I have yet to see one. the movie was far from perfect-- I admit that-- but it DID hit almost all Gundam themes. And I count my blessings... it wasn't produced by Saban.

@Kenko706 haha. Go Go Gundam rangers!. Yea, G savior did pretty much hit most of the gundam themes, though in a slightly watered down version. Totalitarian government oppressing the colonies, single Gundam pilot with a troubled past, rival enemy ace commander, etc

a live action gundam movie isnt all that great of an idea, if anything it should be a movie about a platoon of ms pilots, not gundams. maybe like a large platoon that gets widdled down to just a few left by the end.

@Xamtaro no it would be a war movie with mechs, which is kinda what they were going for to begin with. Something like 08th ms team would be pro, plus if the first movie is like that, you can make a sequel with the surviving members of the platoon getting more powerful machines i.e gundams

@beaversaysnaruxhina not really dude. The original Gundam still followed conventions of super robot mecha shows of the 70s. Kid pilot, single powerful mech, small rag tag band of untrained personnel against incredible odds. The "war movie with mechs" concept only evolved later on with the Gundam OVAs like 08th Ms Team and 0083.

@Xamtaro even tho gundam originally followed the super robot show style they were still trying to make it like a war show with mechs. They were still fighting a war, the only reason it was kid pilot was because they wanted it to appeal to kids , but if they make a live action it will be to appeal to the adult audience so it would definitely be better if they focus on the war with mechs aspect more than the super robot w/ kid pilot aspect of it.

@beaversaysnaruxhina Um.. most of the footage is take from the actual Live action Gundammovie-- G-Savior. It's not a bad flick too-- it's very much in line with UC timelines, and has a LOT of Gundam type themes... not a LOT mecha action, but what there was was pretty good.  I suspect most of the actual mobile cuit footage was from a game, myself... which means a Gundam game actually served a worthwhile purpose. It's amazing how horrible most of the games are...

Of course this is no real/official trailer, guys... But it would be totally awesome if there would be a live action Gundam or Macross or Evangelion or so. That´s what still needed, because there isn´t any movie of this kind at all. (Or am I wrong? Please show me!)

Let´s just hope it won´t be standard Hollywood shit (like Transformers for example: great effects but otherwise bad imao and not like the original at all.)

this movie is a disaster. even if they low budget movie atleast keep original. use the same gundam and same character name for god sake. there is no way kira look like that douch-bag actor

@MrFkin123 Most of Gundam characters were never japanese. Aside from the main character like Amuro Ray or Kira Yamato, the other characters are always non-japanese. IF you can't tell by their looks (blond hair, blue eyes) then you can tell by their names (Char, Duo, Athrun etc) which are all non-japanese names.

@chaosbringer666 depends. If you compare it to Transformers or Pirates of the Carribean, then ya, G-savior is bad. mostly due to budgetry constraints. It is officially a B-movie but IMO, its still better than a lot of movies, particularly those syfy channel originals. oh and its better than Dragoball(both DB Evolution and the chinese Dragonball movie)
