  • how did you get the molding set up so the new door panels will have holes in the right spots for the door mechanisms to slide through?

  • This is an absolutely perfect job. Respect! Thanks for the video

  • So you just put on 2-3 layers of resin/hardner over the fleece...thats all?

  • @TheUFOeffect nope its fiberglassed.

  • Hey bro, nice work... I've been watching your videos recently.. I have a question on the door panels, under all the work, is it still the original door panel? If so, how is the new skin attached to the original panel? Is it both the wood framing AND the fiberglass that are making the bond? Thanks man.

  • Nice hoe! You should take a look at Go Pro head cameras! You have straps and a clipp on your head that hold the camera for you, im sure you would get things done much faster if you had both hands! Love your stuff!

  • I have a question for you. I noticed that the fleece is wrapped over and around to the backside of the door panel, does that make it harder to re-apply/secure the completed door panel to the door itself? or do you just re-apply the door panel a different way than factory (like using screws etc.)? NICE WORK BTW!

  • is this black thing hard ?

and is the door panel heavy with all that wood in it well it's not a lot but just asking

  • I shall join everyone and add another criticism/suggestion:

You need a new drill bit, your current one seems to be work and doesn't catch properly.

A++ video. Nice and straightforward but with enough detail. Will definately help me with my project :)

  • it was so hard for me to do this stuff w/ 2 hands and taking forever... let alone film while i do it! these vids are awesome.

  • its like Christmas unwrapping the foil and getting the goodies ready for the truck :D

  • hey steve i have a 76 chevy pickup single cab that needs some better bass in it...can u hook me and my baby up??? check out my videos of what i got by the way man ur shit is straight up evil man! hey El Paso, Texas needs some SMD lovin' we need more bass out here in the bordertown to show these people what SMD is all about!

  • great work

  • Steve, I love watching these videos man, makes me wanna glass my doors on the Delta as soon as I get the motor finished up, she's in such bad shape (not necessairly banged up or anything) that I dont wanna put pictures up of the project, but you can bet that as soon as I get the loom wired up to the block im gonna put one hell of a system in it, I know I wont be doing numbers like yours, but im thinking a bunch of AQ HDC 15s

Keep doing that work man! Love the results cant wait for more!

  • sweet

  • Thanks for going to all the effort to make these videos and posting them

  • Good work man! Passion like a mofo

  • reminds me of jiffy pop, uuuummm jiffy pop

  • i am going to hate tosee this build finished i am always looking forward to watching you work on it

  • going to be sad to see this build finished...love watching you work on it so much

  • WOW,that is really coming out good.I knew you was doing something on the next level, but this is WAY up there!!!

  • starting too look good man...

  • what are you going to do with the rear panels if anything

  • u do better work than most audio shops steve!u da best man!

  • Sound like unwrapping gifts at Christmas, don't you just love it when your ideas become reality. Doors are looking sick, Steve!

  • steve did u get a new tat?

  • its like unwrapping left over pizza

  • no one likes doing it? (@ skaterboy52093c)

  • no its leftovers

  • the name of the video and the more info section kinda seem like they came from me.lol cause i was one of the few people who said i couldnt see those door panels come together

  • infinity reference (personaly) are way better than rockford power's.

  • yeah right infinity makes pretty shitty stuff.but that is your opinion

  • i got a infinity 8' subwoofer in my home theater system. shit bangs, but it's not as flexible as other subs. even my dad notices. when the sub plays, the sound feels restricted and can't seem to be flexible when playing.

  • i got 2 Infinity 6x9's in my Accord just as speakers...those hit hard as hell alone but that would be as big as i would go with Infinity. Got a 1' tweeter in the middle so they sound clean as hell with no distortions. Infinity's a good brand but imo not with woofers...

  • yeah my front doors in my jeep grand cherokee have 2 infinity 6x9's and they hit hard as FUCK. but now ive got 2 fosgate 12's in the back so i cant hear the 6x9's as much

  • weak sauce, ill stick with my RF.

  • steve wat do you think about the re audio xxx 6.5 components

  • RF under rates their stuff. Those 25001bds that Steve has are doing up to 3300 watts. Plus they can be mastered and slaved so you would have 2 amps running as one doin up to 6500 watts.

  • I went with Infinity References in my system, the ones where the tweeters mount separately. They sound pretty good to me, although I wish the crossfade was adjustable.

A sound processor would fix that, but I'm looking at a 2010 Subaru Legacy GT Limited instead ;)

  • @meade916 i agree i have the T1 components and they are great

  • @pattman96 should of atleast said kappa's

  • looking good

  • This is just me I know most people would disagree but I'd cover it in leather now and go with blacked out interior.

Either way awesome design. You got skills for sure. I'm not into lots of speakers but I think I can use what your videos to come up with my own custom interior I'm working on. I can only hope it turns out as good as this is looking to.

All in all thanks for posting your build.

  • how many pre out puts does your deck have? or do you just split them all..?

  • Loving it good work looking sweet

  • isn't the Tahoe a 4 door? so is there a different setup for the back doors?
