this has put me off dealing with any inidan call centre, hell, if i buy a mobile phone, i get from licence shop, if I get call from hsbc telling me i'm over drawn and I can pay over the phone, I say fuck off, i go to the bank and pay it, this is the reason why credit card fraud has gone up, india call centres is just one major part of it.

Nasscom is giving always-good picture about India. Nasascom is a useless organization. I reported twice to Nasscom and BSA in India about a software piracy case of Bangalore and Chennai. They didn't take any action till now.
In India most of all software educational institute running their business with the pirated software. Almost all street cyber café in India using pirated Windows OS. Indian call centers and BPO s are the heaven of music piracy world.

AOL, AT&T and Fedex all have centres in India. Peoplesoft is still going good after they spun off with JD Edwards so get your facts straight. Novell, Cisco, TI has offices in India mate. This is the future like it or not. Upto you to go on about call centre failures but the IT sector is going from strenght to strenght.
