We are all GM stockholders now, except the government did not give the shareholders (us taxpayers) ownership of the shares, so we won't get dividends. Instead, we get to pay the interest on the money the government used to bail them out! Our imperialist leaders are acting like kings, and calling all the shots. Maybe my congressman would like to buy my shares. I can put the money toward a new Mahindra pickup truck, that gets 32 MPG and costs 40% less than those bloated 4x4 Detroit hogs.

Well its Mar5/09 and auditors admitted this morning that GM will not be a viable business on its own. Basically GM is now officially DEAD.

I think they should let them fold up. Someone will buy what is left over and make it work. Why should my tax dollars bail out any company that is going broke due to poor decissions and bad management. Why isn't Ford asking for a bailout? They did the right thing and went and borrowed money that they have to pay back. Is GM and Chrysler Corp. going to pay the taxpayers back? I would protest that no American taxpayer should buy anything but a Ford.

All three have cheapened their products and

charged more for them

this is because they owe so much money

they can never give Americans cars at a price all Americans can pay

Gm and ford outsold everyone else the last 40 years and lost money doing it

they now owe so much they can not even be considered a viable business model.

May be its time for Chinese to send cars over here then every American could afford to buy a car again

28 dollars an hour and all the bennies, which actually equates to 38 an hour. HS education "come on". I wouldn't of had to beat my way through the military and 4 years of college. Too bad my daddy wasn't an UAW worker, what an easy life it would of been. That's a 15 dollar an hour job "at the most" and they should enjoy all the benefits "We the People" get. Cut their pay 40% and give them the standard benefit package. If they don't like it-there's plenty of unemployed that would love it.
