family will be touched as I was. Jim traded one set of wings for another and always will be flying the heavens. He was a great man. God bless the family. I feel their loss, especially when I watch this video. Thank you for your touching video.

  • Very nicely done sir!! Saw Jim in Chattanooga in 2005, he was fantastic!

  • Very touching video. I saw him 4 times already (2001, 2003 & 2006 in Quebec Air show and earlier this year at Bagotville Airshow) He will still be missed for many years to come.

    R.I.P. Jim

  • I was shocked by his loss, he seemed all ways right on the limit - He was a master of his art, as an englishman - I admit I was in awe!

I'm sure, his true loss will be felt throughout the year, rest in peace Jim

  • :(I first saw his performance this year and thought it was amazing. Some of the most impressive new stuff Ive seen in aerobatic flight! This is sad! I was looking forward to seeing him fly again!):

  • Jim could do things in an airplane that just can't be done. His skill and engineering created a show which can't be captured on video.

The last time I saw him, it was after an airshow and we were headed for the gate. We had met earlier that spring and he recognized me and stopped to talk a minute but had to leave because he was helping reunite a lost kid with his parents. That was Jim.

Soar high, Jim, and reach out to touch the face of God.

  • I love it! He was such a great Pilot, his loss is quite sad :((
