  • thats marcel the shell!!

  • Will they really be fined?

  • this is not a violation. since snl airs @ 11:29 P.M., it is acceptable b/c anythin after 10 P.M. isnt regulated by the fcc. Also give the context. in the sketch, they say "freakin" like 60 times. it was a slip of the tongue!!! Lady Gaga also said "shit" during her performance of "paparazzi"

on the very next episode. no fines in either situation.

  • I love how you're using a slip up as an example of a lack of professionalism on NBC's part. Fuck you.

  • Now the only skit shes in is "What up with that?"

    and she dosent talk

  • i love megan fox

  • what a pro though, made a face and kept going.

  • i like her face after she realized she said it lol it was like "there goes my job!". what do u expect with a skit full of the word "frick", the f-word's bound to slip somewhere.

  • where can i find the whole video

  • Not to worry: when this sketch was repeated on October 24th, the "dress rehearsal" version- without the "F-word"- was shown...and will continue to be as long as the episode it was part of is repeated....so Jenny Slate is "safe", for now.

  • Big deal. Buck Henry was the first to do it, and Charles Rocket was the second

  • lol look at all the douchebags talking shit about the "80's SNL" lol

    jeezus

big deal the F word who cares

  • I missed that the first time

  • I didn't even notice this when I watched it the first time--a buddy had to tell me an f-bomb was dropped. Oh well.

  • they already curse on tv,so why not ,anyway, some of the stuff that is shown on tv is worse.

  • Wow she said the F-word, the whole world is coming to an end. Big fucking deal this is nothing to worry about there are more important things to deal with than foul words on tv. Why do you think the show is on late night because a lot of kids are asleep and even then they don't watch SNL anyway.

  • Jeep nobody watches SNL anymore, it's amazing how quickly this whole thing disappeared from the news. After a couple of days at most poof it was totally gone.

  • Funniest skit of the night. Shame, they'll probably never do it again. It kind of reminded me of Wayne's World.

  • actually it's during the safe harbor hours, so there isn't anything wrong with saying it apparently, but it's just looked down upon

  • So ridiculous!

    So ................... American!

  • Let me get this straight somebody saying FUCK on latenight TV is a Big deal but all the phone sex ads, EXTENZE commercials, POS-T Vac(penis pump) ads promoting fucking arent ???!

  • @spliffsperlunk Yea, i totally hear ya on this one. Unfortunately though, the rules are already set in stone. If you break em, you break em. I'm not saying they're right, i'm just saying that's how it is. It sucks.

  • Oooooh, she said fuck. Big fucking deal, it's just a word, we're all going to hear it hundreds, hell, thousands of times in our lives. It's no big deal.

  • at the end she should have said

"i swear to god ill do anything TO KEEP MY FRIGGIN JOB SINCE I JUST FREAKING SAID FUGGIN ON LIVE TV WHICH I KNOW IS AGAINST FCC WHICH IN SHORT MEANS I FUGGED UP AND NOW HAVE TO LOOK FOR A JOB ON HBO WHERE OTHERS LIKE ME ROAM"

.....yeah, im sure thats what she was thinking

  • Every third grader that saw this skit probably turned to their friends and said,...'Can you f****ing believe she said that?'.....and then they got over it. I'm thinking there are many more important things to worry about that than some chick on SNL saying fuck.

  • Yeah, cause so many 3rd graders are up that late at night.

  • Comment removed

  • Lack of professionalism? Ha!

I think she just broke on through..Sh'es on her way now.

And you know what?..Good for her...

    Grow up people.

You try saying Fuckn instead of...OOPS!

See...I must be a FRICKIN amateur

  • Really though.....droppin the F bomb at this time shouldn't be a bad thing, any kids up at this time are probably listening to a lot worse...FCC needs to loosen up, it's not that bad.

  • SNL in the 70's, 80's and early 90's best SNL ever. What is this shit?

  • yeah i know..

she said the f word, big deal

But i think SNL is completely going doing the drain already and the season just started

  • wow, we have all heard the work fuck, get over it

  • The FCC fine is cheaper than advertising this painfully unfunny show; perhaps the network hoped that the video would go viral. Yeah, this is truly a pathetic attempt to bring viewers back to the show, orchestrated by irrelevant hacks.

  • she made a bloaty face lol. I think this would make the skit better. its just a word and I don't no ones every heard it before.

  • And yet, ironically, in America, showing someone having their brains blown out is not considered obscene.

  • WOW ! Good thing she didn't say ni**er !

  • Well fuck, I hope little Billy didn't hear that.

  • Comment removed

  • the writers had all summer off, and THIS is the crap they came back with????

what a waste of 90 minutes

  • FUCKFUCKFUCKFUCKFUCKFUCKFUCKFUCK

    who gives a fuck

  • just shows how nasty TV has become - glad I never watch it anymore - no one needs to. The FCC should be ashamed to let TV become as raunchy as it is now. The media has been pushing toward this for years - no more ratings calls for these desperate measures for them.

  • It was a slip...who cares, it was funny! How could this be an FCC violation when it was aired after primetime???

  • That was not as bad as i though -.-

  • its hard to contol the word frikin especially if you constantly use the word fucking, especially the fact that she was prolly nervous on her debut for the new season

  • I knew this would cause a stir when I saw it. I asked my girlfriend if what I thought I heard was indeed the F word, lol.

The fake Mohmar Kadafi was the best!

  • the f-bomb, that is ridiculous, FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK

  • this could be a good thing in the long run. this episode of SNL will always be remembered for this and not how totally un-funny it was

  • Who cares, SNL is garbage and shouldve been canceled 20 years ago

  • but where in the bible is there any "political" views?

  • Ummmm...all over? The Old Testament, The New Testament? One nations dominance over another is political. Jesus was killed because of politics in Rome, and Israel. The 10 commandments are laws for a nation to live by. The accepted canon of biblical texts has over the years have been changed to suit the needs of the church...that's politics.

  • i meant political as in republican/democrat views,, do you even read the convo before hand?

  • Um, know the law before spewing such narrow minded commentary, 4cylinderjeep!

Title 18 of the United States Code, Section 1464, prohibits the utterance of any obscene, indecent or profane language by means of radio communication. Consistent with a subsequent statute and court case, the Commission's rules prohibit the broadcast of indecent material during the period of 6 a.m. and 10 p.m. FCC decisions also prohibit the broadcast of profane material between 6 a.m. and 10 p.m.

  • Accidents will happen. This skit was monumentally unfunny, but who cares about the f-bomb? Our shool-age kids hear much worse language every day on the playground. Shame on the FCC if it wastes one penny of taxpayers' money looking into this.

And shame on you, 4cylinderjeep, for being so sanctimonous and judgmental in your write-up for this posting (which is technically a violation of NBC's copyright). Dear God, I'm tired of the Nanny State, the Thought Police and all their annoying lackeys.

  • OOOOOppppppppssss!!

  • Who fuckin' cares?

  • WHAT? Snl not funny in the 80's or 90's? What crack are you smoking and what rock have you been hiding under? HELLLOOOOOO! Eddie murphy in his heydey, Dan Ackroyd, Bill Murray, CHRIS FUCKING FARLEY! Jeez! Stay away from that cheesy college humor you call a poor excuse for comedy and try to have an open mind. Wtf?

  • Uhm none of the comedians you mention were on SNL during the 80's or 90's. They were part of SNL in the 70's.

SNL of the 80's was soooo bad, that Lorne Michaels and NBC try to forget they existed. That was the only decade that SNL allowed already established "pro" comedians like Billy Crystal, Martin Short, and Chris Elliott. It was HORRIBLE!!!

Obviously your crack is stronger, and your rock is much, much bigger.

  • Oops, Chris Farley was part of SNL in the 90's, so you did manage to get ONE name correct.

  • anyone one suprised when the whole sketch has em saying fricken every 5 secs? who even cares aint a big deal

  • I agree. I feel that press and the poster is choosing to dwell on the negative rather than the mitigating circumstances that lead to the "blurt" -- Jenny Slate trying to change every f-bombin to a frickin in the skit. According to New York Daily News, she's pretty safe.

  • Does anybody actually watch SNL anymore ?

It hasnt been funny since the late 90's

  • Actually, SNL wasn't funny in the 80's or 90's.

    It's much better now.

  • SNL wasn't funny in the 80s or 90s??? Wow, what the fuck are you talking about? I know everyone has a different opinion of different things, but really? What are you, 12 years old? You're trying to seem intelligent by saying something like this, trying to make an observation about a subject you clearly know nothing about! I mean, children find certain things amusing; they can't comprehend humor that doesn't spell out the joke for them! Do us a favor, get off Youtube.

  • It wasn't funny in the 80's at all... Rich Hall? Joe Piscopo? Chris Elliott? Yes, that was comedic genius.

Do us a favor, and get off the internet, or get a real sense of humour.

  • If you think Bill Murray,Eddie Murphy,Dan Ackroid,Guilda radner,Steve Martin&John Belushi werent funny in the 80's and you feel that Adam Sandler,Chris Rock,Chris Farley,David Spade,Dana Carvey, Phil Hartman and Mike Myres werent funny in the 90's And you feel that SNL is better today then it was back in the 80's or the 90's then frankly you wouldnt know funny if its sweaty buttcheeks landed square on your face.

  • Well, to be accurate, Dan Ackroyd, Eddie Murray, Bill Murray , John Belushi, WERE funny! That wasn't the 80's though, that was the 70's ! The 70's SNL were the best of all time!

The 80's SNL consisted of comedians like Joe Piscopo, Billy Crystal, JAMES Belushi, Joan Cusak, Brad Hall, Rich Hall, Gary Kroeger. It was a NIGHTMARE of immense proportions, so unfunny that I when I watch old episodes, I can't believe I wasted time on SNL back then.UGH!

Todays SNL is much, MUCH better than the 80's.

  • To be accurate it was the 70's and the

80's especially since eddie murphy was a little late to the party.

  • Who gives a fuck?

  • I actually saw this live and didn't really notice it!

Good job to Jenny for not breaking character.Although you can see her puff her cheeks.

  • Keep fuckin that chicken!

  • ROFL!!!

  • lol

  • simple mistake freakin freakin who likes to say that 10 million times?

  • actually

nobody cares after midnight nobody cares lets move on

  • Those goddamn FCC goons, they're based in D.C. so they must have those damn Canadian sounding Iowa sounding Washington, D.C. accents

FCC guy sez: "Hey Ya goos CAHNT be cursin' an' stoof on Da TV der guys, ya kna?"

  • "The sketch aired live at about 12:40 a.m. Eastern, well after prime time, when use of expletives can be punished by the FCC."

  • wow i totally missed that last night.

Oh wait I am in my mid 20s the "F-bomb" isn't a big deal

  • Ain't that the fucking truth, it's not a big deal. I missed that too but really who watches that dumbass show anyway,. Slow news day people?

  • oh, i completely hate any news channel, just because of the way they try and make you follow thier belifes, and thank you also for the convo, the first intelligent one i think i ever had on youtube lol

  • lol at people having a philosophical conversation on youtube.

  • explain?

  • hmmm, you know what? that sounds like paranoia to me? but what do i know, im probably just part of the brainwashed masses, thumbs up for completely contradicting yourself.

  • at what point did I say anything about beliving in god? Another example of how ignorance has infected the masses, if your not paranoid, then why would you think that people are trying to brainwash you/others?

  • you are an ignorant moron, you need to actually read what you write before you post it, you sound about as intelligent as a 12 year old, and saying the bible has been traslated to brainwash us, really? What are you an anarcist too? Grow the fuck up, and drop the whole paranoia craze your little anti-establishment bands have led you to belive exist.

  • Raed what you wrote. So you really mean that?

  • "another shining example of NBC's lack professionalism on network television."..

Seriously, it was just a mistake. How exactly does NBC lack professionalism in this little incident?

  • Aw, so she slippped and said was really meant anyway. Seriously, no biggie. Kids hear and read worse than this every day watching movies and wading through Twitter.

  • Not at all, I didn't mean to make it sound like it was only not a big deal because of the time of day it aired - all I was saying was it wasn't a technical violation of the FCC because of it. It wouldn't matter to me when it aired, it's a word.

  • when she said that I freaked out all worried that they were gonna get canceled or something. and on the season premiere, too. sadness.

  • i dont consider them to be "curse" words, but more verbal enhancers

  • Comment removed

  • explain to me how a word can degrade our morals? it your so weak minded that a word can change the way you think, you should go into absolute seclusion from all of society/any form intelligent contact

  • Words express ideas in a form that they can be shraed. You are doing that now.

  • yes a group of words can form an idea to change the way you think, but you were implying that this one word is drgading our morals, even a word like "god" cant change a thing, until it is further explained, do you get what im saying now?

  • "At the end of days - tolerance will be the greatest sin."

That is by far the stupidest thing anyone has ever said. Ever. Such ignorance.

  • Read what you wrote,

    Do you really mean that?

  • this makes complete sense, the way society wants more and more of everything is ridiculus, if you actually looked into what you say before you formulated an opinion about it, you would sound a lot more intelligent.

  • so fuckin' what!!!

    and big fuckin' deal!!!

  • Casey and Michaela got fired for THIS bitch?!?!? This season is going to suck.

  • Who was Casey and Michaela? Is one of them the chick that plays Barbara Walters in the View skit? I think that's her only reccuring role.

  • ..this is nothing....

  • I also want to add that I used work for an FCC regulated radio station and as per FCC laws, there is a time of day called Safe Habor from 10p-6a where it is okay for indecent material to be broadcast. While "fuck" is one of the 7 dirty words, it was not used in an obscene fashion (explicitly describing sexual acts) therefore it is indecent therefore if it aired after 10pm but before 6am, there's really no reason to call the FBI.

  • frankly im surprised they even gave the new girl her first real sketch on her first ever episode. usually the new people are just stand ins. they didnt even use some of the older castmembers on last night's episode. hey at least it was memorable. i dont think it was a big deal. it was after midnight and an accident. who cares! but i love living on the east coast because that's when things are actually live. the west always gets little edits haha

  • Dude get over yourself. First of all, it was on at like midnight so stop whining. Secondly, the FCC is fucking obnoxious. THIRDLY, I'd rather my FUCKING kid hear someone accidentally slip in an "F*bomb" somewhere than to flip thru the channels at 8pm and see blood and cuts and murder and rape on CSI or NCIS or LMNOP. So go find something important to complain about - like the war in Iraq.

  • who gives a FUCK wat she said it doesnt matter it was an accident she didnt do it on purpose let her say wat she wants, people these days try to make a big deal about every little thing that happens and it pisses me off.

  • Honestly, who fucking cares?

  • i can imagine that it'd be extremely hard to keep saying friggin or freakin. It seems obvious to me that that word would accidentally slip out-- doesn't matter if you swear or not, the words are so similar so that can accidentally happen. I don't see what the deal is, it's late night tv, let them say what they want to say.

  • That was probably the worst SNL I've ever seen. That skit was about the only saving grace. Megan Fox was terrible.

  • "another shining example of NBC's lack professionalism on network television" - - Pretty strong statement for something that appears to be a mistake. I felt bad for her. She and NBC should be given a break.

  • Swearing isn't SNL's problem. Last night was a horrible and painfully unfunny show that is clearly past its prime. u2 wasn't great either

  • This skit frikkin' rocks. And I can only frikkin' imagine that after frikkin' saying the frikkin' word so frikkin' much during the frikkin' skit that the real word would be frikkin dropped. Inevitable! So frikkin' relax! I'm pretty sure that was the idea for the script. Frikkin' rad and I love them for that...

  • I really think the actress was lost in the moment of the performance and it slipped out as if she were really conversing with the other person. It didn't sound intentional. She realizes it and appears shocked for a half second after saying it. When Chris Rocket did it in 1981, he did it too but it was intentional. It was clearly emphasized to shock the host.

How are "biker chicks" supposed to talk anyway? "I frakkin' love you for that!"

  • I gotta give props to NBC for allowing this to air un-edited on the West Coast. I fuckin love them for that, lol! Probably figured they already had the fine, so why not get the ratings!

This is probably just like the whole Kanye West awards show BS and Jay Leno the next day... I wish people would just honestly fuck up instead of the networks creating these contrived situations that everyone has to talk about.

Jeezus, and now Im talking about it..... EVIL!

  • it just aired on the west coast too... You had to figure at some point "friggin" would get accidentally replaced with the real word.

  • hey argentfox, your a moron. They can drop on f-bomb in that alloted time. It's why that allotted time is set up. Well not specifically for that. Comedy central gets away with it every weekend at the same time.

It's comedy, good comedians even when screwing up know that controversy sells at the end of the day.

  • congrats in just joining to debate this....what a sad life you must lead. ;)

  • Comment removed

  • US networks are a bunch of pious cunts, and i fucken love them for that

  • What do you mean "another example of NBC's lack of professionalism"?

She made a mistake. Big deal.

No need to whine like a bitch about it.

  • First night on the job I bet they fucking love her for that..LOL

  • LOL YEAH

  • way to get on that quick!

  • hey poster? do i have your attention? STFU "lack of professionalism" - you self-righteous asshole...this is saturday night live - wtf were u expecting, tea with the fucking queen? it's a word, it's not like she made a racial slur or something, so who cares, she said "fuck" on tv - she's an improv artist (assumedly), and being censored while trying to remain in character relative to ur scene is a pretty frustrating task

  • So...you are defending one persons right to free speech, but not anothers? What kind of person uses "ur" as "you are" anymore? Just wondering...

  • Wtached it live. She's probably kicking herself.

  • ......WOW who cares.

    WOW.

  • Actually, it's not a violation. The FCC has what is called a "safe harbor" between 10 pm and 6 am. During that time, profane language is permitted on broadcast television.

  • Actually, the content of cable is not regulated by the FCC like "over-the-air" television broadcasts. The FCC can only take action if the violation occured in an "over-the-air" broadcast, not satellite or cable. You can check the regulations.

  • You know what...she said fuck and I fucking love her for that!

  • You uploaded this video....and I fuckin love you for that!

  • This is hilarious lmao! and she knew she did it!. Do you have the rest??

  • Yeah, we have the rest but the skit wrapped quickly and was pretty much stupid for the rest of the bit.

  • Put it up, lol i was out so I didn't get to see it. I wanna see what she was like afterwards

  • i swore i heard it too

  • I think we were the first to bring it to ya!!!

  • this is her first show ever for SNL. that's just a big fat fail xD

  • FAIL!!!! LOL

  • this chick's getting fired

  • you can see her facial expression when she knows she messed up

  • FIRST!!!! FUCKING FIRST!!!!

  • Wow, what a compelling statement. You are a genius.
