  • whati s the material called ?

  • thank ou I have been tying to make a friendship bracelet and to no proveal have I learned there way,but watching your viodeo you made it easy as you went slower and showed it over a few times.

    Thank you so much

  • Great instruction video, but do you have a video that would show you how to start the tie or or know or whatever you call it?

  • Omg thank u

  • Best video!!! Help a lot

  • this vids alot better than expert village

  • Thanks! That helps alot! :)

  • That's an interesting way to do the square knot. I always do it on alternating sides. Will try it this way on my next bracelet. ^^

  • It looks easy im gonna try tonight

    :D

  • If you want beads on it, do you just put them onto the middle part and keep going???

  • how do u keep it straight

  • Do the front then back and over and over or should I say it "slower"?

  • Your mind is just slow.

  • This is horrible I can't understand it to fast

  • Very nice video, have you made a video showing how to begin and end a project?

    Thank you…

  • Thx that was helpfull its easy 

  • This braid is called a cobra knot/braid. We like using it with 550 paracord. But this was done nicely!

  • Thanks! This video was very helpful! :)

  • This was SOOOOO super helpful!!! Thanks for the video :)

  • This was so helpful, ! Whooeee thumbs up :)

  • Awesome But Cann I Use Craft Thread Or Anythinqq Diffferent Thenn This Type Of Strinq .

  • @360lovestar you can use DMCs

  • @360lovestar yeah, paracord / 550 cord

  • @360lovestar Embroidery thread isn't going to work, but you can use linen cord for a skinny bracelet like this. Doesn't stink and the quality seems to be more uniform, but it doesn't have that cool hemp look.

  • Thankssssss it was good to Watch you

  • It's was supper helpfull

  • Excellent. Easy, simple, clear. Thumbs up thank u :)

  • hasta que porfin veo como se hace el nudo paso a paso hare una¡¡¡¡¡¡

    no se habvlar ingles

    no ingles mi

    o algo asi

  • how do you do it straight ?

  • THANK YOU!

  • thanks very nice!

  • When i do mine it twists so when its finished it looks pretty awsome but i dunno how to do it straight

  • @4RACHAEL4 You switch the sides that you're tying the knot. You're probably starting with the same string each time, but if you switch it stays straight

  • @4RACHAEL4 you alternate the string you pull through

  • @princessmadison588 thank u!

    been trying to find out

  • @4RACHAEL4 you're probably only doing one half knot..not the two different ones

  • @4RACHAEL4 It sounds like you may be doing the knot on the same side each time, which is a technique that makes it spiral on purpose. To get it straight, you have to alternate sides.

  • @4RACHAEL4 Im having the same problem

  • @4RACHAEL4 yea you can do it straight or twisty. ive made pne before and the only problem is u cant take it off but it will last through the shower

  • @4RACHAEL4 make sure you alternate left to right when making your knots. if you do it continuously on one side you will get the spiral. which is a very cool pattern. and my preferred method.

  • @4RACHAEL4 Late reply, but all you need to do is alternate sides. I find this easy by making a slip knot on one knotting string (you can mark the very end with a marker, tie a bead on the end, whatever) and using this one to make the loop every time, because your strings end up on opposite sides each time.

I prefer the spiral look, and it seems to be easier to get a good spiral than a good flat stitch, but good luck anyway :)

  • OMG!!! this helped me sooo much!!!!! he only string I have is hemp so I needed some ideas for hemp jewelry!!:)

  • This is so kick ass :) I just got done making my hemp bracelet after watching this tutorial and it turned out lovely! thanks so much <3

  • sorry, i need help.. how many strings would you start with and how long? :) -selbi

  • @selbiANDjenny just depends i use 3 strings you can use 4 and 2 also when you use 2 you just fold in half and make a loop. you take some hemp and measure the body part your making the jewelry from then double the amount and cut then you take that string and cut out a around 3 times that amount 2 times. and then tie a not and start

  • How much string do you need?

  • i was in the process of making 1 then i smoked it...

  • @kickyobut4 your a retard.... hemp has no thc. no thc=no effect

  • @kickyobut4

    wow your dumb

  • @kickyobut4 Uh, why?

  • That's a cobra knot, no?

  • Can you adjust the size of it

  • Your voice sounds like my shrink's.

  • Cool

  • hey i was just board so i watched but if you people dont understand do the same thing on the left side but on the other reverse it ill just post a video maybe

  • wow i mnot retated

  • @sexielexis345 think again--^^

  • I watched 3 different videos on how to tie a square knot. This was by far the best visual. Thanks so much!

  • Finally. Someone actually explains good!

  • ready ...............i learned

  • The second step is the first step... just start with the right not the left :P

  • Good instructions :)

  • This is super easy to understand. Thanks! :)

  • IM ALLERGIC TO HEMP :( i was hopspitalized for playing with some when i was four ON MY BIRTHDAY! soooo yeah :) ur very good at this

  • Also known as a solomon bar and cobra stitch. Can be used with Paracord also (550 cord). Try doing another stitch over it going in the opposite direction, aka, once you get to the end, do it in reverse. Makes a really cool stitch. Also, if you don't alternate direction when doing the knots, you make a neat spiral design.

  • Also known as a solomon bar and cobra stitch. Can be used with Paracord also (550 cord). Try doing another stitch over it going in the oposite direction, aka, once you get to the end, do it in reverse. Makes a really cool stitch. • What a douche.. "this is your right hand knotter. and this is your left hand knotter!"

  • too slow if y ou would like to see it done faster go to OH-KA-NOI bone carving and more i will show you how to tie the square know about 3 time faster

  • Wow, thanks for the video! I had tried do square knots before and completely messed up.

  • @KBSelenaGomezFan Yes you can put beads on it (while you are meking it) ! You take the two middle strings and put them into the bead. Then keep making your thing with the left and right strings. :)

  • nice, but how do you start it?

  • @hellsinnerify to start it: at first you need two strings, then fold them in the middle, then make a simple knot and start making it! with some practice it will be very easy for you!

  • how do you end it without it looking sloppy?

  • wow that's cool! Check out my video when you get a chance ❖

  • what kind of strings do you use i tried with twine it worked but its wayyyyy to loose can you help me?

  • How do you do the beginning?

  • cannabis can make such a strong rope.

    nature's wisdom

  • @arthurude1 lol

  • pito pa todos

  • why is it when i do that knot it turns to a spiral???

  • @sarahai5 every time hes alternating the left string by going OVER the middle 2 strings then UNDER the middle 2 strings, sounds like you may not be alternating.. if thats not it and you know for sure you are alternating over and under everytime then its the string on the right that isnt alternating.. watch his right hand. :) hope this helps

  • this is the same thing as paracord braclets

  • thanx you for the video it was really easy to learn

  • I would like to use the Square Knot as closure for a bracelet. How do I end this or secure this? Would you please post a video on how to go about it? Thank you so much.

    good tutorial tho.

  • Thank you for this, every time I've done this in the past I alternate which string (left/right) I lay over and it made it twist, which still looks good but I could never figure out how to make it flat.

  • Thank you very much this helped :)

  • how do i finsih off the bracelet with the square knots?

  • Could youu add beads in between the knots?

    If so, how?'

  • nice vid helped alot.

  • if you want to know how much for a bracelet then wrap a string around your wrist three times. this will be the carrier. then take three times what you just used to wrap your wrist with for the knotters sides. same with the necklas or anything else

  • that helped so much! THANKS!

  • I want to thank you for sharing such a helpful video. I've seen at least 8 videos and I never got it right, and I'm making my bracelet right now and it's coming out perfect! Thanks a lot. (:

  • thank you so much for this. I really really need this!! thanks thanks thanks

  • Can you make a Square Knot with braiding cord?

  • best tutorial i've seen for this knot! 5/5!

  • how do u start off the bracelet?

  • you start it off with the first knot he ties in the video, and just keep alternating knots and you will start to see the pattern

  • @beachvballgrl11 put it on a clip board the knot just needs somewhere to stop in the beginning.

  • @beachvballgrl11 u start with making a loop with four strings then just follow what he said

  • Mó facinho esse nó.......

  • mo facinho esse no......

  • How the fuck do you start it man and how many strings and shit your like starting in the beginning

  • thank you so much. I have art class and we are doing this and I'm a really slow learner so I have to keep watching how a person does things so many times until I comprehend what someone is teaching me. :)

  • how do u start??

  • how do you start do u use 1 or 3 strings??

  • @ThePiggielover Use 2 strings, and fold them in half to make a loop at the top, then tie a knot. This will make 4 strands, and the loop will act as the clasp when it comes to putting it on

  • Perfect and simple explanation. Thanks!!! :D

  • Comment removed

  • How do you start it?

  • yeh, i wanna know too

  • This is how I did it: take two threads and make a sailor knot between them. Then you should be able to do the square knot.

  • je sais les faire lol

  • muii piolaa, jaja!

  • alll the string i have for this sucks assss . & looks gay cause it has gaps .

  • can u do another vid on if u want to add a bead? i think ik how to do it but just to make sure :)

  • @candycowmoo i think you just string it through the two middle strings and then keep going after you slide it up.

  • lol u usually hear a 12 yr old girls voice not a grown guy

  • thanks alot mr. mine looks really good... i was wondering why it sounded like a dude was doing this, isn't this a little girly?

  • :X:X:

  • how do i begin, whats the starting step before we tie in this pattern?

  • What type of string is good for this. I have Embroidery String is that okay?

  • right hand notter? what?

    lol

  • um. you went WAY to fast. all i heard was "left hand notter.. right hand notter". like, wtf ):

  • are you kidding me? how stupid do you have to be to not be able to figure this out.

    seriously

  • no, im not kidding you. seriously.

  • @kapez125 dont be a dick

  • en el 1:32 nosse que hacer

  • I went from the half knot twist to the square knot and it's a little bit frustrating. It will start twisting on you if you're doing it wrong. I'll have to practice this technique.

  • How do I start the bracelet?

  • @123kgo start by taking one long string and folding it in half. once it is in half measure to the size you want around your neck ( make sure to leave a little extra) then fold a much larger string in half (which will be for the knots). then put where the both fold together and tie them in a regular knot a little lower then where they fold and it should make a loop.

  • this video is very helpful...... thank you!

  • how many centre metres are in a foot???

  • paigeey01: approximately 30.5 cm in one foot, or 2.54 cm in an inch

  • thanks :)

  • you make it look so easy(: thanks

  • good

  • haha its Hemp yo its in the title

  • This is 12 strand Romanian hemp. If you can find it from Ecolution, it's the best that's out there. You can also pick it up at most hobby stores or in the hobby section in places like Wal-mart. The hemp in most craft sections is Hungarian and will be sort of coarse and lumpy...again, try to find Ecolution hemp.

  • @UtleyvilleHemp Instead of 2 strings in the middle, can u do it with 1 in the middle with 1 on each side?

  • What kind of rope it's? And where can I buy it please?

  • How much ROPE Do you need???

  • It varies from twine to twine and will vary with manufacturer and your own personal style. Make a test sample by taking 2 feet of hemp for the knotters and tie it until you get an inch of knots. Then measure what you have left unknotted and figure out how much hemp you used to tie 1 inch. Then you will know about how many feet you'll need per knotted inch.

  • if the knoters are 2 feet how long do you think the middle strings should be?

    thanks for the video!!!

  • about one foot for the middle strings?

  • @spoketoosoon99 - depends what you're making....

  • omg!!! thx sooo much i was looking for a vid to show me how to make that bracelet and i found your video and it works for me
