this game was the hardest nes game that i had ever owned since when i was 5, it wasnt until 6 years later that i finally had a partner to help me kill the damned final boss.

and i still got this game! i can just pop it in my good ol nintendo whenever i want! :D

me and my bro beat this twice. Its hard to get the patterns down if you aren't up to familiarizing yourself with the levels. The more we got comfortable with the levels, the more we saved up lightning in the end, when were just kinda tired and decided to throw the kitchen sink at Garuda.

I played this many years ago, and I never knew about that "sword beam" attack. I always used the kusari-gama because of its better range.

This game is the shit! And I still have it!!! I dont own a NES consol though, but I will eventually so I can play this great game again. Wonderful memories from when I was a child. I remember after finally beating it, I started crying because it was so hard and I felt so proud, haha! XD

I played this when I was 12 and at first, thought it was going to be a cheap ripoff of Ninja Gaiden.. I was quickly proven wrong. This was a great game. The music, levels, bosses. And it was hard as hell. Why wasn't there a sequel and why didn't it get any hype at all?

never beat it as a kid, though. it was surprisingly tough to beat. i always died on the 4th level boss, maybe only once got to the 5th level.

he never let me use the purple ninja lol. and the pink ninja doesnt have weapon upgrades -_-.

It's not for the SNES. And the female ninja CAN also get upgrades. If you've played it you should know.

KAGE is the Japanese name for it.

my bro and i had this thing where we dont use the same thing in any game, so yeah i didnt get to use the sword. i only got to use the rope thing, but its not in this video. and the rope cant be upgraded.

guess thats why i thought the pink one doesnt have upgrades.

dude the rope gets 3 upgrades... the normal one, then it transforms into a faster one and the third upgrades make it throw little beam thingies just like the sword. I was also a chain guy.

the only weird thing of this game like double dragon is the fact that you only have 1 life so if you die once you,re game over,

besides there,re contineus.

only in the 2 player modes you get more lives.

and i remember once dying i was so pist off that i got crazy and banging on the real thing.

How did you not get the weapon you picked up? I was never able to do that in all the years I had this game. Anyway, one thing about the credits that I never noticed before is that they appear on the top before they appear on the main part of the screen. Great video game anyway, always been one of my favorites

in this game you don't die when you fall. you just lose some health and continue.
