at the end of the day it was one little hill, not much of a test for 4x4 v 4x4, you need to show a whole range of situations, mud water, hill control, sand... you would then find the LR the best all rounder....and i agree, off road driving is 50% the driver, 50% vehicle, naff driver=naff offroading

They should have used the 2000's model montero cuz it's bigger and more powerful than the 80's. I have a 02' montero limited and that is one bad ass motherfucker when it comes to off-road. That land rover would be no match.

actually my montero would eat your TLC, mine has a 300hp mitsu 3000gt vr4 motor in it, superselect 2, 33" buckshot mudders, locked front and rear, plus a solid front axle.\

I have a 85 Pajero just like that one. It has a 2.3 TDi, I`ve addapted a Intercooler on it. A T-Max ew 9500 winch, snorkel and a 8 cm body lift. It`s unstopable. Trust me :)
