The louder the music the harder it is to maintain album notes. I know this for a fact. I've had to sing live in front of 5000 screaming people.... Tarja had the instruments volumed down so her voice could stand out. Anette doesn't and so she can't meet all notes without straining her voice and sounding so much more off key.

Shame my band broke up.

We were close to a record deal but our drummers girlfriend had him whipped like you wouldn't believe and so he had to drop. We couldn't replace him.

I am a huge Nightwish fan. I can't wait to see them at the Carling Academy, Birmingham at the end of March! From what I have heard on YouTube Annette sounds pretty good. Obviously she does not possess the vocal range of Tarja however I do feel that she will further improve over time.
