i agree too.Been looking around for competitions of kung-fu that resemble kung-fu.there's a lot of sanshou and sanda which is like kickboxing & nothing like kungfu. i was interested since i do shiai karate or sport budo karate & our kumite matches look like karate fights something i can say the same for kungfu till now
no they are very good fighters, their punch looks uneffective is just because their body really can take the damage, i can see they both faught very well, using good techniques, learn from open heart and open minded. brothers...
for me,ialways prefer muaythai or karate, but from this video,sincerelyi appreciate the way they fight too, i can see they are truely using techniques, watch carefully...brothers..they are good.why their punch sometimes look uneffective is just because of both of them, their body can take the damage.
It would be better with punches to the head. Obviously this creates some bad habits. Looks like there are no high kicks, just foot sweeps? Or are there leg kicks in there?

the rules don't allow punches to the head, just like judo or shuai-jiao doesn't allow punches to the head in competition or demonstrative format.
PS the neutralizing root at 00:50 is pretty good! Black is clearly more versed in the techniques
