I've got the original single and it sounds much angrier, much more desperate than these live versions.

I lived 2Tone as a spotty teenager and I was F***ing ANGRY with Thatcher's Britain. Great music, great bands. They caught the mood of the age for so many young people!

Spot on mate; music back then had a meaning and was not there to make money; it had a huge relevance! The original was far angrier. I was also brought up listening to The Smiths. How we didn't kill ourselves, I'll never know!

One of the best ska songs ever written, from one of the best albums of the 1980s. The Selecter were easily the best 2 tone band. The album was criminally out of print for years, but you can get it now from Captain Oi! records (he rereleases all kinds of out of print and rare punk rock/ska/oi! records)

"too much PRESSURE" - this song is even more relavent today than when it first came out. Selecter,Specials,and all the 2-Tone bands - it was so much more than just the music - I was in college at the time and no music before or since has affected me more than the 2-Tone bands.
