Dude, low mobility except in Devil Trigger? He has one of the best forward wavedashes in the game and he has a *selection of teleports*. Mobility is arguably one of Vergil's greatest assets.

You prolly already know this but just making sure, i think dantes crystal assist is better that weasel shot cuz iv'e seen people use it at the end of a combo and after it hits they use lunar phase to extend it.

Can you guys give me a hint on high to time the s. jump during the BnBs? I understand that I should do it but I'm having trouble deciding when. Is it like Dante's cancels where I have to space it out or can I just throw it out after the teleport. Thanks for all the Vergil info btw. I had no idea I could cancel like that in DT.

@SpartanInfinityX I take it you mean after Rising Sun? If so, hit H and when you see the blue flash of Vergil's Teleport, do the super jump. You should get it. It mostly requires a bit of practice, but once you start getting it consistently, it'll just come naturally.

is there a certian trick for combo from 3H to Dimension Slash? i can never get dimension slash to come out after i do 3H to pick up the opponent in the air even though i do the right inputs.

@soulreaperx7x Gotta press H after 3H into Dimension Slash. Just double tap the button, or hit H to teleport and immediately do the super.

left out ammy cold star as you can time a crossup after the first hit gets blocked...gogo hitting from bothsides. dante crystal assist isdamn near equal to weaselshot butit also gives you an OTG and lets you shain SCSS after already using your ground bounce, or SCSCSCS if you havent. Rising sun isnt bad with dante, you can teleport for a crossup then combo with jump S.vergils crouching heavy is actually his safest normal. Helm breaker is cancelable into S and specials...

Anybody got any tips for comboing with Rising Sun in to an air combo? I know people have posted before, but it is driving me crazy how much trouble getting the air combo afterwords. I can do Rising Sun, then teleport cancel with H to the ground, but I am having trouble with getting him to do the super jump to get high enough to pull off the air combo more consistently.

Oh ya, and the other thing is that Rapid Slash assist doesn't hit cross up like the normal move. It's a forward block making it way less tricky.

So a couple things I noticed that you didn't mention...Judgement cut assist becomes very good if you use a shin-ko/arthur type strategy by activating and then switching vergil out. It retains the massive size.

Im having a lot of trouble cancelling vergils "high time" into his full screen super. The teleport is always too late. Same with his shoryuken move, and if i get the teleport and can jump i only land 2 normals before the combo is dropped.

@masose8 You can actually cancel Helm Breaker in the air into one of his air specials if it's blocked. The most popular move to cancel into from HB is 236L+L because of it's invincibility frames and instant recovery on landing.

@CelticSoxTom41 This is VERY true. Search 'Ultimate Norcal vs Capcom Best Bouts: Dacidbro vs (anyone)'. Dacidbro demonstrates a fantastic team of Cap/Vergil/Taskmaster.

I think Nova,Dante,Tasky,Chris or Ryu would all make a great third member,though their position on the team is your choice. Hit me up if you need any help or want any info; I may not exactly be Desk,in terms of combos,but I've dissected every friggin character in this game and know PLENTY that not many others know.

@fingercramp, Virgil's j.M, j.H, s.H and s.S can kill projectiles if they are well timed e.g. zero's fully charged buster shot, strider's formation B shot and Dr Doom's plasma beam. He can also cut through Nova's qcf+h gravimetric pulse H(even red life one) and ghost rider's B+H(heartless spire) for a nice bnb combo :)
