They do make that card the most that it can do. If you turn the resolution down a bit to, it can really help. Also depends on your Processor and other things. It's different for everyone.

Make sure your 2003 PC has a PCI-E slot, it might be using AGP, if that's the case you need to get an AGP card. Google for both if you don't know which looks like which.

Good card , I have just got one on a swap out for a blown 8800gts 320mb I run it at 1650 x 1080 res using 4 gig OCZ Ram & Pentium Q6600 Quad core processor & Flight Sim X is a hell of a lot smoother probably by 10 - 15fps more , Wow runs at 70 - 110 fps with all settings maxxed 99% of the time & It's currently running at 46 degrees Celsius.

If you don't wan't to spend silly money then you'll be happy with it & at a later date , Bung another one in & run them in SLI Mode.

It is. 1080P is 1920 x 1080 (an aspect ratio of 16:9), 1920 x 1200 is a better resolution and also is an aspect ratio of 16:10.

I think you'll find the 9600GT has half the stream processors than an 8800GT. Not exactly a few less.
