Comparisons between Kiske's voice and Deris's voice are not possible. It would be possible to make such a comparison if Bruce Dickinson took Kiske's place in Helloween, because they have a similar kind of voice. Deris is way different.

It's really difficult to say who's better, because they're great. Both of them. Kiske is not better, Deris is not better, they're just different, and both of them made the band sound great. The Kiske years sound awesome and so do Deris years.

Despite Deris's voice is not perfect like Kiske's, he's got soul, and he's not shy.

It seems Deris is more a rocker, a singer for the band. He's part of the group, and it really feels he's one of the guys, making them sound great together. Kiske is a singer who doesn't need a band, it's just like he could shine alone.

In Helloween, Deris sings with the team, making them shine as a whole thing. With Kiske, it was like they were just supporting Kiske's talent and shine.

Deris and Kiske are completely different singers. Kiske has the perfect voice, and he's always more concerned about getting the best from his voice while singing live, but he's not a great performer on stage. He's perhaps too shy, but no doubt the audience feels satisfied listening to him and just forgets the performance.

Deris, otherwise, is the guy who is everywhere on stage, filling all the spaces while he tries to sing in a nice but not remarkable way.

They are both great singers, the only thing that separates them is that Andi's voice is instantly recognizable and unique to him. When I hear Kiske I hear at least 39 different metal singers. (keep in mind I think Kiske really advanced the style)
