Csárdás is the correct spelling and it's pronounced as "ch-awr-dash " . That's "ch" as "chick". Csárda is the Hungarian word for "tavern" therefore csárdás means tavern-ish (music). Czardas on the other hand is a meaningless and irrelevant word.

HI coolzheron I had the same problem! It wasnt possible to play the fast bowing with the right koordination. I paracticed over 5 month for 4 hors a day but it would never be 100% ok. And my teacher just said you have to practice and then I went to another teacher.There is a special teckniqe to practice the koordination between the bow and left hand. So dont try to do it like me try it slow. If you interested I can show you how to practice that ;)

practise against a door or a wall. your wrist should be doing the work, not your arm. if u practise with the elbow of your bowing hand against a door it will make you use your wrist more and once you have the hang of that your co-ordination will totally sort itself out and you'll be able to play those sections as fast as you like without any fuzzness!! takes a lot of practise but so rewarding and well worth all the hard work when it fineally cracks!!! : ) goood luck! : )

umm i think for this piece, it is used for only violin exams.

From what I remember, this piece, selelcted by the RCM ( Royal Conservatory of Music) is on the List C for grade 8 violin exams (0.o)

out of all the violinists i know, none of them selected this song to be played at their exam due to how difficult it is
