Best and most comprehensive book to read is Claire Davies "Trigger point Therapy WorkbooK." He takes everything from Travell and Simmons work and translates it into an easy read manual. Super cheap on amazon. A must read for those who are dealing with chronic pain issues of any type.
Although Dr. Janet Travell, President Kennedy's physician worked on trigger points, conventional medicine has, for some reason, not included such treatment for Myofascial pain. In 2005, Blue Cross began covering TrP injections, but most doctors don't seem to know about it.

This is a great video for 4 common trigger point areas. Trigger points can refer pain to other areas, causing misdiagnoses.
