DISAGREE! The fact that you caught up in such a short amount of time proves you're equal! Time does not factor skill v_v cause I have a friend that is an AWESOME amv maker, and my sister made amvs longer than her and SUCKS v_v though that's not nice of me to say as her sister...^^;;
I didn't say time = skill, though it helps. She DOES use her programs more effectively, such as with her masking abilities. I don't really have too much up my arsenal.
Kay ^^;; and you are a good arguer...but anyways, you do use your programs very effectively. Vegas is a hard program, and you can do so much with it. I know, cause I'm just starting to learn Vegas, and it's difficult x_x but you are both on a level ground. Each amv maker has their own style, and finds a way to hone their skills. You have a very good style and know how to use the right effects to enhance the amv. By that means you are just as good as Shado. Sames goes to you as well Shado XD
Meh, Vegas isn't as hard as people say it is. A little daunting at first, but isn't too hard to get at my level with it. I basically use it as if it was like a fancy WMM. It's an easy program to understand, difficult to master (which I have yet to do). Shado perhaps hasn't MASTERED Adobe, but still at a level that dwarfs me.
It shows XD And yeah, it's not entirely too hard, but you can do more with yours than I can, and that to me says that you are a skilled amv maker. I truly believe you both are equal, but in different ways. I don't sub to too many people, and I am known to delete subscriptions if the person is starting to go downhill. You and Shado both don't show any signs of doing that. I'm a seasoned amv maker, and if I found any mistakes, I would definitely point them out.

And you're just out of practice~ Keep working at it. You can definitely improve. I've made 80+ amvs, can't even remember now how many...and I'm still learning. That's why I moved to Vegas. I mastered WMM. There's not much more I can do with it...
My best AMV is actually on WMM (though Warner ate it due to the song being WT) and was one of my last WMM AMVs (it was actually third last, with this collab being my VERY last. I've never touched WMM for AMVing since). And I can't be out of practice because I have been making AMVs since then. I started with an AMV to The Poet And The Pendulum for a while, then stopped, then did all of those shorts.

I can go to any of my AMVs and point out at least 20 mistakes (actually, I plan to make a video that has me ranting on all of the mistakes in my most popular video since it's so eww). Hell, I can pick out MORE than 20 mistakes on my half of this AMV.
Every amv maker does that XD I still do it. The fact that you can identify those mistakes and fix them is what makes you a great amv maker. Doesn't change the fact that you are still an excellent amv maker XD
But that doesn't change things. I'm not getting better (despite the nitpicking), doesn't make me adaptable, brick wall. Knowing more about Vegas when compared to a newbie to the program isn't much (I hope you don't see any offense in that).

Perhaps eventually we'll collab again, but the issue I see is that our styles are very different and they kind of clash (especially in this video, though I was using WMM). It's like two different videos put together (not like I'm blaming either of us).
