@NorthCitySider I like Lions and I Like Tigers. I like Lions better, but I'm not letting my feeling blind the reality. A Tiger would rape the shit out of a Lion. It's like a Wolf vs a Pitbull..... a Wolf would destroy it, but everyone thinks it'd be close.
To be honest, I think tigers are cooler, but I have to hand it to the lion for combat. As dangerous as tigers are to humans, lions are a whole new level of agression. They are full of testosterone and built up agression. Nothing is more intimidating than a male lion in his prime.
@Koscheck2011 Its true tigers are stronger than lions, but not by as much as u say.. a large, strong, healthy male lion could defeat or tie a siberian tiger most likely at least once or twice out of 10 fights. 3 vs 1 is a different story though.. even just the sum of the 3 would be enough but having 3 together does more than just adds their strength because of teamwork. Basicly if a lion was 2 and a tiger 5 in power, 3 lions fighting together would NOT = 6, but more likely around 15-20..
@N0thinglasts1 No a Male Lion has NO chance against a Siberian Tiger. Maybe it has a chance against an Inbred retarded Tiger, but not a Regular Tiger.
@Koscheck2011 I see.. you are very ignorant lol.. no point in argueing with you if you are so ignorant that you would say that a lion has no chance.. even a house cat would has a chance... Theres many variables that can play a part in the fight, a house cat could win if say, the tiger charges it and the tiger steps into a pothole, causing it to brake its leg, it gets up charges cat again, cat leaps aside at last second and theres a tree with a large sharp branch sticking out which stabs te tiger
@Koscheck2011 and infinitly more random variables that could cause the opposing animal to win, hell a astroid falls from the sky crushing the tiger as they fight... The point is theres always a chance that the lion could win due to many different reasons, saying that a lion will never beat a siberian tiger is totaly BS, one bad move and a lucky bite to a vital point in the neck of the tiger could cause the lion to win which isn't very unlikely. If you cant see this than theres no reason to argue
A lion's body is made for combat while a tiger is made for hunting. One on one A lion would ultimately kill a tiger. The lion's mane is ultimately the difference, the mane protects him from any type of strong bite.
every video with lions or tigers will subsequently have the tigers or lions are better argument in the comments. do you people identify with these particular animals so much that it causes these little battles? it reminds me of being in 6th grade and someone would say,"my dad can kick your dads ass" and the following type argument would transpire. the entire argument was rooted in insecurity on both parts. both creatures are incredibly magnificent in their own ways. STFU already
@whitehollow1 Tigers are heavier and in some cases (Siberians and some Bengals) stockier. Male Lion's are the tallest big cats on all fours. In length Tigers get the advantage but length isn't much.
And no other terrestrial predator can match a Male Lion's attitude towards battle. A Male lion has evolved to fight, to ward off other males, he is the Hyena killer, the royal beast.
@WaldronicTomotron its right that lions on the shoulders are a bit taller than tigers, but any other physical advantage goes to the tiger.
lions are predators like tigers or bears. ALL predators have to fight against other animals for territority, food or mating. ALL predators are built to fight, not only lions. tigers fight very ferocious when it comes to territority. plus male tigers fight very often against other males, because their territority borders at the territority of several females.
@whitehollow1 I'm not saying Lion's are greater adapted to combat than other predators, though thanks for misquoting me!
What I WAS saying is that Male Lions; as animals, are designed as body guards if you will. Their only job in life other than reproduction is to protect and defend their pride females to the death. This is against anything, in fact Male Lions fear nothing other than fitter males.
@WaldronicTomotron Correction Male Lions will defend their cubs to the death.Lioness pretty much have the Shepperd to cattle relationship with Male Lions mostly he will only defend them when their in heat and he wants to ensure he mates with them. At dinner time only cubs get the free pass to eat because they carry his genes lioness have to wait because they don't. Main goal of a male Lion is to pass his genes on not defend lioness. They pretty much use lioness for mating/food that's all.
@UgksReaper You in no way corected me. I was saying Male Lions are not used to the competition of a Tiger (which is bigger and stronger in some cases) compared to fighting with a Male Lion. For one, a Tiger's bite would unsettle the Lion as he's used to fighting with Lions of the 690 psi bites.
Male Lions WILL defend Lionesses (their entire pride), most of their time is spent out patrolling their territory for enemy nomads or Hyenas (which will voluntarily kill cubs).
@UgksReaper A Male Lion is basically a vigilant bodyguard, he mates with the Lionesses to spread his own genes and because he is stronger than rival males he will continue this right. Females get protection in return, he is the ultimate animal father, sure he may not have the instincts of a Great Ape, but a Lion will voluntarily fight to the death for any one of his pride.
They're called the king for a reason, using their manes, power and ferocity to impose dominance over the land.
@WaldronicTomotron Dude the whole big picture is his CUBS not lioness, your saying male Lions protect lioness to the death. You cant give me one situation or video where a male lion protects a lioness that doesnt have any of his cubs but is in his pride. He gets involved with everything that makes an impact on his cubs including lioness he simply gets involved, their not lioness's gaurdian angels. Lioness will mate with any male that owns the pride, Male lions are not obligated to lioness.
@UgksReaper I never said they were 'guardian angels' to Lionesses, a Male will defend his pride females to the death as they affect his breeding rights. If nomads, Hyenas or hell, radioative Jackals threatened his pride, he will fight for them, what would be the point getting into a pride, breeding once and then fucking off?
@WaldronicTomotron Like I said give proof I can give you many situations or vids where a male protects his cubs but i doubt you can give me a vid of a male lion protecting a lioness ever. Nomadic Lions donot threaten lioness they threaten his cubs and thats what he fights for not lioness.Lioness will mate with any nomadic Lion if she doesnt have cubs, lioness are in of no danger when it comes to nomadic lions therefore they dont need to be protected.
@WaldronicTomotron Trust me if male Lions never mated with the lioness's in his pride and there are no cubs whatsoever he would be way less protective and would only come around when theres a kill to eat plain and simple. Your not understanding that there whole lifestyle is based on passing there genes on and protecting those with his genes and lioness DONOT have his genes plain and simple nothing more nothing less.
@UgksReaper Are you kidding me? I DO GET their lifestyle is based around gene spreading, but you're an idiot to say his only care immediatelly after mating is leaving them be. I know cubs are more important, what i'm saying is once Male's get into a pride, they don't let anything go. They're with every member of that pride for better or worse. To say he values females as nothing more than something to breed with is ludicrous.
@WaldronicTomotron Firstly my comments have logic, yours doesnt. Secondly the fact that you turn to insulting me lets me know you are aware that you have lost the debate.Lastly iv asked for a vid of a male solely defending a lioness without cubs 2 times now and yet you haven't delivered one.You have lost....give it up.
@UgksReaper What proof? All you can do is offer me videos of Male's protecting cubs which is Irrelevant in this arguement. I called you an idiot for being so narrow minded, which in this case, you are. I am arguing, Male Lions share a bond with all members of the pride (this is why they 'nuzzle' and care for wounded/or not females). You're 'Male's spread genes in prides - this is fact' is not winning this arguement. Because i'm replying to 'their brain capacity is only enough to breed and eat'.
@WaldronicTomotron 3-4 years is more than enough time for their cubs to grow to adolescents then ultimately spread out and find their own pride like I said all my comments have logic behind. I never once stated or implied that Lion's brains are "limited to carry out basic deeds". This whole arguement was over whether a male lion would defend a lioness to the death or not it has nothing to do with their mental capacity.
@UgksReaper You are a moron, you responded to a comment I made about comparing Tigers to Lions by stating you were correcting me on something I had never mentioned, this is annoying. Secondly, I said a Male will defend anyone of his pride members even to the death on occasion. (You want proof? Have this link in my message).
Logic? Get over yourself, just because you coninuously post facts about a Male's relationship with his cubs doesn't make you right considering this discussion.
@WaldronicTomotron "Their only job in life other than reproduction is to protect and defend their pride females to the death." hmm.....now your gonna tell me you never stated that in a comment below? You have ran to lies because you know you have lost this arguement. You specificly said pride females(lioness), and not all pride members sir you have lost miserably.
@UgksReaper I appear to be ranting at an idiot who keeps coming up with fictional reasons to my comments in order to make himself right and dimine mine by saying i've lost the arguement. Even though you also ignore the fact that you're just a try hard idiot who responded to a thumbed upcomment about Tiger vs Lions by bringing up an irrelevant topic. There's logic behind that, idiot.
@WaldronicTomotron I never replied to one of your thumbed up comments the comment I replied to was before that retard. You also come up with lies to try and prove your point which is false lies lead to lies and only dig your hole deeper and thats exactly what happened now.
@UgksReaper Haha now you're misquoting me and coming up with bullshit? I said "males will defend females to the death as it affects their breeding rights". And no, two pride Males had eaten their fill along with the rest of the pride who were sitting under a tree by the bank. One Lioness was still feeding and spat in distress when the croc's got too close, the Male immediately advanced, swatting the croc's and roaring. Both signs of aggression.
@WaldronicTomotron I never misquoted you dumbass maybe you should go back a couple of pages and identify the comment I quoted you from instead of accusing me of misquoting you which I didn't asshole. I quoted exactly what you said there no hope for you. You lost terribly and have been lieing from the beginning gl in life with your lies dickhead.
@UgksReaper This discussion now, is about you being over pedantic about what I said about a Male fighting to the death over a Lioness to protect the integrity of his pride. I haven't got reports (I don't research Big Cats) I was referring to a video where the Male ran at Crocodiles feeding on a carcass when the Lioness (feeding on the same carcass) was distressed. The Male threw itself into three Crocs, granted they were on the bank and smaller than 4 meters but this was a highly risky move.
@WaldronicTomotron Firstly male Lions have been known to dominate when it comes to food most likely that male lion was more worried about the food rather than the lioness because in reality male lions run lioness off their kill countless times your comment proved nothing and only dug a deeper whole for you to bury yourself in.
@UgksReaper The very fact you keep repeating and emphasising that i've lost is just proof you're loosing your touch on the topic. You seem to have a chip on your shoulder by ignoring the original comment and going off on a tangent about Lions protecting cubs which makes no sense with what I originally said! I don't care for an idiot who pretends to know it all like you do, you can post that you won i'm not bothered if its that important to you. Goodbye moron :)
@WaldronicTomotron I've been saying you lost over and over because your brain cant process information the first time its given to you. The same with the vid I asked. I asked for it several times. So not that your brain has finally processed that you have lost and no longer remain to comment thats nice to know.
@UgksReaper You're failing to see that I know all of what you're saying, i'm not talking about what a Male Lion's purpose is, i'm addressing your comment that they don't 'care' for their pride. To say they're brains are so limited as to only carry out basic deeds, like only being capable of spreading genes, is idiotic (there it is again, huh) . They're social animals, secondly, they're testosterone fuelled animals, killing their own cubs when feeding.
@WaldronicTomotron Of course there social animals but your comment stated male lions would defend there lioness to the death which they will not ever, simply because lioness in their pride do not mean that much to them their not gauranteed to spend the rest of their life with them only about 3-4years untill they get kicked out by nomads, why would they die for someone they will only see for 3-4years then go have some other male's cubs? Thats my point which you clearly didnt understand.
@whitehollow1 Tigers aren't boxers either, a Lion's front paws and forearms have more force and power in them than that of a Tigers, because they are more prone to use their paws in combat against other males.
@WaldronicTomotron dude, i dont misquoted you. i have no reason to do it.
tigers use there front paws more often than lions. tigers strike very fast and often to the face.
and lions front paws or frontlegs have not more power, the muscle mass of lions and tigers are the same, but tigers are bigger and heavier, so they can strike with a higher power than lions if they want, but they more like to strike fast with both paws while standing on their backlegs. (lions can strike only with one paw)
@whitehollow1 No, sorry I'm mistaken, Tigers are 'boxers' int hat they use both of thier paws like sparring. They have the ability to swipe using both paws at the same time however this lacks the full power their bodies are capable of as documented fights show Tigers don't like to use strength in their spars. Moreover they use it as an intimidation game.
Lions however use only ONE paw, this packs the full weight of the Lion and is meant to knock an animal down, as used against other males.
@WaldronicTomotron fact is, tigers and lions have different fighting styles. in my opinion, the tigers fighting style is more effective (and elegant). the tiger is heavy and tough enough to take the lions strikes. on the other hand, in most tiger vs lion videos, when tigers hit the lions many times, the lions usually turn away and give up. indeed a lion can kill a tiger in the right requirments, but this is not regularly. if a bengal or siberian tiger get serious, they smack african lions down.
@whitehollow1 I don't disagree, I was only saying Male Lion's are not weak in comparison, Lion's usually back off from Tigers in a fight down to overwhelming strength not rivalled before with other Male Lions and a MUCH stronger bite force (Lion = 690 psi, Tiger = 1,090 psi).
Though there are records of Lion's besting Bengal Tigers in the ring, pit or theatrical-wise (in film). A Male Lion's rep of being ferocious is not to be underestimated.
@newnoggin2 I dunno, I don't think tigers are like humans. LIke some can just fight w/o training. I think pretty much every wild animal can fight. Most of them depend on their size anyway.
Hyenas are the true Kings of the jungle. I don't like that idea either but the Lions and Tigers are always having to "hurry" before the hyenas get there. Watch most any show about Lions and Tigers and there will be hyenas crashing the party.
The hyenas sure don't look like they are controlling anything. They are very clearly staying away from the lone lion. The only thing the hyenas finish that they started is eating. I see a lot of scared hyenas frightened of one lone male.
just like lions use muscles to fight we use our brain which has evolved in a much better way for us that we now control and have the power to change the face of the planet for better or worse
drivel eveoradam !!!!!, go and attack a lion with your bare hands, and i will prove the evolved into pussies remark...humans are pathetic & weak when they are not hiding behind some kind of lethal weapon...i dont mean to be unkind, but what part do you not understand ??? slightly off the topic now, but look at the wars going on in the world, compared to what they used to be like.. now we just press a button and drop a bomb..pussies... get it now ?
think about it...if a hyena was the same size as a lion, the lion would get destroyed... of course a lion would beat a hyena look at the size difference you morons, its not a fair fight.... at least they have the balls to fight them..20 humans without weapons wouldnt attack 1 lion, let alone a pride,, we are evolved pussies...
@eveoradam We are pussies. Be real. However I am at the top of the pussy cahin about to eat your motehr's pussy. I don't mean you of course I mean her vagina. Compared to other animals we are CUNTS. I realize I am ruling in heaven. BTW, Lion kiks Tiger ass.
@lucysilkandsatin Hyenas are are quite tough but a Lion would still easily beat a Hyena of the same size. Probably have alittle harder time of it then with Tigers though. Lion are, easily, the toughest cat.
A hyena of the same size would kill a lion, certianly a tiger too. They seem to have enough problems with them already. And they are 'almost' half as big. As the biteforce of the hyena also will double the hyena would literally 'crush' a lion with just one bite.
not exactly. A hyena has thin legs which arent as flexible as lion's legs. They just arent good for close combat for a long time. they bite & run away, while lions prefer to engage. there is also a video of 1 male lion chasing a whole clan of hyenas away & mauling a few down.
I said a hyena of the "same" size of a lion. They are merely half the size now, and their bites look rather painful to lions looking at the youtube vids. In their current size.. Imagine what would happen if you took one double the size! And if they 'bite' and run away the lion would be pretty screwed. As the bite is bone crushing, and again, in their currrent size. For the video, If all those hyenas ganged up on the lion i think it would be the hyenas mauling the lion down.
Again(you dont seem to notice!), If you take a hyena double the size! DOUBLE! As big as the lion! Things would play out differently one on one. Lets say in a deathmatch, The hyena would "probably" get a grip with their double size jaws(with double the bite force because the hyena is double the size) on the lion and crush it. I dont see how to lion could win a battle vs a DOUBLE sized hyena.
I've seen lions kill matriarchs like theyre just flies. it might be harder for the lion but it still would get mauled. hyenas just arent fit for long fighting. anyways, hyenas bite forces are exagerated beyond reason. In fact, jaguars,tiger, & lions have stronger bite forces, not to mention the fact that their teeth are much more deadly.
No, jaguars,tiger, & lions do "not" have stringer biteforces. Search and watch the "Lion Hyena tiger bite force comparison" and see for yourself. Or copy paste this : /watch?v=ByAL6vGsQL8
@Morenumbers123456789 yes, you can go to videos made by people who are biased for tigers & hate lions. these people are crazy, trust me. I know them.both the hyenas & the lions bite force is around 1000 lbs psi. it is about the same, but your are right. A lion would have a small chance if the hyena's size was double.
And yes,the lions bite would end the fight because their bite is deadlier, not stronger.Hyenas are largely scavengers, and so their jaws have developed structurally to be able to break bones.
For that, they need a lot of muscle to pull the jaws shut. Note how robust and large the lower jaw is, compared to the lion's skull.
The hyena's lower jaw bone is thicker, thus able to stand up to the greater bite force without breaking, and has more surface area for muscle attach points.
@Morenumbers123456789 well, a hyena clan is twice the size or more of a lion pride. so, that's equal to a hyena being double sized. your just fucking idiot
Are you dumb? Ofcourse its not!! Lets say if there was a python taking on an adult deer would it be equal if there was two smaller, both of them half the size of the python i mentioned going against the deer? Or if there was a Polar bear taking on an fullgrown walrus, would it be equal if there was two smaller Polar bears half the size of the other polar bear i mentioned taking on the walrus? If you think so, then its you who is "just a fucking idiot".
Yeah, it kind of is. Its more confusing to fight 2 opponents at once. from what I've seen, a hyena's bite is painful to the lion, but a lion's bite to the hyena basically ends the game. thats because of the lion's superior canine structure.
@Morenumbers123456789 Even at equal weights a lion would defeat a hyena. Why? Because lions are capable of using their paws/claws whereas hyenas are only capable of using their mouths. Try fighting someone who is using their fists and you can only use your bite and see how it turns out.
If you are a "human" and fighting someone bigger than you its gonna play it differently than a lion and a hyena. Can we take a cat and a pitbull as a example? In "my" opinion, it would even out because a hyena's biteforce would be so enormous, If you would double the size of it that it.
@Morenumbers123456789 You are missing the point. Even leopards beat hyenas 1 on 1, and they are about the same size. What makes you think an encounter against a lion would go any differently if they were the same size? The reason I say a lion would usually win against a hyena, even at equal size, is because they are capable of using their paws whereas hyenas can only use their mouths to fight.
What point am I missing? Well I think the lion would lose. If the hyena would get a grip that Is. If It does, the lions bones would crack, and It would be over for the lion. If the hyena Is double the size It would have a bigger and stronger jaw, Which would be easier to grab the lion with, It's present jaw.
@Morenumbers123456789 The point you are missing is that lions are capable of using their paws and claws whereas hyenas are not, enabling the lion to smack the hyenas' face around. Lions are also capable of leaping which would enable them to tackle. If the lion got to the hyenas' throat it would not be able to get out of it because it cannot use its paws. Hyenas are built like dogs.
And a hyena double the size would have bigass enormously strong jaw to bite the lion with. If the lion got to the hyenas throat the hyena would be able to bite it depending on how the lion has grabbed it.
@Morenumbers123456789 You think those hyenas would've killed that old ass lion? Well, maybe. But not without great difficulty. Watch my video where a single lioness beat the crap out of 4 hyenas and injures the matriarch.
I can see that but If all the hyenas went down in a deathmatch the lioness would die. But they can't risk that because some of them might get serious injuries+They're animals, they "mostly" don't think very smart. Im sure there are hyena vs lion vids when the hyena wins too, here for example : "/watch?v=KkUKIC6sZw4&feature=related" and I think you could add this to your video's name "lioness beats up 4 hyenas and badly wounds the matriarch "one at a time".
@Morenumbers123456789 The hyenas in my video did attack the lioness all at once just before they were forced to retreat, didn't you see it? They didn't want to continue fighting the lioness because they know it's risky. Four hyenas are not enough to kill a single lioness without getting some injured or even killed. The third incident of the video you posted was a previously injured and pregnant lioness getting killed by hyenas, not a healthy one. Turn up the volume and you'll hear the narrator.
No, I Didn't see it, Im too lazy to watch the whole vid. Same about the other vid. But I never originally said that a hyena stands up against a lion. It would easily lose. And as I said, fighting a couple of small ones is easier to fight than a big one. You could just kill them of one at a time. But I'm not quite sure, I may have been wrong on that.
@Morenumbers123456789 You are too lazy to sit there and watch a 3 minute video? Wow! Seriously just watch the whole video and see how the lioness handled 4 hyenas and sent them packing. You can show me videos of 15 hyenas ganging up on 1 lioness or hyenas killing a previously injured/pregnant one, but you will never show ONE incident of less than 5 hyenas killing a HEALTHY lioness.
Yes, Im too lazy to watch a 3 minute video of something I don't have any interest In and I would just be bored to death. I have better things to spend my free time with! And you don't know If I a can show you an incident of 5 hyenas killing a healty lion. If I looked around the net for a bit.
For the leopard vs hyena thing, there isn't much footage of a hyena killing a leopard, because It mostly runs away If Its gonna loose, Which Itself knows It would do In most encounters. They can take down small hyenas, maybe medium sized ones too with a little luck but thats it.
@Morenumbers123456789 You are right there isn't much footage of hyenas defeating leopards, but there is plenty of the opposite. Like I said, a leopard is like a miniature lion, if a leopard can beat a hyena then so can a lion, even at equal size.
Yes, there is plenty of the opposite because the hyena doesn't choose It's fight like a solitary hunter=the leopard, If the leopard gets injured It's pretty much over for It. Unlike the a hyena, which has a whole bunch of friends that would let him rest and they do the job. If the leopard knows It can win, It would engage in a fight. If not, then It wouldn't.
And It's mostly a hyena that would come to the leopard trying to steal its prey, not vice versa. That why the leopard Is the one deciding to have a fight or not. I don't know but "I" think that there is more cases of leopards avoiding a fight against a hyena, than engaging. Because It knows It would get hurt, or killed.
@lucysilkandsatin Hyenas have the balls to attack a lion and you want to say "look at the size difference"? Either the hyenas have balls as big as pumpkins or a brain the size of a mustard seed...and since I don't see anything on a hyena remotely approaching the size of a pumpkin that kinda narrows it down.
Is Keith David narrating this?

tiger is definetly stronger than a lion. tigers are bigger, heavier, stronger and faster.
whitehollow1 1 year ago
@whitehollow1 Tigers are heavier and in some cases (Siberians and some Bengals) stockier. Male Lion's are the tallest big cats on all fours. In length Tigers get the advantage but length isn't much.
And no other terrestrial predator can match a Male Lion's attitude towards battle. A Male lion has evolved to fight, to ward off other males, he is the Hyena killer, the royal beast.
WaldronicTomotron 1 year ago
@WaldronicTomotron its right that lions on the shoulders are a bit taller than tigers, but any other physical advantage goes to the tiger.
lions are predators like tigers or bears. ALL predators have to fight against other animals for territority, food or mating. ALL predators are built to fight, not only lions. tigers fight very ferocious when it comes to territority. plus male tigers fight very often against other males, because their territority borders at the territority of several females.
whitehollow1 1 year ago
@whitehollow1 I'm not saying Lion's are greater adapted to combat than other predators, though thanks for misquoting me!
What I WAS saying is that Male Lions; as animals, are designed as body guards if you will. Their only job in life other than reproduction is to protect and defend their pride females to the death. This is against anything, in fact Male Lions fear nothing other than fitter males.
WaldronicTomotron 1 year ago
@WaldronicTomotron Correction Male Lions will defend their cubs to the death.Lioness pretty much have the Shepperd to cattle relationship with Male Lions mostly he will only defend them when their in heat and he wants to ensure he mates with them. At dinner time only cubs get the free pass to eat because they carry his genes lioness have to wait because they don't. Main goal of a male Lion is to pass his genes on not defend lioness. They pretty much use lioness for mating/food that's all.
UgksReaper 1 year ago
@UgksReaper You in no way corected me. I was saying Male Lions are not used to the competition of a Tiger (which is bigger and stronger in some cases) compared to fighting with a Male Lion. For one, a Tiger's bite would unsettle the Lion as he's used to fighting with Lions of the 690 psi bites.
Male Lions WILL defend Lionesses (their entire pride), most of their time is spent out patrolling their territory for enemy nomads or Hyenas (which will voluntarily kill cubs).
WaldronicTomotron 1 year ago
@UgksReaper A Male Lion is basically a vigilant bodyguard, he mates with the Lionesses to spread his own genes and because he is stronger than rival males he will continue this right. Females get protection in return, he is the ultimate animal father, sure he may not have the instincts of a Great Ape, but a Lion will voluntarily fight to the death for any one of his pride.
They're called the king for a reason, using their manes, power and ferocity to impose dominance over the land.
WaldronicTomotron 1 year ago
@WaldronicTomotron Dude the whole big picture is his CUBS not lioness, your saying male Lions protect lioness to the death. You cant give me one situation or video where a male lion protects a lioness that doesnt have any of his cubs but is in his pride. He gets involved with everything that makes an impact on his cubs including lioness he simply gets involved, their not lioness's gaurdian angels. Lioness will mate with any male that owns the pride, Male lions are not obligated to lioness.
UgksReaper 1 year ago
@UgksReaper I never said they were 'guardian angels' to Lionesses, a Male will defend his pride females to the death as they affect his breeding rights. If nomads, Hyenas or hell, radioative Jackals threatened his pride, he will fight for them, what would be the point getting into a pride, breeding once and then fucking off?
WaldronicTomotron 1 year ago
@WaldronicTomotron Like I said give proof I can give you many situations or vids where a male protects his cubs but i doubt you can give me a vid of a male lion protecting a lioness ever. Nomadic Lions donot threaten lioness they threaten his cubs and thats what he fights for not lioness.Lioness will mate with any nomadic Lion if she doesnt have cubs, lioness are in of no danger when it comes to nomadic lions therefore they dont need to be protected.
UgksReaper 1 year ago
@WaldronicTomotron Trust me if male Lions never mated with the lioness's in his pride and there are no cubs whatsoever he would be way less protective and would only come around when theres a kill to eat plain and simple. Your not understanding that there whole lifestyle is based on passing there genes on and protecting those with his genes and lioness DONOT have his genes plain and simple nothing more nothing less.
UgksReaper 1 year ago
@UgksReaper Are you kidding me? I DO GET their lifestyle is based around gene spreading, but you're an idiot to say his only care immediatelly after mating is leaving them be. I know cubs are more important, what i'm saying is once Male's get into a pride, they don't let anything go. They're with every member of that pride for better or worse. To say he values females as nothing more than something to breed with is ludicrous.
WaldronicTomotron 1 year ago
@WaldronicTomotron Firstly my comments have logic, yours doesnt. Secondly the fact that you turn to insulting me lets me know you are aware that you have lost the debate.Lastly iv asked for a vid of a male solely defending a lioness without cubs 2 times now and yet you haven't delivered one.You have lost....give it up.
UgksReaper 1 year ago
@UgksReaper What proof? All you can do is offer me videos of Male's protecting cubs which is Irrelevant in this arguement. I called you an idiot for being so narrow minded, which in this case, you are. I am arguing, Male Lions share a bond with all members of the pride (this is why they 'nuzzle' and care for wounded/or not females). You're 'Male's spread genes in prides - this is fact' is not winning this arguement. Because i'm replying to 'their brain capacity is only enough to breed and eat'.
WaldronicTomotron 1 year ago
@WaldronicTomotron 3-4 years is more than enough time for their cubs to grow to adolescents then ultimately spread out and find their own pride like I said all my comments have logic behind. I never once stated or implied that Lion's brains are "limited to carry out basic deeds". This whole arguement was over whether a male lion would defend a lioness to the death or not it has nothing to do with their mental capacity.
UgksReaper 1 year ago
@UgksReaper You are a moron, you responded to a comment I made about comparing Tigers to Lions by stating you were correcting me on something I had never mentioned, this is annoying. Secondly, I said a Male will defend anyone of his pride members even to the death on occasion. (You want proof? Have this link in my message).
Logic? Get over yourself, just because you coninuously post facts about a Male's relationship with his cubs doesn't make you right considering this discussion.
WaldronicTomotron 1 year ago
@WaldronicTomotron "Their only job in life other than reproduction is to protect and defend their pride females to the death." hmm.....now your gonna tell me you never stated that in a comment below? You have ran to lies because you know you have lost this arguement. You specificly said pride females(lioness), and not all pride members sir you have lost miserably.
UgksReaper 1 year ago
@UgksReaper I appear to be ranting at an idiot who keeps coming up with fictional reasons to my comments in order to make himself right and dimine mine by saying i've lost the arguement. Even though you also ignore the fact that you're just a try hard idiot who responded to a thumbed upcomment about Tiger vs Lions by bringing up an irrelevant topic. There's logic behind that, idiot.
WaldronicTomotron 1 year ago
@WaldronicTomotron I never replied to one of your thumbed up comments the comment I replied to was before that retard. You also come up with lies to try and prove your point which is false lies lead to lies and only dig your hole deeper and thats exactly what happened now.
UgksReaper 1 year ago
@UgksReaper Haha now you're misquoting me and coming up with bullshit? I said "males will defend females to the death as it affects their breeding rights". And no, two pride Males had eaten their fill along with the rest of the pride who were sitting under a tree by the bank. One Lioness was still feeding and spat in distress when the croc's got too close, the Male immediately advanced, swatting the croc's and roaring. Both signs of aggression.
WaldronicTomotron 1 year ago
@WaldronicTomotron I never misquoted you dumbass maybe you should go back a couple of pages and identify the comment I quoted you from instead of accusing me of misquoting you which I didn't asshole.
WaldronicTomotron 1 year ago
@WaldronicTomotron Firstly male Lions have been known to dominate when it comes to food most likely that male lion was more worried about the food rather than the lioness because in reality male lions run lioness off their kill countless times your comment proved nothing and only dug a deeper whole for you to bury yourself in.
UgksReaper 1 year ago
@UgksReaper The very fact you keep repeating and emphasising that i've lost is just proof you're loosing your touch on the topic. You seem to have a chip on your shoulder by ignoring the original comment and going off on a tangent about Lions protecting cubs which makes no sense with what I originally said! I don't care for an idiot who pretends to know it all like you do, you can post that you won i'm not bothered if its that important to you. Goodbye moron :)
WaldronicTomotron 1 year ago
@WaldronicTomotron I've been saying you lost over and over because your brain cant process information the first time its given to you. The same with the vid I asked. I asked for it several times. So not that your brain has finally processed that you have lost and no longer remain to comment thats nice to know.
UgksReaper 1 year ago
@UgksReaper You're failing to see that I know all of what you're saying, i'm not talking about what a Male Lion's purpose is, i'm addressing your comment that they don't 'care' for their pride. To say they're brains are so limited as to only carry out basic deeds, like only being capable of spreading genes, is idiotic (there it is again, huh) . They're social animals, secondly, they're testosterone fuelled animals, killing their own cubs when feeding.
WaldronicTomotron 1 year ago
@WaldronicTomotron Of course there social animals but your comment stated male lions would defend there lioness to the death which they will not ever, simply because lioness in their pride do not mean that much to them their not gauranteed to spend the rest of their life with them only about 3-4years untill they get kicked out by nomads, why would they die for someone they will only see for 3-4years then go have some other male's cubs? Thats my point which you clearly didnt understand.
UgksReaper 1 year ago
@whitehollow1 Tigers aren't boxers either, a Lion's front paws and forearms have more force and power in them than that of a Tigers, because they are more prone to use their paws in combat against other males.
WaldronicTomotron 1 year ago
@WaldronicTomotron dude, i dont misquoted you. i have no reason to do it.
tigers use there front paws more often than lions. tigers strike very fast and often to the face.
and lions front paws or frontlegs have not more power, the muscle mass of lions and tigers are the same, but tigers are bigger and heavier, so they can strike with a higher power than lions if they want, but they more like to strike fast with both paws while standing on their backlegs. (lions can strike only with one paw)
whitehollow1 1 year ago
@whitehollow1 No, sorry I'm mistaken, Tigers are 'boxers' int hat they use both of thier paws like sparring. They have the ability to swipe using both paws at the same time however this lacks the full power their bodies are capable of as documented fights show Tigers don't like to use strength in their spars. Moreover they use it as an intimidation game.
Lions however use only ONE paw, this packs the full weight of the Lion and is meant to knock an animal down, as used against other males.
WaldronicTomotron 1 year ago
@WaldronicTomotron fact is, tigers and lions have different fighting styles. in my opinion, the tigers fighting style is more effective (and elegant). the tiger is heavy and tough enough to take the lions strikes. on the other hand, in most tiger vs lion videos, when tigers hit the lions many times, the lions usually turn away and give up. indeed a lion can kill a tiger in the right requirments, but this is not regularly. if a bengal or siberian tiger get serious, they smack african lions down.
whitehollow1 1 year ago
@whitehollow1 I don't disagree, I was only saying Male Lion's are not weak in comparison, Lion's usually back off from Tigers in a fight down to overwhelming strength not rivalled before with other Male Lions and a MUCH stronger bite force (Lion = 690 psi, Tiger = 1,090 psi).
Though there are records of Lion's besting Bengal Tigers in the ring, pit or theatrical-wise (in film). A Male Lion's rep of being ferocious is not to be underestimated.

Lions are at the top of the food chain for a reason. And in nature, there is no such thing as a fair fight.
intelligentjackass 1 year ago
@lucysilkandsatin Hyenas are are quite tough but a Lion would still easily beat a Hyena of the same size. Probably have alittle harder time of it then with Tigers though. Lion are, easily, the toughest cat.
jcifv1 1 year ago
@jcifv1
A hyena of the same size would kill a lion, certianly a tiger too. They seem to have enough problems with them already. And they are 'almost' half as big. As the biteforce of the hyena also will double the hyena would literally 'crush' a lion with just one bite.
Morenumbers123456789 1 year ago
@Morenumbers123456789
not exactly. A hyena has thin legs which arent as flexible as lion's legs. They just arent good for close combat for a long time. they bite & run away, while lions prefer to engage. there is also a video of 1 male lion chasing a whole clan of hyenas away & mauling a few down.
NorthCitySider 1 year ago
@NorthCitySider
Morenumbers123456789 1 year ago
@Morenumbers123456789
The only reason hyenas do as much damage as they do to lions is because they team up 5 to 1. I have yet to see 1 hyena bite & badly damage a lion
NorthCitySider 1 year ago
@NorthCitySider
Morenumbers123456789 1 year ago
@Morenumbers123456789
NorthCitySider 1 year ago
@NorthCitySider
No, jaguars,tiger, & lions do "not" have stringer biteforces. Search and watch the "Lion Hyena tiger bite force comparison" and see for yourself. Or copy paste this : /watch?v=ByAL6vGsQL8
Morenumbers123456789 1 year ago
@Morenumbers123456789 yes, you can go to videos made by people who are biased for tigers & hate lions. these people are crazy, trust me. I know them.both the hyenas & the lions bite force is around 1000 lbs psi. it is about the same, but your are right. A lion would have a small chance if the hyena's size was double.
NorthCitySider 1 year ago
Comment removed
Morenumbers123456789 1 year ago
@NorthCitySider
Morenumbers123456789 1 year ago
@Morenumbers123456789 well, a hyena clan is twice the size or more of a lion pride. so, that's equal to a hyena being double sized. your just fucking idiot
NorthCitySider 1 year ago
@NorthCitySider
Morenumbers123456789 1 year ago
@Morenumbers123456789
Yeah, it kind of is. Its more confusing to fight 2 opponents at once. from what I've seen, a hyena's bite is painful to the lion, but a lion's bite to the hyena basically ends the game. thats because of the lion's superior canine structure.
NorthCitySider 1 year ago
@NorthCitySider
You sure it was from a tigerfanboy? It would still not be the same if there was one big hyena or two half as big hyenas. Thats just the way it is.
And hyenas have larger bite force because a lot of the hyena's bite force comes from the way the jaw is structured.
They have a ridge on top of their head.
That's all surface area for jaw muscles to attach. The lion doesn't have that ridge,
it has much less surface area for jaw muscles to attach.
Morenumbers123456789 1 year ago
@Morenumbers123456789 Even at equal weights a lion would defeat a hyena. Why? Because lions are capable of using their paws/claws whereas hyenas are only capable of using their mouths. Try fighting someone who is using their fists and you can only use your bite and see how it turns out.
uglyguy121909 1 year ago
@uglyguy121909
If you are a "human" and fighting someone bigger than you its gonna play it differently than a lion and a hyena. Can we take a cat and a pitbull as a example? In "my" opinion, it would even out because a hyena's biteforce would be so enormous, If you would double the size of it that it.
Morenumbers123456789 1 year ago
@Morenumbers123456789 You are missing the point. Even leopards beat hyenas 1 on 1, and they are about the same size. What makes you think an encounter against a lion would go any differently if they were the same size? The reason I say a lion would usually win against a hyena, even at equal size, is because they are capable of using their paws whereas hyenas can only use their mouths to fight.
uglyguy121909 1 year ago
@uglyguy121909
Morenumbers123456789 1 year ago
@Morenumbers123456789 The point you are missing is that lions are capable of using their paws and claws whereas hyenas are not, enabling the lion to smack the hyenas' face around. Lions are also capable of leaping which would enable them to tackle. If the lion got to the hyenas' throat it would not be able to get out of it because it cannot use its paws. Hyenas are built like dogs.
uglyguy121909 1 year ago
@uglyguy121909

@uglyguy121909
Morenumbers123456789 1 year ago
@Morenumbers123456789 The hyenas in my video did attack the lioness all at once just before they were forced to retreat, didn't you see it? They didn't want to continue fighting the lioness because they know it's risky. Four hyenas are not enough to kill a single lioness without getting some injured or even killed. The third incident of the video you posted was a previously injured and pregnant lioness getting killed by hyenas, not a healthy one. Turn up the volume and you'll hear the narrator.

@uglyguy121909

@uglyguy121909
Yes, Im too lazy to watch a 3 minute video of something I don't have any interest In and I would just be bored to death. I have better things to spend my free time with! And you don't know If I a can show you an incident of 5 hyenas killing a healty lion. If I looked around the net for a bit.

@uglyguy121909
For the leopard vs hyena thing, there isn't much footage of a hyena killing a leopard, because It mostly runs away If Its gonna loose, Which Itself knows It would do In most encounters. They can take down small hyenas, maybe medium sized ones too with a little luck but thats it.
Morenumbers123456789 1 year ago
@Morenumbers123456789 You are right there isn't much footage of hyenas defeating leopards, but there is plenty of the opposite. Like I said, a leopard is like a miniature lion, if a leopard can beat a hyena then so can a lion, even at equal size.
uglyguy121909 1 year ago
@uglyguy121909
Morenumbers123456789 1 year ago
@uglyguy121909

@uglyguy121909
And It would be much easier to fight 3 small persons than one big super muscled dude, To me atleast.
Morenumbers123456789 1 year ago
@lucysilkandsatin Hyenas have the balls to attack a lion and you want to say "look at the size difference"? Either the hyenas have balls as big as pumpkins or a brain the size of a mustard seed...and since I don't see anything on a hyena remotely approaching the size of a pumpkin that kinda narrows it down.

@MelC54 u gotta think of it like this hyenas have packs sometimes as large as 40 individuals in the pack so they got the strength in numbers
