  • thank you so much bro! it's really worth my time watching all your videos. you are making a big difference here. thank you so so much. God Bless you! and for those people who's making a rude and negative comment about his video, YOU NEED TO CHECK YOURSELF. Peace!

  • I used to suck balls at interviews. I remember watching this in Summer 2007, and taking notes the entire way. I then applied to a very prestigious company, and nailed that interview! A year later, i applied for a higher position, again watching this video before the interview, taking notes again, and BAM, nailed that interview again!! I totally love my job, my boss and co-workers, and they like me too. Since then, i have recommended this video to countless friends and family. THANKS& GOD BLESS U

  • Do you actually trust some idiot driving around in a car to give you crucial information on interviews.

Lots of decent free information now on youtube on interviews. Dont waste your time on this Jack***.

Go to the library and get yourself a decent book on interviews. Whole shelve full of books at libraries in USA/ CAN on interviewing & self improvement.

These money grabber are all about attracting pepl to their businesses.

  • Dude, shut the fuck up and drive...

  • Visit avsaronline for more help

  • Coffee ... now that's a good idea. Wondering what Stef has to tell about interview technics. I am quite good at it, and I like to learn, because since there is a gun in the room, I have trouble finding a job, although I'm a skilled person. Anyway, straightening my back, it will work out.

  • I remember one time some manager from an unknown firm contacted me by email with interest to hire me. I asked him about the nature of the work and some other very standard questions and he replied by saying "May I remind you that you are trying to sell yourself to me and not the other way around!" What a class A arsehole!!!

  • @volcom2003 Sounds like a really good guy to not work for...

  • @stefbot Yeah exactly! It ended with me emailing him back asking him how am I supposed to sell myself if I don't know who I'm selling to and for what position. He replied: sorry I feel you are appropriate for the job. Made me realise there are some really deluded people in the world. PS Great vid Stef, helped a lot!!

  • !!yes sir thank you .. you are handsome and very straight forward

  • Hey Stefan, I really appreciate your motivation to share your experience and knowledge to the benefit of others. It is unconditional love. Why? Because you are giving out care, without condition, without asking for anything back. You are a guiding light, and I am so glad you share these videos freely.

    Peace

  • ** for funny actual hidden phone camera footage of real interview in London take a quick look at my channel under documentary playlist, where i secretly film my job interview by resting phone on table against wallet facing interviewer, i thought it would be funny to see the shit that ended up being said, i nearly get caught out

  • I never have trouble with interviews--those always go well. It's resume writing that I suck at. You should do some feedback & advice on resume writing one day.

  • @rockstarofredondo I've done something on that, you can do a search through my channel if you like...

  • @stefbot I saw it afterwards, thank you!

  • Best vid on youtube!!! Bless you dear sir you've given me such confidence I wish I could give you a hug. Bless you!!!

  • awesome posting...for a while I forgot I was watching it on youtube :D gonna go through this again when I start hunting :)

  • Good Information

  • This is brilliant advice. It will not be appreciated by those who are just looking for robotic jobs. This is advice for the truly aspiring.

And to think, that I actually believed worth-while employers wanted to hear those canned responses I learned in my 'job-seeking skills' class

Excellent video, and I have subscribed.

  • I was asked in a interview once what my strengths were and I said....word skills, ptoblem solving, productive blah blah......Then I was asked what my weaknesses are and honestly I could not think of anything I think because I have never thought about it

  • Oh and I am 22 hahah

  • Haha I have had all sorts of jobs as well 1. Gardener: lawn boy lol 2. meat cutter at a BBQ place 3. movies: usher 4. ATV assembler at a Yamaha dealer 5. Taco Bell 6. Shoe Sells 7. Oil change guy at a dealer 8. Transmission shop R&R 9. Diesel mechanic 10.Car sales 11.Car sales again 12 Postal service Lol there is not continuation in what I have done it all varies widely
  • question, you talked about humor, even though I try hard I dont see it in me. People just wont laugh but if some else that is funnier tell the same joke the entire room will laugh. how can i work on that?

  • hey, I would like to take an extra minute to thank you for this video. I was about to go crazy because I applied for a higher position in the company i work for (MetroPCS) and since I am only a little "sales person" I was really stressed (interview isd rela today after 1pm) and after watching this I feel way more prepared and relaxed for my interview. you are the best.

  • Dude, your tips do not work on PriceWaterhouseCoopers. What kind of car is that by the way?

  • I am thinking the car is a VW

  • Volvo S70 :)

  • I think he likes to hear himself talk about himself.

  • However, once he gets to it he incredibly valuable information.

  • However, once he gets to it he gives incredibly valuable information.

  • He takes so-o long to make a point. I didn't appreciate him touching his face let alone his digging of his ears while he spoke. He is too-wordy. Get to the point ....

  • Shut up, Stefbot is the best thing on youtube.

  • GOD!! This man does not ge to the point right away. He goes in circles!!

  • hey man, I'm just following the car... :)

  • Maybe it's your nearly non-existent attention span.

  • Thanks mate

Very good advice and delivered in a way that makes the whole thing seem more 'Human' even though I know that this Wednesday at 3pm, I'll be interviewed by 3 Aliens from Planet Poker-face.

  • Haha, how did it go?

  • Oh Damn, I'm watching this 20 minutes b4 a job interview and am feeling nervous. I'm now getting pissed off at feeling nervous.

  • Thank you for sharing. Knowledge is power. You are wealth of information.Peace and Prosperity

Excuse me.(Those of you griping about the length of the video, the longer you listen to him the more your brain absorbs.)Good luck.

  • safe driving

  • how do u get such long videos?

  • only cool people are allowed

  • This video has massively more views than any other one you've done!

  • It ranks high for the phrase "job interview", so people who know nothing about stefbot will pick it up.

  • 14:34-14:55 <-- awsome

  • Great video! The quality of the information is excellent, however the delivery suffers a bit from lack of brevity. The video could be trimmed by 10 minutes (particularly the beginning) while still retaining its humour and spontaneous feel. Nevertheless, very well-done overall. Thank you for the post!

  • i prepared last night for an interview i had before a while, thanks for the tips, they helped!

I could have done better but it was my first time and i must say i didn't believe i would go as well as i did!

  • Thank you!

  • you are so funny but witty and so comprehensive. helped me so much

  • where were you driving?

  • Why, to the job I used to have! :)

  • nice one dude :)

  • hey umm where are you driving to?

  • No its a very informative video really good job, but your rambling on a little.

  • Awesome! Very funny and informative! I'm off to my first interview tomorrow, and this has helped a lot!

    Thank you!

  • I'm so glad! :) Best of luck, let us know how it goes.

  • Went really well. I got the job, and I've been working there for a few months now :D

    Thanks again!

  • Your strength and weaknesses section was the best I have hear and read ever. Thank you

  • Thanks! :)

  • Just to clarify, I applied for Mexx as "Sales Associate," I still hope I get hired, regardless of the managers punctuality, because from the 50 minutes that I was their waiting ( I came 20 minutes earlier for the interview) I learned a lot about the employees, and certainly they are people I would DEFINITELY want to work with. I did however manage to make her smile ~5 times, and close to laughing too!

  • This is my second time watching this video & I recently had an interview. Ofcourse, I didn't need to interview my manager, because she gave me a straight answer. She came 30 minutes late for my interview. Whats more ironic is that she expects punctuality from her interviewees. I gave her a hand shake at the end, thanking her, and it was the most creepy, soft handshake that had the words "YOU'RE NOT GETTING THIS JOB" in PERMANENT bolded lettering.

  • Sorry to hear about the interview - was it useful to watch the video again?

  • I actually watched the whole 45 minutes and forward this on. The time is bit intimidating but you have so much to offer. The issue of taking a job when it is the wrong fit, can be a career killer. Because when you go for your next job...no one sits in front of your former boss to figure out what happens they sit in front of you. Look at that person and think can you trust this person with your career.

  • Thanks for your patience, I'm so glad to have helped! :)

  • Thanks, some good advice, even tho its 45 mins - watched it all! Cheers mate

  • You are great !!! Thanks for your valuable comments...

  • i like your personality and humor but please get to the point!

  • Haha, sorry, I'm working on it! :)

  • I have a job interview (it's the 2nd interview, because the first one was a group interview) today at Macy's... I hope I get it!!! And thanks for the tips...

  • Best of luck, let us know how it goes! :)

  • I recorded a short video on how it went, I will post it up in a bit! thanks!

  • i really injoyed watching your video..and its really helping alot ,but i got a small broblim that am going to be interviewed after few days by a faimous air line companey and i really need the job..so i wish that u will help me and send or if u have some times to tape it so that u will be a white hand for me and for athers as well...thanks alot for your time

  • Thanks a lot. It sure helps me in getting a job.

  • I'm so glad! :)

  • Wow I just watched this earlier today and then prepared for my interview using your tips! Unfortunately, it was just a preliminary interview so I wasn't given a chance to speak much on my part. Thank you so much for your generous and smart tips. You are a great teacher! -Amy

  • Q:"What are your weaknessess?"

A:"I have a tendency to strive for perfection"

  • Awesome video! We're all very appreciative. And I found out what your accent is from looking at your profile. :)

  • It sounds like you have a very watered down accent...or I've just never heard that accent before...or I'm just hearing things. :)

  • going for interview and getting intervied is a good point , overall its informative, thanks for posting

  • you are one exspierenced man thanks for the help

  • You're welcome, if you get a raise feel free to donate! :)

  • you the man stefbot i got my first interview tomorow for network admin fingers crossed, your a big help!

  • The value proposition question you mentioned is a great suggestion!

  • Thanks, that was a great help.

  • i dont think i agree with the depth of interviewing your boss, i think that may seem very forward

  • really helpful. Now I should point out my weakness, so employers think I'm more honest, etc. Thanks.

  • Great tips but I think I overdid it. The interviewer didnt even ask me questions after a while he was wainting for my questions.

  • After an interview, the recruiter asked me if I wanted to go out for a drink with her. Would have but didn't like what looked like a wedding ring and pictures of children.

  • Great!

  • thanks again 4 time watching it . THANKS

  • You're welcome, glad to be of help!

  • I do not agree with the boss being interviewed by the person looking for the job. The interview is about the company finding out about the prospect not the prospect finding out about his boss. "Small" talk is ok, but it should stop there.

  • i have to disagree with you 123utuber321, the interview should be likened to a dating situation where the two prospective parties find out as much information as they can avout one another before "committing" to the relationship, just because you apply for a job doesnt mean you want that particuloar job, what if you are appying for multiple jobs and are succesful in both, how would you know which is the better option without asking questions?

  • because you asked about the job during the interview.

thats how you decide. Who cares if your boss likes to go fishing, bowling or whatever. You are not marrying your boss. Granted, a lousy boss can make a job suck, but most bosses today are not around much longer then 5 years anyway.

  • i agree you ask about the job and the firm when the alotted time is hopefully given during the interview and i also agree that you dont need to ask personal, intimate questions about your potential employers personal life...I think you misunderstood what i meant by a "dating situation" i didnt mean the person i meant the business...no harm no foul

  • ,<B> nuff said

  • REALISTIC

  • I have worked mostly because of referral. I have never gotten a job in the normal interview process but I am dynamo at what I do. Five years ago, I went to a job interview where they narrowed down over a hundred application to interview four people. I was on cloud 9 to get one of the four. The receptionist looked at me, and repeatedly asked my age (yeah I know). And of all places this is was the Department of Employment service. She throw me off and I blew the interview.

  • Very informative. A must see.

  • ... oh yeah. and keep up the interesting podcasts.

It must be dificult when the voices in your head are Scottish!

  • Help me Steph!

I'm an articulate guy who CAN'T GET AN INTERVIEW to start with.

How do I get my foot in the door (without getting arrested).

  • The only thing I can suggest is to work your contacts - most jobs come from someone you know. Get back in touch with people from High School, take a course, whatever it takes to meet useful people. Good luck!

  • I would kill myself before working at a place where I was expected to play laser tag.

  • Haha!

  • Brilliant! Gotta love though how the guys who say "Just be yourself" are always insanely articulate, do-it-all whiz types with something witty to say just about every five seconds. For the rest of us mortals...

  • Quite right, well put!

  • Yeah what kind of Advice was that, Every time somebody who have low technical skills resulting no employment anywhere. What is your answer to that? Have you ever heard Employers of buisnesses seem to manipulate future employees who need a job and deny whatever qualifications they have and make them useless of getting any type of job on the market. Tell to people around the world want to hear 'What is your response to that?'

  • Figure out what you like to do and GET some skills that apply to that vocation. You are right, those evil employers will not hire you without some skills that will help them achieve their mission. So find a way to help them improve their business, and they will be more likely to hire you.

  • Gold.

  • Thanks for the great advice. I'm currently looking for new opportunities in my career.
