  • I am playing this for my daughter's wedding recessional. I might cry, but I will Handel it.

  • Is this Ian Tracey playing? Can anyone tell me if the exact sheet music that was used here?

  • I walked down the aisle to this piece of music on our wedding 3/6/11, love it xx

  • Wonderful!

  • this sounds really great loved it

  • i am getting into organ music lately can you recommend some good tunes

  • @oferbenavraham1967 look through my favourite list!

  • @oferbenavraham1967 the most widely known and one of my favs is Tocatta and Fugue in D Minor by Bach. if you look it up, look for the 8 and a half minute version cause that's the real version

  • great recording. beautiful variation in stops and timbres. also, the "tutti" bits carry the same depth, richness of a full orchestra but maintains precision and rhythmic drive!

  • ¡¡¡Esplendorosol, magnífico, brilantisimo!!!

  • wow, I've never really been exposed to an organ before so I'd best see it live before I say anything but it feels (at least when listening to it in recording) that the bass is a bit thunderous for my taste. nevertheless, an excellent recording.

  • @ToulBoi This is recorded on the organ of Liverpool Anglican Cathedral, the largest organ in the British Isles, and second largest in Europe, with 10,268 pipes. The Pedal department is huge, with several 32' stops and a 64 foot resultant bass.

  • @ds1868 Haha. I was wondering why it was so powerful! It's an incredible sound, I'm just not used to it, that's all. I need to see one live to really accustom myself to the tone.

  • Perfect. Absolutely perfect!

  • How is the music "enhanced," ARFRC and angus? By letting them listen to the sound of the cash being sucked out of their credit cards?

By hearing their hard drives grind to a locked halt?

Sorry to see that beautiful music attracts snakes like you.

  • @CarltonR55

What the fuck are you on about you loon? It used to make video and sound a little bit sharper during the testing days of Youtube HD. Doesn't really do much now-a-days, Its just a Hi Def trigger on the url. Get out of here you troll.

  • @Ryoko54 I see that they are monkeying with your medication again, honey. Hope they eventually can get it right. Perhaps someone should stow the laptop away until such occurs. Seeya, Snookums!

  • @CarltonR55 Yo no offense but that was a really idiotic statement. By adding '&fmt=18' to the end of the URL, you are enhancing the music by increasing the quality of the sound (ie from 128 kbps to 256 kbps, just an example). ARFRC was not attempting to rob anyone or send them viruses...

And why did you rip on Angus? As far as I know, HE was the one who UPLOADED this piece for you to listen to... If you're going to accuse someone of something, please try to make sense when doing so.

    Nice song.

  • beautiful sound

  • could you please play: break on through to the other side ? It would sound AwEsOmE on that organ.

  • It's really good. Do you know who's playing it?

  • Where is played this piece please?

  • Great!! Love the echo at the end!

  • Like, absolutely breathtaking. Way to go, babe!

  • Man!,that organ must be massive, sounds very beautiful.is it the one pictured at 1:01 on up,if it is it sounds as beautiful as it looks

  • @eh4891 It's Liverpool Cathedral

  • @eh4891 savingangel is quite correct in saying that it is Liverpool Cathedral. though in answer to your question in more detail, the organ pictured in the video is not of the organ cases at Liverpool, rather that of an organ somewhere in the Netherlands.

  • wonderful!!! great organ and great organist!!

  • I love hearing this played at weddings. :)

I want it played at my wedding.

  • Thanks. It's very nice.

  • Great piece of music! Never heard it on the organ. This organ must be quite a beast! Thanks for sharing.

  • Thank you for sharing this beautiful piece from Handle, this morning, it is ever so meaningful, as I am joining a new church today, after a very long asbsence.

  • Sounds great- I had this at my wedding last year when we walked out of chapel. It was a nice change to the usual wedding march.

  • Lovely recording. That sure sounds like Liverpool Cathedral, am I right?

  • Alla Hornpipe is just the best Handel Rules !

  • Bravo!!!

  • AAAH liverpool Anglican cathedral organ! Built by willis. Ian tracey playing in this recording.

  • Thought so...

I can tell those reeds are by father Willis any day.

Thanks for making it clear. =D

  • Listen to the five second reverb!

  • More like 7. Good acoustics make a good organ great; bad acoustics make a great organ lousy. This organ is magnificent.

  • You are right. I miscounted. That is awesome that such a magnificent organ is housed in such a room!

  • Or basilica in this case. XD

  • Nine second reverb! Liverpool cathedral so vast a space

  • Elgar's Imperial March would sound outstanding on this organ. I love the voicing on this organ.

  • The pipe organ is a magnificent instrument. What a majestic piece this is!

  • The reeds I hear on this organ tells me it is an English organ.

  • The picture used is of the organ at Bath Abbey (I think)???

  • Yes, it is Bath Abbey.

  • Handel was an organist, but never composed for any big organs

  • I recorded it with two trumpets, just look on my channel

  • Really nice piece. Here is another tip: at the end of the web address of this video, type in &fmt=18 at the end of the url and simply press enter or click go and the music is enhanced.

  • Thousands thanks for that!!!I love listening to music with the best audio effect!!!

  • Very, Very Welcome.

PS - On behalf of the American Guild of Organists, thanks for the post of the video. Really great.

  • Wow! I never knew about that! The difference is unbelievable!

  • Which organ, and performed by whom?

  • Liverpool cathedral, Ian Tracey

  • Yes!

  • Ah, giving a recital there myself in the not too distant future.... Perhaps I'll try it, and enjoy a choice of tubas!
