@krysxsuperstar i personally feel that the song "tank top" is fine because yes, family force 5 IS a christian band but that doesn't mean EVERY song is going to be about Jesus. This song means a lot to me. My sister ran away 9/11/11 and I felt so alone. I felt abandoned. My sister came back and there was so much yelling and blame. I tried to stay strong for my family but really inside I was more alone than ever. Then I listened to this song... I cried for the first time in a long time. @DakotaD777 But you have to realize they are a Christian alternative band a lot of their stuff does relate to Jesus, God. They are signed by two different companies to show appeal not only to Christians but a verity of people so they can open the gate to tell people about Jesus. The 2 Concerts i have been to of theirs they talk about singing for God and that without him they wouldn't be where they are today.

That's the thing about music, a song doesn't have to have one set tone or intent; different people can all have their own different interpretations, and that's just fine!
If you want this song to be about Jesus for you, then go ahead.
I just wanted to point out that the author's original intent was for this song to be aimed at a loved one, not a deity.

@DakotaD777 But you have to realize they are a Christian alternative band a lot of their stuff does relate to Jesus, God. They are signed by two different companies to show appeal not only to Christians but a verity of people so they can open the gate to tell people about Jesus. The 2 Concerts i have been to of theirs they talk about singing for God and that without him they wouldn't be where they are today.

@armmjmm I am aware that they do label themselves as a Christian group. They do show their faith during shows, although none of the ones I have attended have included any bit of Christianity.

@armmjmm For their debut album, they were signed with Gotee Records (a Christian label) and Maverick Records (a secular label). The reason for that was to get their music out to as many audiences as possible, and I'm guessing you know that.
Their latest release, "III", was released under EMI CMG (Christian label), Tooth & Nail (Christian label), and III Entertainment (the band's very own label).
