Blago is spot-on right. These government prosecutors are really scary. They pile on dozens of ridiculous, wordy mumbo-jumbo charges, then they go after your friends, family, and wallet. At the end of it all, the Judge and prosecutors give "instructions" to the jury which are virtual orders to vote guilty. This is the Soviet approach to politics, nothing more and nothing less. Fitzgerald should be charged himself. I've decided I really like this Blago guy. He's honest, actually.

Thus guy may be 100% innocent. Lawyers can take bits and pieces of evidence (tapes, videos, documents, etc) and make things seem completely out of context of the original conversation.

I don't understand what was meant by the DA would not allow the defense to introduce people to testify that would clear him, but he was told by his attorney that he didn't need to testify for his own defense because their case was so weak. I personally think he is less corrupt and more honest than many other Illinois politicians (democrats).

Blagojevick had a better defense than I thought he would on most of the questions. Still why didn't they put on a defense in the first trial? That doesn't make sense.
