  • Isn't it Nice to see everyone just chilling and enjoying a little jam time.

  • There is an hour & 55 min of this on YouTube (somewhere) & on some blogs. A bootleg CD of the "oldies" is on the market as "The Silver Wilburys"

  • @55KatDaddy bought that cd many moons ago. didn't know of this video footage till today!!! Another gem!!!

  • I wish the entire show had been filmed and on Youtube.

  • I have noticed that there is always ONE.(1) person who does not like any song! The travelin' Troll.

  • Its actually true that Harrison and Orbison weitw some songs before they passed away. Orbison wrote and played on the Wilburys first album and wrote some material for their 2 nd album, but passed away before the album was finished. The remaining Wilburys paid tribute to him in one of their music videos for a song Roy sang on for the album, showing his guitar in a chair beside them during the part Roy sang. Harrison lived until long after the Wilburys moved on an returned to their normal lives

  • Traveling WilburysI sure do miss them. There is still plenty or music, ballads and fun, left in them. Roy and George I'm sure wrote a few before they were heavens bound. Bring out the unpublished and more.

  • Sang there for years when I lived in No. Hollyweird. lol I was in Nashvegas when this happened. Would have LOVED to have been there.

  • wasn't this the same club where Bob Hite of Canned Heat fame played his last gig before dying of illegal drug complications a few hours later? by the way, anyone know where Bob was buried?

  • this is incredible, imagine just hangin there, and BAM! history is hapnin.. this would be on my bucket list- next lifetime

  • you are only right about one thing. George, Zimmy, and John Fogerty were there to see Jesse. I was there! enough said.

  • unreal and im old and down 3-4 of them sacry , im to old but still to young even if i moved at year 9 fokking lord of satan im to young ha and thats scary to say

  • Every Beatle has sung this song at some point, including Pete Best (excluding Stu Sutcliffe).

  • wow thanks!

  • This is kind of weak , considering the line up. How hard is it to get a 12 bar Blues together?

  • @JohnJanuary too many egos fighting to take atention, nobady wants to be in the second line. Oh, and dylan is like "what the hell im doing here", just following the rythm as he can =)

  • Actually you are totally wrong about the Traveling Wilburys. The Wilburys were formed by George Harrison and Jeff Lynne, not Dylan. Dylan was there true, from the beginning, but the producers of the Wilburys were George and Jeff, but 90% Jeff you can bet. How could you list Jim Keltner as a member and not mention Jeff Lynne???? Duh. You don't know jaCK about it.

  • @zengalileo Dylan did contribute a lot of writing on the Wilbury songs & rehearsals in his studio. Bob & George were close feiends from Woodstock, NY days to Malibou.

  • This is incredible- thank you 4fabBEATLES for this and to the commenters for telling the story...what an incredible nexus of talent. What I don't get is whether Dylan, Harrison and Fogerty just carry their guitars where ever they go or if they knew they were gonna play. And how can you tell who's playing lead or is it changing back and forth? I must say, George seems to sing American styles really well, here the blues, rockabilly, fantastic with Carl Perkins, the Wilburys

  • OK, so your story about the news reporter is wrong. There were two shows that night. Both shows had Taj as the headliner with John Trudel and Jesse Ed Davis as the supporting act. John Jesse and the band also played back up for Taj. in the crowd was next to the sound booth was Bob and George and Dylan's girlfriend (the one on the cover of knocked out and loaded). In the crowd for the first set was Jackson Browne. They all came out to see Jesse Ed who had played back up on their albums. ....

  • DougRymes .... Continued John Fogerty came for the second show (he came to allot of shows at the Palomino in those days). I can't remember who was asked up on stage first but it ended up with John Fogerty Bob Dylan and George Harrison all playing with Taj and Jesse. As for the video there was a guy who would video all of the bands from the sound booth in those days and offer the tape to the bands. There was a young reporter with a still camera in the room his photos ended up in Rolling Stone.

  • Where was the camera during Fogerty's solo? Pay attention...great jam tho. Thanks for posting

  • @doubleotwentyone the guy who recorded this was a young news reporter at the back of a club in crowds of dancing people. Nobody knew this show was going to happen- it was totally spontaneous and was never officially recorded or filmed, and this lineup of people never played together again. pure luck that someone heard about it from a friend and was nearby with a camera.

  • @doubleotwentyone Isn't that Fogerty that comes up at the very end and puts on a guitar?

  • @doubleotwentyone The guitar solo is played by Jesse Ed Davis - not Fogerty. But you're right - the camera is not in the right place.

  • @doubleotwentyone Fogarty didn't come up and plug in till the end ot the tune, the hot solo was Jesse Ed Davis.

  • @howlinearl Saw G Harrison's solo, didn't see JED. Was he the frontman playing the harp?

  • @randlec6 That's JED half sitting on a stool next to the drums, he was getting around with a cane by then.

  • the traveling wilburys

  • @ketinportius kind of, except the Traveling Wilburys didnt include John Fogerty, Taj Mahal or the piano player and included Tom Petty, Roy Orbison, & Jim Keltner. It's true Harrison and Dylan formed the Traveling Wilburys
