@Designing5 You may not have the word selected. Optical will not work if you cursor is simply between 2 characters. You need to select multiple characters. OR you have a dodgy copy of InDesign that was ripped off from somewhere.
@mchughm1 ok. make it easy. less joke, some are fine. and be more objective. the matter subject is not that easy when people are trying to learn and the teacher keeps making non sense jokes about the subject. is just my opinion. will see! be good! and x for replying and x for the NET class.
@blablabla007100 Yes thats the generally accepted thought on that. Really stupid. No idea what they are doing. They invented postscript too, boy was that idiotic. As for that Photoshop, well don't get me started!
A bit of help massively required please, .... the problem I'm experiencing is that every time I place "Middle Eastern" text, although in joined-up format, indesign brakes up the words into separate letters and places them starting from the left to right which is opposite way to what should be. What do I do to resolve this Ta
My opinion is that this tips is a little wrong cause there are typogrphic rules that you must follow and, when he is talking about optical alignement, the typographic rules tells that you are not supposed to do that.... It my point of view but rules are made to be broken....
Sometimes I feel kinda sorry for whomever designed Courier and Comic Sans, as they have gone on to illicit sheer repugnance at the sight of them. Who knows, maybe their creators hate them too. Yes, I know I could go and look up who actually did design these fonts, but I don't feel like it just now.
Thank you very much. I ve got exactly what I had been looking for.
That is good you put it all together somehow predicting the interest and questions
